I’ve been using the lighthouse theme (rather a child theme) for over 2 years. and today after I updated 12 plugins the site got all messed up. It should look like this (namwt.org/) My webhost is restoring a backup from August 28 that I am hopefully will fix the issue. But I’m wondering what to do. If lighthouse is not being maintained any longer maybe i should find a theme that is.

I do have another question. when using a child theme, when the original theme is updated, that doesn’t update the child theme right? or does it?

I’m using WP Lighthouse theme and have noticed that for some reason that no header and footer plugins work properly in this theme. Is there a reason why?
Ive put google analytics in there and that seems to work but when I try to put google tag manager and facebook messager codes they dont show up in the page source code or show up on the website at all. Is this a problem with the plugin or the theme? I think its the theme as when I installed other themes they looked like they were working. If its a compatability issue is there a header and footer plugin that is compatible with this theme?

On my (android) phone, the menu does not display fully. The last two menu items don’t show up and the menu won’t scroll all the way.

Also, there is two much space between menu items. My guess is that is the cause of the problem.

My guess is also that the break point on the mobile menu need to be set differently, but the theme does not have any way to do that in the Customize menu, so I believe I need to add CSS to the Additional CSS option.

I have tried to find some code without any luck.

How do I edit the text in the menu in the Lighthouse theme? There is a sub-menu that is putting in a capital “o” in the word “of”, but that word isn’t capitalized in the page title, and I can’t find any way to make it lowercase.

To make the lay-out of my website somewhat nicer, I chose teh Lighthouse theme. I made a child-theme of it so I can I can make adjustments without losing them.
Everything looks okay, except the menu. I had a menu with 3 levels but I can see only 2 of them. I found out on the internet that the Lighthouse theme was built this way.
I saw that wp-bootstrap-navwalker has been used with this theme. In the file inc/extras.php I see the following:

Something to change in CSS?

If I just upload Webp to /theme/background (or whats the way) i get only gray block where the picture should be.

Webp is enabled by WP MIME plugin.

After the last update I noticed that the submenu does not expand anymore if you click on the parentlink, but you go directly to the parent link. Any ideas to solve this?

Trying to add an image with a caption and float it to the right of the text. The image displays fine in the editor, but when I update the page the float does not display correctly and the image breaks up the page text rather than the text wrapping around the image.

first of all, it is a great theme!
I have an issue with the GDPR Opt in Checkbox that has been added to “default” wordpress. For me it seems that the lighthouse theme is overriding the default WordPress comment form and thus it does not display the checkbox described here:

When checking my website on a mobile Phone, the header spreads out left and right beyond the page, and the site title gets cut off wrong. If it needs to be cut off, it should be psychologie-praktijk. Is there any way to fix this or to edit where the header and title are cut off?

Also, the black menu ‘beam’ covers half my header on a mobile Phone. Is there any way to fix that too?

Hi, how can I reduce the header height?

Dear all,

I’m setting up a new WordPress site using the Lighthouse theme – the site has not been published yet, so unfortunately I can’t provide a link. Since recently, the desktop version has been showing a responsive menu button in addition to the regular menu. When using a mobile device, two responsive menu buttons are shown.

I assume this happened during the last update. My first thought was that I had an error in my css (I’m using a child theme) but then I realised that it also happens with the original theme. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Hi, I would like to know how to make a child theme.

The usual way (the description here at www.remarpro.com) does not work. It shoes the pictures, and the positions (the sidebar) – so there is SOME css – but most of the layout does not work. Like the title, it is displayed UNDER the picture in small letters.

So please tell me how to make a child theme, thank you!

When we initially installed the them the “revisions” function for pages work. But it has not worked since July. We have made changes to many pages since then, but there is no record of this in revisions.

How do we fix this?

Hello, I recently started using your theme on my wife’s website, and while it is generally awesome, I have a few problems which I cannot solve:

1) I use polylang widget for multi-language options, my main language is Croatian, and with it everything works fine, however when I change to other language option in mobile view (which in my case is English), I can’t see all the pages I have added to the menu. Tried it on two different smartphones with two different versions of Android, same problem on both. On my laptop menu works fine.

2) Also on mobile view, subsections of the menu are not showing, and the arrow that signifies there are sub-items does nothing.

3) Also on mobile view, on my blog page no posts are shown, even though they are published and visible on laptop browser.

How do I disable the mobile version and only view the desktop version on a mobile device. I hate the layout of the mobile view for cell phones.

I created a Social Media Menu (Social Icons), displayed in the sidebar. And now it is empty? How can I solve this? If I change the theme the buttons are visible again.

Hello. I have three widgets at the top, under there i want a “long” widgets, which goes under the middle and left one. How can I manage to do that?

I have a menu for Books. The sub items under those are showing up, such as Cookbook and Romance, but the books I have under those sub items are not showing up on the menu. I’ve checked the menu several times to make sure they are all setup under the appropriate parent, but they still are not showing up.

How do I make a childtheme? I saw this in a other thread: “You need to go to Lighthouse’s Functions.php and change the path to the CSS, to your child theme (IE from wp-content/themes/lighthouse to wo-content/themes/lighthouse-childtheme)”

I can’t find this string in functions Php; wp-content/themes/lighthouse and should it be WO in wo-content/themes/lighthouse-childtheme)?

I’ve been trying to change the background colour of the navigation bar in the ‘customizing colour’ as well as the ‘additional CSS’ section, but so far without success. I have installed the Max Mega Menu plugin, which also has a custom CSS section, but the result is the same. I also have to add that I have very limited knowledge of CSS, so if anyone has any ideas, I’d be very grateful if you could share them!

I would like to have the background turn rgb(190, 182, 182) / #BEB6B6 instead of white when scrolling down.

Would it be possible to control the number of blocks on the landing page? I would like to make them slightly smaller and place 5 blocks instead of 3.
