I have main menue created with Categories I cannot take out the description messages on top of the menue. I just want a clean menue without a description from each item on top of each menue button.

After the last update I get the white screen of death until I log in to the file manager from the back-end of my site and replace the newses folder with one from a backup.

When I update I always run them one at a time so newses was the only thing I was updating. I had updated my plugins before this but the site was working preupdate and white screen after. I get nothing from any of my logs so no idea what caused this?

I’m holding off on updating at the moment I hope this last one didn’t have to do with security?

On a clean, fresh installation of WordPress 6.2.2, with no other plugins or themes to conflict with this theme, the widgetized front page area as well as front page sidebar is not responding to adding widgets to it, the widgets do not appear on the page.

Is this because the theme and the associated plugins are not up-to-date with the 6.2.2 version? Does anyone know the reason?

hi, up till version 1.2.9.47 the rolling banner with tranding topics was fine: thumbnail picture+headline.

As of 1.2.9.48 and unchanged in 1.2.9.49 the banner only shows the top 10% of the original image, and no text at all.

Was unable to correct it myself. Please check.

I found a bug in your theme. In the hook.php -? function newses_banner_exclusive_posts().
The post thumbnail code wrong:
<img class="img" <?php echo the_post_thumbnail(); ? />

It puts the image tag twice in the code.

eg. <img class="img" <img width=”1920″ height=”1080″ src=”https://cigam.infora.hu/wp-content/uploads/2022…/uploads/2022/09/Gyereket-a-magasba-1536×864.jpg 1536w” sizes=”(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px” />

HI there, hoping someone can help because I’m tired of trying everything to fix this front page and haven’t figured it out. How come the post slider, post list and featured news aren’t showing up? The widgets are set to the front page content sections, the categories are set, yet all I see is this “home” bar in the middle of the page and a big empty space in the middle with “what you missed” at the bottom. I really like this theme and I feel it fits well with the magazine, however, the home part is an eye sore and I don’t know what else to try to fix this. Can someone help out with this.

When I installed the theme, it was fine but within a few hours, the images on homepages stopped loading and its black boxes coming on the home screen.

I have tried so many things, can you please look in to it, what’s wrong with it?

Okay, I just love this theme!

I’ve been working all weekend to get this right
and I do think this is the one for my new website.
Testing it right now, found some quirks and solved them on the spot, this sure is an easy theme to work with.

But…
The Slider Banner Section…
I can’t get it to do what I want it to do, I know the pro version probably have more option to tweak it.. but I don’t know what is different from this version.
So I’m not sure it will be in there.

(Where is the comparison from the free ‘light’ version to the full pro version
I can’t find it. So what’s in the pro version the light version hasn’t?)

But I know what I want.
I want the Slider Banner Section to behave like the NewsUp Slider Banner Section.
so it that possible to get a slider just like the NewsUp theme Slider Banner Section?

Also the Documentation isn’t clear on how to do things.

I’ve been rebuilding my website with the Newses and Newsup theme..

Haven’t made up my mind yet but Newses is a very good candidate.

However I’m still struggling with some of the options and maybe it is because I’m using the free and not the PRO edition.
And Since I’m still making my mind up, buying it now might be a bit too soon as I’m still haven’t made up my mind.
if you see my current website https://safeunderdark.com you can see it is totally different than the Newses or Newsup for that matter.

but okay, the Question is..

What are the best dimensions to use on the header and the featured images to be used.
I’m getting some weird results in using the images I have now

Header images : 1800 x 1200
full HAD 1920 x 1080

For the featured image I use all sorts of image sizes some are good
but some completely of the charts and look weird in the slider or the main page..

Please advice what to do best.

Also I’ve checked both theme’s documentation but was unable to find any’standard size advice..

Question 2: how do I change the basic purple color? or is that a Pro feature?

Other than that, I think this there rocks!
