I am using Lodestar theme and I have my contact number displayed at the top of the website, by using “Theme Options” –> “Header Top Text” and then putting my contact number in the text box. By doing this, the number properly appears in the website. However, the challenge is that this is not a clickable link, due to which I am not getting calls and also having issues in my Google Search ads. Need guidance on how to make this phone number as clickable, so that it directly opens the phone dialer when people click on the phone number. Look forward to suggestions.

I would like the background of the pages to be black with white text. Unfortunately, the editing mode has a white background, so if I change the text to white, I can’t see anything. Is there a way to change the background color on the editing pages?

How can I reposition the panels? I want to place them in different sections of the home page, but when I go to Customize to create the panels, they default to the bottom of the page.

The background colour for the panel in the front page (white) differs from the colour in the referenced page (black) making it difficult to create a good text vs background contrast. I could overcome this if you could provide the appropriate additional CSS to set the colour in the referenced page (say white) without changing the colour in the front page

I am using your Lodestar theme as a simple “business card” type of website for my business, and it’s exactly what I need. But the black header bar that displays a menu on the left and custom text on the right is an issue for me.

If I am going to use to black header bar at all, I only want to display my phone number because I have no other pages to list in the menu and skipping to certain parts on the page is not working accurately for some reason. I want to display the phone number in the center because it looks funny otherwise when only the phone number is there. However, I have tried deleting the left-side menu and some other things and can’t get the phone number in the custom text field to be centered.

If this is not possible, I would like to remove the black header bar altogether. I have also tried this in the theme editor but couldn’t figure out how to remove it.

Please scroll down this page to the footer. As you see in the footer, there are three widgets (footers). However, there is a blank space on right and left side. My boss does not want it. He wants me to add one more widget (4th footer widget) which I guess my theme does not allow. And he wants me to remove the blank space on both right and left side.
Kindly, help which additional CSS code will help with this ?

I am attempting to use a cover block in my webpage. I am using the theme called – lodestar – I have created a site on wordpress.com with no issues making my cover block full screen before…. I am now creating a site with GoDaddy powered by WordPress, and I am unable to make the cover block full-width.

The button only has options for left, centre and right alignments… The width options just disappeared for me. I am unsure of what to do now. I have created sites with the same theme before and had no trouble.

I also tried downloading a plugin to make the page full width and it worked for my cover block, however it messed up the rest of my site (paragraphs, posts, etc)

Does anyone have a CSS code or something to help me with this issue?

My issue is all of the images except the featured image I add to to homepage are not displayed at full opacity.

Also background colors seem to have the same issue – not full opacity, but only on the homepage.

All other pages work as expected.

Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it?

On the first page that appears when the website loads, a background image, site title and tagline can be added. I would like to also add a button on this page. The button would be linked to a ConvertKit email sign up form.

I would ideally like the button to appear under the tagline “Helping Educators Build Wealth.”

I would like to be able to change the height of the banner on the top of the screen on all other pages on my website other than the home page. I realize the banner on the other pages is smaller but it’s still takes up too much room. I’m afraid people will not see they need to scroll down to read the page content. If need be, if there is an option to delete the banner off of all other pages besides the home page that would work too.
Other than that, if the homen page menu items would actually jump straight to the page content that would work too.

I’m just putting together my homepage and I’m pretty new. I am using the Lodestar theme. I noticed that the homepage of my website looks different than the other pages. I would like my homepage to look the same as the others.
I have already tried the following code from this thread:

Hi I have been searching the support forums for this issue and the two CSS fixes i did find do not seem to work for me. Lodestar 1.0.8 The home page width is wider than all other pages and posts as per my blog. How can I make all pages the same width as the home (about) page?

Is there a way to change the default font the lodestar theme is using? I didn’t see anything under Customize.

When I view the homepage of my website on a laptop its very wide but the other pages have bigger margins (which I prefer in presentation, especially for my YouTube clips). If I want my homepage too look the same size as the other pages where do I enter the correct code and what would the correct code be for that. I would also want all pages to automatically resize for smaller devices as it already does.

I have been using the Lodestar Theme and am happy with my website.

For some time I have had messages such as : Your site is running an insecure version of PHP (5.6.40), and should be updated.

Whenever I have tried to update PHP in the past, it has broken my website and Bluehost have been able to fix it for me.

Today I received an email from Bluehost saying that I would no longer be able to use older versions of PHP.

I really hope that I don’t need to rebuild my website from scratch, does anybody know if it is possible for me to continue using the Lodestar Theme with an updated PHP?

If I have no alternative but to start again with a new theme, is there another theme similar to Lodestar that anyone would recommend?

Hello! I’m working with and enjoying the Lodestar theme, but I have one issue:

I prefer the appearance of the paralax panels on the home page when they are set to ‘two column’, but contending with making the content within the pages that make up the panels becomes much more difficult when panels are set to the two column option – the interaction between the themes two column setting and wordpress blocks often has surprising results I would rather avoid.

To that end, is there CSS I can add so that the ‘one column’ panel setting creates paralax sections divided by a simple horizontal line, rather than the standard stepped appearance? This would allow me to have greater control over the contents of the panels, as I could simply use blocks and not run into complications arising from the ‘two column’ setting.

Hi! I am trying to change the background color of my entire website. I went to Customizing > Colors > Background Color – and changed to #fff but the background is still #000 … why is this so?

I cannot find anyway else that is set to #000 on dashboard of WP and my Additional CSS does not interfere with this too.

There is also this “Header Text Color” – may I know which text color does this change specifically? I cannot pinpoint it.

Hi there again, sorry for second topic in a row. I’ve solved the first regarding breadcrumbs. So this is kind of a follow up topic.

Now, however, I realized that when users go to the “Category” page, they only see 1 post by 1 post at a time. This isn’t too user-friendly, esp for blog readers, as they would want to see all the available posts at one shot!

I’d like to edit the page showing my blog posts (ie. the /category page), for each category, to display a each post in a format that is easier to preview ALL!

Been using for years. However, I’d like to add breadcrumb to help users navgiate my website as it is growing larger.

How can I add breadcrumbs to my pages and posts? I’d like to be able to control it with CSS/HTML/PHP.

Can advice on a few simple lines of code for me to add to the .php file for the page and/or post templates?

Or, perhaps, any other elegant solutions (without slowing my site down or making it too cumbersome)?

Hi – having some problems implementing the portfolio feature on the lodestar theme.

I’ve added ‘portfolio’ to the pages I want – but not actually sure how to activate it all.

I want the ability to showcase my projects in tiles, that can be sorted (shown in the original lodestar demo -https://wordpress.com/theme/lodestar (scroll down to the bit on portfolios)

This is my site Link. When I traverse to my blog page. My blog page’s blog does not show up. Gone through with lot of articles, using incognito mode, tried with activate/deactivate plugins but nothing is helping.

I am having two use cases:

If I do changes in my settings like this: Appearance -> Customize -> General Theme Options -> Homepage settings > A static front page -> and check from there ‘A static front page’ > choose a page to set up as your front-page and select your blog page as your ‘Posts page’ > save. Then my blog page does not load at all.

I really love your design Kokkkie! been using lodestar for years.
Recently one of my business use this theme and wordpress.
Understand your theme main menu is not sticky by default. So I tried a few plugins and found this most suitable – sticky menu (or anything) on scroll.
Most issues are solved… but still:

1) I realized the theme functions such that the mobile menu and desktop view menu changes style/format only when you scroll right to the top of the page. That means that when I scroll to the middle or bottom, the menu is stuck and does not change to fit the viewport and appropriate media screens size. Of course by default you cannot see it because the menu is not sticky. But upon installing the plugin to enable .header-top as the sticky top element, you will realize this problem. It makes the website messy for users.
You can experience it by going to the homepage, scrolling to the middle of the page, and then resizing your Google Chrome or equivalent browser from big (desktop) to small (mobile view). You will notice the format changes but the width of the elment does not.
How can this problem/bug be fixed?

Since the last version of PHP I had to remove an old plugin which was crashing (Jquery Menu accordion), and since then it seems that my navbar menu is not working anymore (we can select a choice, but the link is not redirecting to the page..).

I should have change my template but this one is unfortunately the one I need for my website.

Can anyone have an idea on how to solve this ?
