Anyone know how we can turn on Prev and Next on posts?

Hi, is there a way to avoid the theme to resize the featured image? I always use images 1200×675 as posts’ featured image, but Maxwell theme shows the image cropped and resized to 810×580.

Can the theme avoid cropping and resizing, showing the image without altering it, in the original resolution, and just scaling it to fit the column width without losing resolution?

This would help for SEO purposes, as Google prefers sites with large featured images. As Google explains here, sites showing large images “at least?1200 px wide and enabled by the?max-image-preview:large?setting” are more likely to be selected by Google Discover. However, if we use Maxwell theme, the page presents an image 810px wide. Would be great if the page showed the image in the original size, just adapting it to the column width.

Hi! I wanted to integrate the Elementor page builder to my blog. After detecting possible issues I am quite certain it doesn’t work due to the Maxwell theme. My question: Is the WordPress default loop used in the layout so I can work with Elementor?

Please let me know how I can enable this plugin for the Maxwell theme.

The theme is great. Google search is only showing publish dates for my articles. I searched online and came to know that publish date needs to be removed from my theme.
1. How can I remove Publish date from Maxwell theme?
2. Is there a way to show Update date in Maxwell theme?

I am using Mazwell theme with wordpress.com.
I am unable to edit any date while creating post. I can’t even make a post private.

Not my site, but I’m volunteering some time. On the homepage, the site owner has a right sidebar legacy widget – Follow. It consists of an email entry field and a Submit button.

The Submit button is black on page load; how can I change the color to the site theme (orange)?

The top menu of our website started displaying incorrectly, as a bullet list, instead of a drop down with the main links. I’m not sure what changed to make that happen. Can anyone assist? All plugins, themes, wordpress version updated.

After the update to Maxwell 2.0, I get this error in the console if I open a sub-menu in the main navigation.

Hey there. I’m looking for a way to make posts that show up in the magazine widget not ALSO show up in the main feed below. The way it looks now, any post that shows up in the magazine is duplicated. I have tried hiding posts from the homepage using Ultimate Category Excluder, but that also hides the posts from the magazine widget.

I found a missing implementation problem in the “template-parts” for content. In content.php, content-single.php, and content-slider.php, you use the maxwell_*() functions, which could be easily overwritten in the child theme.

Thats awesome, because I need to add the image just above “the_content” in order to float it right. It’s easy to implement this. Love it so far. ??

Problem: Unfortunately you use the WordPress stock function the_post_thumbnail() in “template-parts\content-page.php”

Because of this, I can’t move the image from the article header to the content area. ??

Please implement a maxwell_*() function to load the thumbnail in “template-parts/content-page.php” to.

Is there a way to add a header image that will sit in the empty white space on the top right? Currently if I add a header image it pushes the header to the right whilst leaving the tagline in place below, making everything out of alignment.

I am using the Static Homepage Magazine Template. I am using the Magazine Grid widget at the top. Is it possible to set my home page up so that when someone clicks on one of the six thumbnails in that Magazine Grid at the top of my home page, they are taken to a different page that I specify? In other words, I want them to be able to click on a thumbnail on my home page and NOT go to the post that the thumbnail comes from, but to go somewhere else, to an external page.

Can someone take a look at my site and please tell me how I can adjust the container holding the logo? There is way too much white space above and below the logo image.
Using Chrome developer tools it looks like div.header-main.container.clearfix is what needs to be adjusted.

Any help would be appreciated!

I’ve recently updated my WP site’s theme to use the Maxwell theme and so far so good. Nice theme.

I’m using the Event Calendar by Modern Tribe on one of my pages and the date picker gets exaggerated (made bigger then it should) by the theme. Have you come across this issue before with your themes? Would it be a JS conflict or something similar? Please note I only have this issue with the Maxwell and Chronus themes. All other themes I’ve tested don’t cause an issue with the date picker.

I have a slider on my startpage, showing the 5 latest entrys. all of a sudden it shows the author’s name and creation date above the titel. That’s new, I don’t want that. I checked everything – any idea how to get rid of that?

I’ve installed Maxwell theme on my blog tohelpteens.com. Every time a user posts a comment, and I edit and approve it, it takes my admin gravatar image (the same image for me and the user as well). When I set the default avatar image as ‘mystery man’ icon, my admin gravatar image on the top of the post also disappears and gets replaced by the ‘mystery man’ icon.

So, how do I keep my admin gravatar image at the top of the post, and set a ‘mystery man’ icon for all users in the comments section underneath every post?

I want the previous/next post navigation that is at the bottom when reading a post to only display posts within the category that the current post is in.

For example, if I’m reading a post in category A, the theme will currently suggest posts from all other categories. How do I tell the theme to only suggest posts from category A? Or only display posts from category B if I’m reading a post that’s in category B?

Is this possible?

I am translating Maxwell theme with Poedit to Dutch language.
The string “% comments” generates an error when saving the .po-file.
In the WordPress Customizer in the Post options section texts are not translated.
Also the texts “Previous Post” and “Next Post” are not translated.
What can be a solution?

I’m using the free version of Maxwell and I’d like to make some adjustments that I can’t figure out.

1) How can I center align the logo, site title and tagline? It currently sits on the far left; if I insert this content into the header, it sits on the far right.

2) Is there a way for me to “text transform – capitalize” the blog post titles?
