how do I get the site-title to sit over the homepage image as it appears in the promo for the theme

but I need help to configure the footer. Can I make it sticky to the bottom? I tried some ways but didn’t find the right solution.

It work with iphone in safari,chrome. And PC in IE,firefox. That’s what i confirmation.

I customized this part of css.But doesn’t work with PC in chrome.

( I will need to customize font that easy to read with background-image. I will be able to do it.)
I have tried to change opacity, But doesn’t work.

I have wp job manager installed and would like to reduce the font size of the job title via css since it is as big as the page title. I have tried to use a lot of css codes i found across the web but still it did not reduce the font size.

How do I add text and a call to action button to the featured image set for my static homepage?

This suggestion was made but I don’t know how to go about accomplishing this code:
To add a call to action text & button, you will probably have to create a child theme & add code to a copy of the header.php.

Any assistance or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve decided to use an image slider that allows me to customize images with call to action buttons. The only issue is now I have a white space at the bottom of the homepage after removing the header & footer from that page.

What code can I add to the Custom CSS to remove the white space? Thank you.

I am 95% done setting up my site with the Magnus theme. It’s really clean and easy to use. I’m using a static homepage with just an image and the top navigation.

I’m really stuck on the following:

1. Ideally, I would like to add text and/or a button that links to another page on my site. Like this: https://bliccathemes.com/farmvilla/wp/v4/ However, if I can’t accomplish this, I will have to make the homepage featured image clickable but I cannot make the image clickable because of the zoom/ pulse effect? How do I turn off the zoom effect?

2. I used the below Custom CSS code to remove the footer, page title and white space from the homepage but it also removes the sidebar navigation. How do I get the sidebar navigation back? Without this, there is no navigation on mobile devices.

Hi there. Thank you for this clean, beautiful and easy to use theme. I’ve gotten my site up in less than 24 hours. I am stuck on a couple things.

1. The sidebar navigation does not drop down when selected from the homepage. The three menu items disappear and an X appears.

2. How do I add a captcha to my comments box or remove the comment boxes altogether?

How do I get the title (that is on the top left as default) to be bigger? and how do I change the color?
I would also like to change the size/ pixel (and possibly color) of the font of the menu items in the top navigation next to the hamburger.
I would like the size of the letters to match the others….the letters look thinner.

**Also, is there a way to center these “titles” that appear under the featured image of each page?
**And how do I get rid of the extra white space under the featured image, so that viewers don’t have to do so much scrolling?

The way the pages are shown in the sidebar of the demo isn’t how they are shown on the website I’m making. Does anyone know how to get it to look like in the demo?

My website makes it just a list of links, but I want it to be like in the demo so the childpages put underneath the parentpage and tabbed in

Can anyone advise where I can correct the alignment of the ‘Older Posts’ link on the home page of Magnus theme. It lies just above the footer.
I’m not too skilled, but have created a child theme and added social media icons to the footer. these are centred and I’d like the “older Posts” link above them to align properly.
I don’t really understand why it lies off centre to the left slighty in the first place.

Thanks for developing this theme. I like it and use it for my homepage. I like the way the frontpage photo is zoomed in but would like to add some photo’s so that after say 7 seconds another photo is shown. Is there a way to do that in this theme?

Have installed the Particpants Database plugin but the font size on entry forms is too large and therefore doesn’t make it suitable for mobile (size-wise) when vertical.

I’m using an image with white background and would like my “hamburger” icon to be “dark” (sort?). (The one on top right for the Social Media Menu). Cannot see the white icon on a light background.

The browser I am using is Chrome.

Hi, I have a static front page setup on my site, its a featured image. But below it there is a large white section above the footer. How do I get rid of this? I got rid of the title of the home page, so the word “HOME” is gone. All I want is a single image that takes up the entire space. Without any extra “page” below it.

First of all, thanks for this template! I love it! But as a photographer, I wish my images would show perfectly the way I want and the size I want. And this is not happening in the blog posts. It’s limited to 984px max and when I upload a bigger image, it doesn’t show properly (bad quality, blurred). Even if I post a 984×656 sized image, the quality is really bad, not even close to my editing. I tried using an image optimizer plugin, but doesn’t seem to change anything at all.

Is it possible that the “container” is a little bit wider and my images would be bigger with better quality? I really hope you guys can help me, because this is the best template I’ve ever had and it’s perfect for my blogging ??

I would like to take this opportunity to thank-you for putting the time into creating such a wonderful theme. I have spent the last few weeks looking for a more suitable theme for my photography website, this is when I discovered Magnus. I wanted a theme where the majority of the images are on the landing page so visitors only need to scroll.

I have already made the mistake of editing the custom CSS, which is my first question? I have now uploaded the Jetpack and copied what I have done into that. How does this work when an update is released. Will I loose all my custom colours etc?

Finally, how do I go about changing the font size of the text on the front page? Some of the titles are broken and I would like to scale it down to stop this and maybe lower the opacity if possible.

I am a rank amateur when it comes to CSS so apologies in advance if only a simple task.

Hi, I like your topic very much, but I have a few shortcomings. I would like the highlighted image of a specific post to be maintained in the header image even if new posts are made, that image is maintained and no changes occur. I hope and can solve myself thanks!

I’d like to add an option to the post/page editor to disable featured images from appearing.

Would still like to have a featured image associated with the post for the loop sake, but would like sometimes to turn off the big image at the top of the single post page.

Just curious to know how to approach this.

I would like to be able to add sub-pages to the top navigation menu and have them appear in a drop down.

Is this possible? Is there a good way to activate or add this in?

The last space character in all post titles is being replaced by a non breaking space character ” “.

I would like to remove the navigation links at the bottom of the page (“Older posts” link) and put something else there. I’m new to WordPress and can’t figure out where to do that in the code. Does anyone know?

We have just installed the Magnus theme on our wordpress site and have discovered the menu slide bar does not appear on the Chrome browser. It appears fine on MS Edge and Firefox, but not in chrome.
