Hi, I’m using the Make theme and the Make Plus plugin. I have an issue with the Make content box. When I put text (and images) into a content box whole paragraphs disappear and don’t show when I preview or view the saved page. They reappear when I go back to the content box and press return. Then they disappear again even though I haven’t changed the content at all.
This is a new problem and I think it’s only started since I updated WordPress to 6.4.1
Could it be a conflict with the theme or the plugin?

]]>My high school reunion website, created using the Make theme has been dormant for the past five years. I am in the process of updating it for an upcoming reunion event in September, 2023. The site seems to be working as designed with one huge exception.
When viewed on a phone or tablet or Windows computer. the home page returns “page not found” error. All other pages on this site can be viewed without an issue by clicking on an external link or from the site’s menu. When the site is accessed from a desktop computer Windows computer after logging in as the admin, everything displays properly.
How can I fix this?

However it seems that after I install the user can now manually upload the SVG file after being fully restricted to the file format permissions I specified:
I also used the command unset($mime_types[‘svg’]);
However it has no effect. I have tried users can still upload svg files, in Elementor advanced settings I have also disabled file uploading.
Out of fear the user will upload the svg file with malicious code. I want to disable them on my website

We are using a virtual machine having LAMP. it does not have a control panel. we have access to the console. We have a notification for PHP update to version 7.4 currently we are using version 7.0.33 kindly help us with the step to update PHP to the newest version.
]]>One of my visitors reports that the text of the page below renders in the Hover font color (light blue instead of the correct dark blue). He says all other pages render in dark blue. He is using Windows/Firefox. The page displays correctly on my computer using the same combination, and that of a team member who checked.
I asked him to purge the cache, but he said it only changed part of the font. Does anyone have suggestions as to cause and prevention?

I’m new to WordPress and I’m using the Euphony theme. I have used some additional css from advice in this forum to enable the header image on my website to adjust in size when viewing on a tablet or mobile (see below). However, a large space appears between the header image and the content of the page – it almost looks like a header box underneath the image. Any help gratefully received ??
My added css so far is:

The <!–Read more–> tag doesn’t work on the theme anymore. It used to work but for some reason it stopped working. There is no “insert read more” tag in the new block editor. Could this be an update issue? The other posts from the past that I used it with is still working as it should with the tag, but it stopped. Not actually sure if its because of the theme or wordpress itself and the new block editor–it won’t allow me to revert back to the classic. I’ve tried it with the code editor as well, still stopped working.
In addition, I see no “additional Css” in the customizer anymore.
I was hoping I could maybe use that to fix the read more or show the excerpts properly, but when I click “allow excerpts” in editor it automatically removes the featured images.
To summarize,
I want the read more to work properly and to have the option to add css in the theme customizer.
Can anyone give me some pointers on fixing this issue? Thanks.

It uses the classes: notice-warning settings-error. I don’t want to use your other plugin. This is neither a settings error nor should it be a warning. Normally, I would code backend CSS to make this advertisement disappear, but since it’s codes as an error/warning I don’t want to make them all disappear.
Any other ideas how to remove this perpetually self-respawning advertisement?

I’m trying to make the image in the second block down of the caravans full size in column 2.
It’s basically a 2 column content section. However I adjust the css, or change the size of the image there is always a while border around it.
If there was a way to select a background image for one column – that would do it.

I checked on browser and i find two identical files in sources.
I know this is because of some plugins but i dont know which exactly i have 28 plugins active.

Hey there, I’ve been experimenting with not loading /wp-content/themes/make/css/libs/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.min.css
This makes my site super fast, but it also breaks some styles that don’t seem related to icons.
This has me thinking of a new strategy. Is there a way to only load CSS for the 4 icons I actually use?
I tried unloading font-awesome.min.css and loading an identical file my-fa.css as a test, but it still messed up the formatting.
Any clues how I can reduce the amount of font awesome css I’m loading?

Without the link, the logo on the homepage does not have the bottom margin it has on other pages. Changing the selector from a.custom-logo-link to .custom-logo-link would fix it.

Hello! I am using the free version of Make. In its documentation, it says there is an option to remove the white space in between sections in a builder page (it’s a box in the configure settings). I cannot for the life of me find this – is this only available in the paid version? It seems ridiculous that this would only be available in the paid version, considering that most wouldn’t want white space.
]]>For some reason, the navigation menu is not working on the homepage on the mobile version of my website.
It does work perfectly fine on the desktop version of my site. And it does work on all other pages on the mobile version of my site. It’s only on the homepage of the mobile version that it will not work.
It is a dropdown menu button and nothing happens when trying to open it.
I tried disabling all my plugins and clearing the cache, etc, etc. Nothing fixes the problem.

]]>Hi. I switched to the Make theme from another theme I was previously using. Now that I am using the Make theme, when I go to the posts that I created using the other theme, I am able to edit those using the Gutenberg editor. When I create a NEW post, there is no option to create that post or edit that post using the Gutenberg editor. All new posts that I create are having to be created using the classic editor. As I said, I have no option available that would let me switch it to Gutenberg editor. Why can I use that editor with old posts but not new ones? Am I completely missing something?

So I know I can override functions in my child theme’s functions.php. However, I would like to override certain functions that are within the in/sections/gallery/definition.php file. Normally, I think this wouldn’t be an issue, but the functions in this file are within the MAKE_Sections_Gallery_Definition class.
I haven’t figured out a way to override functions within this file without completely copy/pasting and overriding the entire class. I only want to update ~3 functions within the class, so it seems silly to override the whole thing?
I’m not super proficient in php, but I’ve at least managed to figure out how to get my modifications working…I’d just like to streamline it so I’m not missing out on potential updates by overriding entire files worth of functions.
