I can do easily editing header.php and it works on desktop version but not in mobile version : /

What else should I edit?!

In a test server of my website https://pressks.com/ I had tried to install this MH Newsdesk lite theme. However, it is causing an error and showing installation failed. How this is happening and earlier I tried the same couple of months ago on another website and it was the same. I got the same theme for free from the internet. Is that the issue?

Hi,

So the full MH Newsdesk theme has been a little wonky lately. The Tags suddenly started appearing at the top of posts when they never had before. I added .entry-tags { display: none; } to Additional CSS but it didn’t do anything. How can I hide them? I don’t like that they appear at the very top.

Also, the Breadcrumb separator I had been using for years suddenly appears gigantic and takes up the entire screen to where you have to scroll down past several of them. I have changed it to a regular arrow for now but I had been using ? for years.

I’m getting an issue with this theme after installation, some browser is not compatible. Basically in mobile views.

hi. when i chose, show latest blogpost on home page. the first post always get the featured image too big. and the others in a good size. how to do to set the first image with the same resolution?

Hello people – I’m totally new to WordPress and have bought the ‘WP for Dummies’ and ‘WP Web Design for Dummies’ but am stumped by the most basic thing – how do I edit the ‘top blue navigation bar’ on my HM NEWSDESK LITE theme ?
And add pictures?
I am sure I am missing the most basic instructions somewhere.
I would like to put links in to pages, change background and font colour etc.
Is there a theme I can use for practice that comes with a step-by-step tutorial on how to modify it?

I am trying to add another button which takes the user back to the homepage in between the Next and Previous buttons on my posts.

Any help as to where/how i can add this from?

when someone posts commments they show empty. if i try to edit them and put some text. they show up. the theme is un-modified. why ?

hi im pretty new to customizing wordpress theme, any idea how to change the colors of recent post link ? since they look similar to ordinary text….

All I want to do is remove the page title. I don’t want to use CSS to do it. I want to actually remove the title. The reason is because on different pages I want the title to be displayed differently. I accomplish this by putting the title where I want for each page via the H1 tag.

I first tried to create a Page Template. Unfortunately, the way MH Newsdesk Lite has their page formatted is extremely odd. Makes it much more difficult to edit the code to do something as simple as removing the title.

Try to see my website in mobile version. The featured images in the frontpage seem awful(with grey gaps at the left and the right side). How can i fix this problem?

which is remove feature images from the site but none seems to be working for me.

also I’d like to remove tags and categories.

My links and embedded content don’t show up when displayed on home page.

This should be an easy one, but I’m completely lost:

We’ve got our Homepage Settings set to static, with our homepage and blog page properly set.

We’ve also got Settings>Reading set showing the same static homepage and blog page — but we’re not seeing the blog feed on the actual home (front) page.

That should work, shouldn’t it?

How do you change the author’s name on posts? Not all of my posts are going to be written by me, but yet they all say “posted by: kurt”.

And how do you remove the date from posts? I don’t want people to see how old my posts are.

And if you look at the bottom of any article it has a “other popular articles” section where it shows 4 more of his articles. How do you get it to do that?

When I activate this theme it has several links to my pages in the top navigation. I want to remove these pages from the top navigation, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to do that. It doesn’t matter if I access “menus” from the back end or the front end it doesn’t show that there are any menus. So if there are no menus created then how did all these page links get into the main navigation area? And how do I remove them?

I have a problem with the header menu in responsive mode – it is not shown. In full seize/desktop version it is visible.

I have build a child theme, but header.php is original built, no changes.

Any ideas?

When posting, WordPress defaults to a blue type, centered. I have to reset to black, flush left every time; it will not accept my changes as the default. But I can fix it (inconveniently) in the individual posts. But when the posts are displayed on my home page, they retain their centered, blue font. This was not always happening – it just started – so I must have accidentally selected something, somewhere, but I cannot find a general type setting, or anything like that.

Any idea?

Hello, I am using the Theme MH Newsdesk and a Plugin for archiving posts. Archived posts have the status “archived” and should not be shown on the front end to the visitors. How can I filter the Post in the Theme to only sho “active” posts? News Wiged tec.? Can you help?

Hi, sorry to disturb but have to ask: I’m using NewsDesk free version and I can see 5 standard widget areas… Only Global one is working, if I place a widget on any other, they don’t display. Am I doing something wrong? I just would like to display different in Home and Global…

After latest update Header Menu have serious problems. There are no color. Everything is blank. Only when you move on menus then they shows.

Hi! My name’s António Dias. I have a MH Newsdesk lite template wich works great. But every time I click on a post – or any user/reader – the page layout changes to a single one column post with no side bar, images, footer, more post or whatever its displayed on the front page. Ex: https://www.revistagira.com layout its diferent from https://www.revistagira.com/2017/10/10/detidas-16-pessoas-durante-a-feira-anual-de-vila-franca/ layout. Is it beacuse I have de ‘lite’ version and not the full version? Or is there, in the lite version, an option to turn the front page layout common in every page and post page?

I’ve tried everything to get rid of your author box on your MH Newsdesk lite theme but nothing. I am currently using a different plugin for it but now I have two author boxes…. How can I remove just your author box?

I installed the lite theme and did not show the photos in my article. I mention that pictures appear when you open the article.
Another problem is that in the lateral sidebar the text in the title does not appear whole.
