I have created a website recently using Lingonberry. I want to place ads under heading of all posts, between heading and content. However, when they are shown on homepage page(index.php), it seems to annoying readers(too many ads will be displayed). So is there any solution to remove adsense on my homepage?
Remark that my website is underway to be approved from adsense but the code is already there.

My blog is about my recovering from sex addiction. Since the beginning I use the great themes from Anders Noren (first McLuhan, now Lingonberry). In the German translation of the theme, “Read more” is translated as “Lesen Sie weiter”. I don’t like this translation, because for me it sounds like a command. I would prefer “Weiterlesen”. Is it possible to change the translation in an easy way (without using a child theme)? Right now I use a plugin for this purpose (Advanced Excerpt Options), but I try to use as few plugins as possible.

I am looking for advice please.
I am trying to add a logo to my site and it loads in the customiser however when I preview it the logo does not appear.
I have loaded other images within the site no problem, it just will not display the logo?

Edit: Never mind, I forgot the blackquote thing!

Sometimes, on both desktop and mobile, I try tapping the menu icon; the menu opens up–but it won’t close back up again. The button to tap it closed disappears. I’ve noticed that when this happens, images on the page also don’t show.

I’m thinking about using this theme for a new personal project I’m working on, but I can’t work out how to change the full text on the blog roll to the excerpt.

This post says I’d need to change the PHP, which it fine. However, there is no reference to the “the_content()” function within the index.php file.

What would I need to change in order to display excerpts instead of full posts? I don’t want to add “Read More” tags, as my excerpts are different from the start of the article.

When WP was upgraded to 4.6 Lingonberry broke my site, every page had these errors at the top (edited to remove username and site):

Warning: array_merge(): Argument #1 is not an array in /home/**user**/**example.org**/wp-includes/theme.php on line 1557

Warning: array_unique() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home//[username/example.org**user**/**example.org**/wp-includes/theme.php on line 1557

and I couldn’t even login.

Changing the theme from mysql shell to ‘twentysixteen’ let me get back in to the site (howto). Now I’m trying to figure out how to fix Lingonberry. Any ideas?

If the post’s featured image is less than the post width I’d like it to centre rather than be left justified. Is anybody aware of the best way of doing this?

I know this rather goes against the whole minimalism of the theme but I’d like to add an advert at the top of the home page, beneath the banner. Well, I’ve done this except it’s centred to the page, meaning that the banner overlaps the vertical line and is at odds with the posts listed underneath.

Can anybody suggest a way to add a banner so that it aligns, maybe the left-hand starting to the right of the vertical line, as per the posts?

I selected the gallery post format and the images are properly added to the slideshow but I cant find any options to be able to edit the gallery. If I ever wanted to delete a picture or re-organize the order of the slideshow, how will I be able to accomplish that??

When searching for a term that fits an image post the search results show the actual image post and a badly formatted link to the image that is on the post. E.g. https://rogerswannell.com/blog/?s=bugs

How do I prevent the image from showing in search results so that only the post shows?

I have created a child theme but the read more tag doesn’t show on the home page. WHen I revert to the parent theme, it’s visible….

It seems the icon for the image post type is missing. I went to the theme preview on Anders Noren’s website to see if I could download it from there, but it seems to be missing from there as well.

Hi,

after updating the “Lingonberry” theme to 1.34, I noticed that it broke “Crazy Lazy” – a lazy loader for images. I also tried 1.33 with the same result.

The Dev Tools of Google Chrome gave me a hint:
“Uncaught TypeError: $(…).mediaelementplayer is not a function
(global.js, Line 31)”

After commenting this part out, everything worked again. ??

Hi, on the front page of my blog widerstand.denkakt.com using lingonberry, the round image in the header is not displayed correctly. It is shown around twice the size it should be, with an offset to the right and bottom. On mouseover, the correct “home” image is shown in proper size and location.

However, this is inly on the front page. On all the other page, it works fine. I found a difference in the CSS, for the front page the image has the attribute

max-width: none !important; [in Inline:165]

so the

max-width: 100%; [in style.css:119]

is overridden. This seems to stem from another plugin, https://tech-banker.com/products/wp-google-maps-bank, a paid Google Maps plugin (at the moment only on the front page, but I would like to use it on other pages, too).

Da you have any idea for a quick fix in your CSS so your theme and the plugin (which, admittedly, does seem to be coded a bit reckless) won’t interfere?

Thanks for your great theme, it let my blog looks very beautiful.

These days, I try adding ‘Woocommerce’ the plugin to my blog and let it shows some dummy-data. After I add ‘Woocommerce’ successfully into my site, but those dummy-data(products) could not show at the right positoin as those articles at my homepage.

How can I change the color of the vertical line which connects all the posts and the header?

New to WP and learning about CSS as I go, as a result I’m stuck. I have text in a post that is linked to an image in another site. Would anyone know how I can change the color of the links only? I’ve tried searching through the style sheet but not sure which is the correct color to change.

On style.css I have defined my header color and my links colors as follow:

But still the links are white (as the accent color)

My question is about the toggle navegation. Is it posssible to open it just once?. I don’t want to open and close the menu every time I go to a different secction.

Thank you for the theme. Very clean and easy to work with.

I was wondering if you had ever addressed the concept of changing the left side icon next to a post based on the category of the post. (class .format-bubble). We wanted to have specific icons next to the posts that synced up with the selected post category (design, technology, biz, etc.).

You have a block of code that make this feasible?

Another approach would be to change by author, which I can post a separate issue if needed.
