Hi! Making a test with the plugin Php compatibility I found an incompatibility with the free version of Minimal Grid’s theme with the 8.0 php version, in fact if I proced the site breaks. On the page of the theme is written that the compatibility is from 7.0 . What I should do?

If I open the theme on my mobile phone, the left side menu is always hidden, and I need to use the 3 lines on the top left-hand corner to open it, is there any way that this menu is never hidden??

Im trying to add a simple “read more” button to a text, to hide like 3/4 of it as its too long, I’ve tried with the wordpress option and also with a plugin and non of them work…

Just a recap of a previous problem that has since resolved itself and so the theme is not stuck on loading anymore.

If the devs fixed it, thank you.

That said, while I would like to go with Minimal Grid, I’ve noticed that it hasn’t been updated since last year, at least apparently. So is there an intent on continued support of this theme?

Or maybe I can mod/’support’ it myself using the new WordPress 6’s Full Site Editing?

I am testing, both locally on my computer and on an online host, Minimal Grid as a candidate theme…
I have disabled all plugins and in both cases, when in the WP Customizer and a link on the page (in menu) is selected, the theme’s ‘bouncing worm/half-circle’ (‘please wait’) animation just continues without a page-load to the linked page.
I don’t have this problem with all other themes tried.

Any ideas?

Is there a way to order posts by date (newest first, oldest last) on the homepage with this theme?

I noticed whenever someone leaves a comment that post with the comment jumps to the top of the grid. Can this functionality be disabled?

WP version – 5.6

I’m a WP newbie and converting a genesis site to minimal grid. All going well. Problem = search page icon from the menu takes you to a bright yellow page and has no logo on it.
I’ve uploaded an ugly logo image temporarily just to test this. Perhaps the “header” image should be on there, but minimal grid seems to have a bug on “uploading a header image” too.
(Otherwise, I’m not doing too badly, I think!!!!)
Any advice appreciated on how to make that search page more bearable!

Hi – I like the Minimal Grid theme and am considering buying the PRO version but want to trial the free version before committing. The first thing I’ve tried is creating a child-theme and I’ve hit a snag. The link colour in the child theme is #337AB7 instead of #000000 as in the parent theme – same in all links e.g. on the About page you can see the same in the right side bar with archive dates etc.

I’ve checked the enqueuing of parent styles and it seems ok yet I’m having this problem.

I’ve overcome this by brute-force for now by adding customer CSS to the tag but would rather not have to do that.

Hopefully you can help me please, I’m tearing my hair out with this one ??
I’m using the built-in wordpress audio player on my site and the audio works fine on my laptop. But the audio players do not work on an iphone (I’ve tested on a few different ones on chrome). Here’s an example: https://www.studiobrootle.com/dub-techno-tutorial-ableton/
I cannot play the audio on my phone.

If I change the theme, the players work fine on iphone, so I’m fairly sure this issue is due to the them.
Any ideas on what it might me or how I can fix it, please?

Most times the masonry grid doesn’t layout correctly. Any suggestions? It does when you scroll down and then it seems to wake up and align the boxes all okay.

How can I change the font of the site description without changing the font size of the entire sidebar (title, links, etc.)?

I’ve tried this syntax:

.site-description{
font-family: ‘Arial’, sans-serif; !important
}

But it seems something is overriding it. I can’t find where it is. I can change font size, spacing, padding etc with the .site-description just not the font type.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On the main page where it shows all the posts in a grid, I can’t figure out how to make the description text with the […] clickable so that it goes to the full post. Please help!

Whenever page is viewed in mobile view (less than 991 px, as it is in css) the sidebar is displayed below the posts area.

I put some important info in the sidebar, and with infinite scroll enabled, there is no way for the visitor (unless he/she scrolls the page very fast) to get to the bottom of the page to actually see the content of the sidebar. In infinite scroll there is always gonna be a post that will be displayed before the sidebar.

Could You help and tell me where to edit css, to make the sidebar displayed as first (on the top) and posts as second area (below the sidebar)

When the menu expands the masonry object doesn’t behave exactly right, the masonry elements don’t fit the page exactly as they should and the margins aren’t equal. Is there a way to trigger a “layout” method on the masonry object when the menu is opened similar to the re-layout that happens when the window resizes.

I am still on the fence about this theme. It looks dope and I have trial it. Two things though:

1) When going from full width and back using the 3 horizontal bars thingy, the grid spacing will be stuck until more grids are loaded.

2) My current adsense plugin can’t insert any ads.

I am seriously considering going pro because, this theme is really gorgeous and finally, something that fits my need.
