This theme is very nicely put together. It’s clean and simple and makes a great parent theme. It’s easy to customize and you don’t have to spend a ton of time deregistering and dequeuing scripts and styles and fonts you don’t want. The theme author has managed to build out beautiful and readable typography using just system fonts. Plus, it’s accessibility-ready!
Really great work. I’ve used it for about 10 sites already and more to come!

I was looking at several demos of themes that claim to be fast, including one that claimed to obtain a Pagespeed score of 100. None of them come close. The home pages weighed in at 64 or 79. That’s actually worse than my super heavy theme with Foundation and all that mess.
The Miniva demo site is the exception. It got an amazing 97 for the home page and a perfect 100 on an internal page. I’ve never seen that before with WordPress.
I don’t actually want to change my blog theme, but this has me wanting to put the effort in to get that speed benefit. I’m on slow internet because of where I live an I just love sites that load fast.

Miniva was a theme that inspired me when I saw how it was coded. The idea behind this theme is just amazing. There should be more vanilla js theme and so well crafted as this theme.
