Just discovered that Motion theme is no longer supported or updated and wonder if anyone has found a compatible and like-for-like alternative that I can use instead.

I used to have my custom banner coded into the style.css file of this theme. The banner was located between the rows for categories and pages. I recently had to reinstall the theme and I lost my custom banner. I tried re-including the code into the style.css file just under for following line:

I added the following code just under what’s shown above and this code used to work. Does anyone here know what I need to do to reinstate my custom banner between the rows for categories and pages at the header of this theme?

Pretty much the same topic that was opened by amikahad three years ago. There’s no answer on the post, but I checked his site and he seems to have fixed the issue. Anybody know how it was done?

]]>Given that the Motion theme has over a quarter of a million downloads, it would seem that there would be some continuity on its use. There really needs to be some discussion about this. For me, it is still working beautifully in WP 3.5.2. Does anyone have experience with this theme and WP 3.6? Thanks in advance.
]]>Is it possible to give a css style to the selected category (= primary) menu button?
I see that this is implemented for the top menu, but can’t figure out how to do it for category menu tabs.
Could you tell me how to center the contents of the primary_menu. For example I have 5 categories that are horizontal menu categories with dropdown sub categories. The horizontal links leave blank space to the right of them and are aligned left. So centering them is needed so there is equal space on left and right sides.

Yesterday I purchased the $30 Custom Design to customize the fonts on my website. Now when I access the homepage either (a) only the Motion theme background appears with no content and an error notification, or (b) the homepage loads with the error notification and content on the following pages is MIA.

]]>Hey Everyone, I have a problem with the Drop-Down Menu in Motion 1.1.6
When I fist installed and activated the theme it showed the menu I edited in a different theme with 1 parent category and 5 children perfectly as a drop down. But since I tried to edit it to a different style it just wont work anymore. What I would like to have is all 5 sub categories as the main menu buttons and a few ones with even deeper sub-categories as a drop down.
I have it all set up in the menu settings as

But the theme will just ignore the sub categories and not drop anything from the menu. And even if I go back to exactly what I had in the first place with just the parent category and a few pages on the menu it still wouldnt show the sub-categories anymore.
I dont know what to do its frustrating me a lot.

My client had logged into there wp site.
They noticed that there were some updates for wp, gadgets and the theme.
So they ran all the updates.. Now the site looks like this..
They had it more like the original layout of the motion theme.
So question for you is how do I get it back to looking like the default layout of the Motion Theme?

]]>Hi, I am building a site for a friend who is an infant massage therapist. I am using the Motion Theme and have a couple problems that I can’t figure out how to fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Here is the site so far:

Number 1 is the most important problem:
1) there is a “no categories” field that shows up at the top of every page. I would like to remove this, hide this, or – if something has to stay there – replace it with another phrase like “infant massage classes” – I have no use for categories in this blog/website. I have not been able to figure out how to do this.
2) footer – I would like to remove the Friends and Links/ Pages/ Monthly Archive that shows up on every page. When I look under widgets, it doesn’t show anything there. Yet these keep showing up. How do I get rid of them, or replace them with just Pages by itself? (I tried adding just one widget, based on one message board’s suggestion… but when I do that, it changes nothing, the same things continue to show up at the bottom of the page!)
3) size of site title: any way to make this bigger (Infant Massage) ?
4) size of page names at the top of the page (About Alicia/ Contact Me/ Massage Benefits/ Upcoming Classes): any way to make those bigger??
I would so much appreciate your help with these. I really like this theme, so I don’t want to switch to another one.
