Where can I get ‘Hero Pro’ theme? And how is different from fre version? Can someone upload a pro version in a demo online, so I can see how is different from free version?

I have been attempting to change the speed on the nivo slider. I have looked at various solutions on this site and others, but the slider just refuses to go slower. I am using the wordpress theme ‘Hero’ via the godaddy.com wordpress hoster. I am able to insert code both in the ‘editor’ section as well as the ‘style settings’ tab in the ‘theme options setting. I have tried changing this:

…etc with no success, as well as this code:

…etc in the roughly 3 places it appears to be found and still have no luck. I have also attempted to change both at the same time and nothing appears to be working.

I have a client who is insisting the menu bar be centered. All efforts in the editable css style sheet have failed so far.

This client also wants pipes between the menu items. I tried adding the basic CSS code to .menuitems to do this, and the pipes never showed up. If I try using the border method, the lines are gaudy in their height!

The client also wants me removing the “read more” items and replacing them with simple links.

Are these changes beyond the scope of this theme, or is there a reasonable way to do these?

I’ve already told them about wordpress post/content opacity issues affecting images shared in posts and pages, but they’re still after me about that too.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello I Posted this in a different section to see if any help will happen. I have figured out how to change the boxes on the front page to show 6 boxes instead of 3. I need to have 3 columns and 2 rows and if I change the code in front-page.php from 3 to 6 it just lines up 2 columns??? What am I missing? Any help will be better that fishing in the dark with no pole.

here is the code I changed

Hi! I’m actively using the hero theme for my website but have had complaints from clients that it’s hard to use on a mobile device. Is there a mobile optimization that I’m missing? How do I integrate that for my clients that use mobile devices?

I have purchased the hero pro theme to use as a ecommerce site and would like to use the woocommerce plugin due to its further integration with xero accounting software. I have read however that the hero theme does not support woocoomerce and was wondering if there is a way around this. I have read I can modify part of the code so it doesn’t muck with my theme pages but would like to know if there are any other options first.

Hi – I’m trying to reduce the size of the pictures/area the slider provides in the main page. The current size is 953×350, no matter if I resize the picture itself, the size remains constant. Can you provide some guidance where I would make this adjustment in the style.css or other area to reduce the size?

I cannot find where I can remove the Box next to the slider. It is not in the Theme options tab. The box has this text:Professional Business WordPress theme

Basically I don’t want it to function as a slider, but just display this one image, so I don’t need the PREV & NEXT navigation on the slider.

How could I turn this off?

I was wondering why my website was slow to load when clicking off google… it took 8 seconds!

I contacted by service provider and they said everything was ok there end and it looks like the images are making it slow. Show I checked this out and it seems to be the sheer size of the images on the theme options slider……..

Any ideas of how to change this to make the site faster? Ive deleted unused plugins and images and now have an average of 4 second load, but it just seems to be the banner images on the home page being slow loading.

I am currently using the Hero free theme and would like to change the slider speed. It is to fast. I saw another post that showed how to change it but the file it says to go into isn’t there. I’m guessing it’s been updated and the files have changed.

I’m not a web designer so don’t know code… I only have 2 projects to feature in the Hero Recent Projects section of the Home page and I want to edit the distance between 2 boxes as it looks lopsided. I have been using the editor, but I don’t know where to go to resolve this issue and how to write the code. I’m very appreciative for helping a novice.

Can anybody help me on displaying horizontally more than the already 3 homepage boxes? I can handle to add 3 more changing the code from front-page.php and options.php pages but it keeps showing them in rows of three having each row 2 boxes. I don’t want that. Also, I would like to remove the “>>” that is after the menu items in the top navigation bar. Where do I go to do this please?

Im trying to get my website on google listing as at the moment its appearing no where.

Hi I’ve just had the Hero theme installed and am working my way through it. I am however stumped on the feature slider. I’ve followed the instructions that come with it, but can not find where to set the keyword for the featured header. It tells you use the featured content option under appearance and select the tag there. But there is no option. I’m new to this so there is every chance I’m missing something simple. Ive managed to change all of the other button colours to the colour I would like but cant for the life of me find where to change the colours for the previous and next buttons on the nivo slider. I really need to get rid of the red.
