Is this theme dead…no updates for 2 years?

Hello, I cant figure out how to set a different image for each page. It just doesnt show…

The owner of the site is blind, but updates content himself.
After logging in, he navigates to a page and presses E
This invokes the editor link on the WordPress admin bar.
The Admin bar is present on a top level page, but not on a child page.

Tried disabling plugins, without any difference.
No obvious difference between a main and child page.

I just installed Kuorinka theme on my site today, and the widgets are acting weird. I’m running a child theme (not sure if that is the problem).

When I add widgets they look and work as they are supposed to.

Then when I log out, some of them disappear. I can’t figure out the connection.

Two were for OIO ads – one remains (which you can see in the sidebar) – the other disappears. Others were for custom html for a Get Response webform, and a Google ad code… both disappear, but another html code for the ‘current planets’ remains.

Any ideas what might be causing this odd behavior?

As always I appreciate the wisdom and generosity of the wp community.

On every subpage I create there are some elements I don’t want them to be there.
As below:

Main page link
~`site name
Site Name again
horizontal blue line

I want them to be removed on every page I will create.

Can you help?

I’ll need some help cause I really don’t understand what’s going on :).
So the webiste ref: WordPress 4.6.1 / Kuorinka child theme.

The problem: I activated the side bar only in few pages. But when I wanted to customize it with some widget. It doesn’t appear!

Could you please let me know what to do..
NB: I have no technical knowledge ??

Hi, I don’t know why but the posts in the home page, i put the ‘read more’ part and it doesn’t appear. It cuts the post in the home page as if it’s finished but if you click the post you can see everything. Why can that be or in which php file could be the problem.

I also have the problem that if i put an image to the post, it doesn’t appear in the home page, only if i click the post as before.

I’m trying to create a child theme for Kuorinka but without even adding anything but comments in the child style.css the layout changes completely. Screenshot of how the layout breaks: Child theme problem. What is going wrong?

I followed the instructions on example child theme for Kuorinka. My style.css now simply looks like this:

Why to sticky/aside post adds a link with the symbol “∞”
How can I remove link or this symbol.

I want to use multi language plugin like MultilingualPress, Polylang in Kuorinka theme. However I got conflicts with header primary menu. In case MulitlinguaPress, in mobile view, menu can’t explore. The others, menu is hidden.

I’m using Kuorinka 1.4.1 with a child theme downloaded from the Kuorinka site.

I am able to change style for elements in the Child Theme Friendly Zone. But when I try to change the style of the header image (img.header-image), the parent style is used. I can see the child theme element is loaded but the parent element has precedence.

Can I change style of elements that are not in the Child Theme Friendly Zone?

Thank you for this classy looking and efficiently coded theme.

My question is about the “Front Page” widget (the “sidebar located in the Front Page template”, but nothing I add there shows up anywhere on the theme.

The other widgets locations “Primary” (main sidebar, displays on right side of the page), “Subsidiary” (displays in the footer), “Header” (top of the page) work fine and display as expected.

So where does this “Front Page” display and how is it different from the “Primary” widget location?

PS: note that in my installation the Front Page looks like the WordPress theme demo, not like your demo at https://foxland.fi/demo/kuorinka/ with the “call out”. Maybe that’s the issue, I need to set the front page up?

To get my own modifictaions, I’m using the child theme, it works and all, but I’m having some difficulties with the style css.

1 – I copied your “17.0 – Child theme friendly zone” section in the child theme css, and did some modifications but doesn’t work!

2- In the home page, I want to delete the bleu-sky background behind the title ‘Home’, keep just the title.

I have been trying all different kinds of slider plugins and nothing seems to work on Kuorinka theme. And the slider I wanna use on this theme is Soliloquy.

All I get is the images im trying to use in the slider showing up in a row as seperate images.

First of all thanks for great theme.It looks good and have valid Schema markup.Also loads fast.

I am using it on my website.It is working fine with WooCommerce (I have added woocommerce.php file) with below contents.

It is working fine for product pages.But on product category pages and shop pages the sidebar gets displayed.So layout breaks.The sidebar is displaying as I am unable to choose layout for it.Also if layout is not layout 1c then theme loads primary sidebar.

Hi, Again thanks for your help earlier.
Something strange has occurred with the menu which I managed to change the colour from the lovely blue colour to yellow. When I added the Header Image (which size was displayed blatantly on the page but I missed completely) it turned blue again.

After searching through the css pages for anything with a colour code next to a # I managed to check and change everything again and it remained blue. When I removed the header image it returned to yellow. So I’ve run through the configs and even booted up another computer and iPad and they all appear the same, so I’m afraid there may be a small bug in the code. I usually find that this happens when a additional piece of dynamic code is activated and cuts through a longer section of code, although the code for the blue #054e92 is no longer available in the code, hence the thinking it was my computer.

I want to try it out in a test site of mine and wonder how to use it for a child theme.
I read your comment at An Alternative to @import in WordPress Child Themes but must admit I got a bit confused. What do you mean by: “SUFFIX mean .min files” ?
If it was for the Kuorinka theme what would the following actual code of the child’s (lets call the child Chirlinka) be?
