Unless I am missing something, the code is all there and correct to show comments after posts but they aren’t showing up.

The number of comments show… the comment box shows… and it looks like it wants to load comments but it just isn’t.

I am aware that the theme is no longer being supported or updated by it’s creator but I’m confident there’s a fix for this.

Justwrite and WordPress 5.5 recent update: The theme seems broken with several js and other errors.

I hope they will be fixed at some point, since this is a great theme.

When I view my site on a phone (but not in a browser on my desktop) I see an orange RSS feed icon in the main navigation menu. If I tap it, I’m taken to my Apple News app and then get an error message.

Do you know how to remove it from the menu and/or make it work correctly?

The built-in search function in the menu bar searches the blog posts and pages, but not the forum plugin I’m using. I’d like to either (a) remove it and put a more specific search function in the sidebar or (b) label it somehow to clarify things.

Any suggestions on how to do either?

I’m trying to find out where and how to remove an extra menu item. It’s 3 vertical dots at the far right of the menu that links to calendar from which you can choose blog posts to browse by date. It’s not helpful on this site (which uses wpForo).

Do you know how I can remove it?

For example, i’d prefer if i could remove the title and centre the stuff on the page so it aligns with the instagram feed but because of the title aligning left it looks weird.

I’ve been a long-time user of the Neville theme by Acosmin. After upgrading to the JustWrite theme I’ve noticed that I am not able to set a custom static homepage.

With the Neville theme, I created a new Page called Home, and I assigned it the Front Page template. With the new JustWrite theme, I am unable to set Home as the Front Page as there isn’t a template for it.

Am I missing something here or is this theme missing this functionality? And how can I overcome this issue?

After installation, I ran into a problem, there were a lot of errors in google search console:

Mobile Usability

Clickable elements too close together
Content wider than screen
Text too small to read

Could you help me deal with this problem?

(The template is adaptive, but Google persistently writes that we have errors on the site)

first of all thanks for this great theme.
I have an issue with the way titles are shown in the slider in mobile version (slider is in homepage).
They cover all the image, especially in portrait mode. Any chance I can reduce the font size/background transparency only for mobile devices? Any additional css I can add to sort this out?

The included slider at the top of the homepage all of a sudden has new behavior, it only loads at tablet width and smaller, it doesn’t load at all in the desktop view.

The issue doesn’t appear to be with my child theme. If I reload the original parent theme, the problem persists. Not sure what triggered the issue. I did recently update this theme, but I’m pretty sure this issue happened before the upgrade, because I upgraded in hopes it would solve the problem.

If there is a CSS fix I can’t find it. Like I said, not sure what triggered it. I tried to unpublish posts that I made around the time I noticed the issue, but that doesn’t seem to help. Like I said I installed the parent original and the problem is there too.

It’s been working otherwise for 2 years.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I really need some urgent help with my site, it is my portfolio and I am currently applying for jobs but have some major problems with it. First of all, the site title and tagline has totally disappeared and nothing I have tried has brought it back. The title is visible when viewed on a mobile, but not the tagline, and nothing is visible on a desktop.

I also have a problem with the featured posts widget – it just won’t update. Right now it is showing posts that used to be but aren’t now marked as featured. They are really out of date and I need to fix this urgently but nothing seems to work.

I should note that I am on JustWrite Child theme, I have tried to switch back to the original JustWrite but it is not working.

Is there a problem with this theme in general? Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated, I really need to get this sorted out straight away.

My trouble is: My theme used to exist in a free & a pro version. The Pro version would, for example, allow you to tick a box to get posts excerpts pretty much anywhere.

Bad news, the theme is not available for sale anymore so i only have the free version i tried to contact the creator thru Facebook but they did not respond.

So basically, the function to get the posts excerpts doesn’t exist in my WordPress theme files and i’m looking for some help to try & get that fixed so i can get some exerpt on my homepage under my posts title.

I’ve got wordpress 5.0.3, the theme is JUSTWRITE ( https://www.acosmin.com/theme/justwrite/ ), pretty basic setup, LWS hosting services ….

.sa-column:first-child, .sa-column:nth-of-type(6n+1) { border-left: none; };

That error (the extra “;”) creates a second error at the end of the css (unexpected token).

This theme is AMAZING. The best one out there. I’m just having a few issues regarding widgets…

All the pictures of the Masonry one widget are different sizes. How can I make them uniform? I already set the thumbnail dimensions to 900 x 520 px and I regenerated thumbnails with the plug in. The images are still all different sizes.

Also when I initially used the Categories 4 Columns Widget there were little image thumbnails next to the 3 headlines in each column but after a while they disappeared and now look similar to this Is there any way I can get them back?

I’ve followed the directions in several threads in the forums on removing these dots but none of them have worked for me. Can someone help? Here’s the page I’m trying to remove them from:

I am facing an issue with my site. When i open posts, there is a sort of horizontal scrolling. I can literally zoom out the whole page, and page size reduces to half of the screen size. I have attached the link of the page.

Hello.

The Comments display seems not to follow the Newest dates. Some comments are injected with older date and then it continues.

Also it seems that the listing doesn’t start from really the newests (as i have set in WP).

Any ideas ?

I really like this theme, but mostly in its “responsive” form, when the content is centered and there isn’t any sidebar.

I know responsive CSS can’t be modified easily, so I’m only asking : how to get rid of this sidebar, since I don’t use it ?

I’ve edited my child theme, but can’t seem to show the Date Last Modified of the post. What I want to happen is that below the post’s title (where the Date, Author’s Name, and Category are located), I wanted to add “Date the post was last modified”.

I’ve edited post-templates/content.php by editing the line:

<time class=”detail left index-post-date” datetime=”<?php echo get_the_date( ‘Y-m-d’ ); ?>”><?php echo get_the_date( ‘M d, Y’ ); ?></time>

but I can’t seem to make it work. Please help how to show the “Date Last Modified” for single posts.

Thanks for this amazing theme!
I noticed that when I use the Billboard post template, it creates a horizontal scroll bar in IE. Looks fine in Chrome and FF, just IE creates the horizontal scroll bar.

Is there a way to correct that and eliminate the scroll bar in IE?
