Would it be possible to amend the theme to load Google fonts over HTTPS?

I’ve used the theme for a site which uses a certificate, hence the issue. I installed a plugin to fix the issue as I get the theme via wp-packagist and overriding it with a child theme felt excessive.

When editing the Menu, and adding a Category option, this then displays in the page as” ‘Meetings’ Category about the relevant posts.

Any way this ‘Meetings’ Category title can be removed?

I have a relatively new installation of WordPress 4.6.1 with only a few themes and plugin added. When I attempt to us the customization feature to create a new menu, I am able to complete the steps and see the desired changes in Live Preview. However, when I “save and publish”, the changes are not pushed to the site and the site remains unchanged. Further, when I return to the menu area in customization, the changes I just made are lost. The same behavior is exists for the themes I added as well as the pre-loaded themes.

I am trying to install Google Analytics on my WordPress. I’m using the Grisaille theme, but I don’t have the option to add code via the Editor and I don’t even have the option to install plugins. Has anyone else had this problem or found a way around these methods to install Google Analytics?

Hi there,

I have grisaille installed at 100.476.myftpupload.com, and my blog posts will only display as summaries. If you click “Read More” on the home page, it takes you to the proper post url, but it still is only a summary with a “read more” button. That button takes you to the same page as well.

I temporarily disabled the theme, and that took care of it, but I like this theme, and want to continue to use it, as I move my mother over from Blogger to WordPress for her new blog.

I’d really like to move the search bar from the sidebar to the space above the header image. I’d like it to the left–across from the social media buttons.

Can anyone help me to do this? I’ve tried messing with the CSS, but I killed my whole layout and had to restore it. I know this is a dumb question, but how do I do this? I am sure it involves manipulating the header.php file, but I’m not sure where to place the code without screwing everything up.

Today I made a post on my blog, and the title shows up on the main page, but when you click on the post itself the title disappears. Please advise?

3 questions about the theme (which has been a hit with my client)

1. I would like to know how to update the color on the tags/categories from the yellow to something more legible. The color is not user friendly for older users.

2. Is it possible to remove the bookmarks link on the right side bar?

3. Is it possible to remove the background rounded corner boxes the posts are currently in on the left hand side? So basically the post will be floating on the background?

I am using Grisaille. The desktop looks fine, page background is transparent but when I see it on my phone, it has a white, semi-transparent background. Page text is white so this is an issue for me. The odd thing is, if you rotate the phone for wide view, it is transparent and stays when you rotate back. Is this something I can code to fix or does this sound like a browser issue?

Yesterday I updated my WordPress to version 3.8, and also updated my Grisaille theme.

Now I find that all the excerpts from Home Page have gone missing. Also,when I click on headlines it takes me to the post but the entire text of the post is missing except for the Featured Image. It’s as if none of the internal links to posts are working.

Please help.

How can I do so that the featured images in each article are shown with the original width (as in the last article) and not as a thumbnail?

I am having issues. I suddenly reached this error, which tracked back to my functions.php file.

Well after looking at the code.. I dont have a line 172, so i followed someones advice and rebooted with the original functions file. No avail same error, it was all working fine before.

I got pissed and said screw it and deleted the whole theme from my root, hoping it would revert back. And cleared the cache and rebooted my browser..

Same thing, not sure how its calling that functions file if it doesnt exist now..

So now below code is irrelevent, I deleted the whole griassle theme folder through php. Now why am i still getting the error?

How do i recover this?

Just moved to the Grisaille theme and I am really happy about it. It looks just the way I need my theme to look – except for one thing: I would like to have the social media icons in front of – instead of above – the header image. I imagine I will have to alter the margin or padding of the header to a negative number, but I can’t find the piece of code that does that for me.

Anybody out there who can help?

Since many months Ill be trying to deal with this issue but I don’t find any solution on internet at all anyways.

In this image you can see clearly that the header appears as first thumbnail option, which I don’t really like.

How do I change the search results page?

When I have a header image enabled, it appears above the header text, rather than behind it.
This behaviour started (I think) when I upgraded WP to 3.5.1.

Thanks for this great theme very easy to use and so beautiful.
I want to make child theme and make view changes in the style. I don’t want to change in the main stylesheet that’s wont be good. When I made the child theme I got this message:
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
There is something funny happening to be honest. When I tried it on my localhost the child theme worked fine, but when I uploaded it to my server didn’t work.
Could you please help me with your advice what shall I do?

Today I added a static page where my posts page is the same as my home page. There is nothing being used as a front page, because I just wanted the posts to be found in my “home” page and that’s all I needed.
Anyway, now when I post in the posts section, the image does not appear. I’m not sure if it was doing that or not before i changed the static page. I insert from my media library and when I go to “view page” it has the picture, but when I actually go the website, the image is not there.
I took some other support forum advice and deactivated my plugins to see if it would make a difference and it did not seem to change anything.
Any suggestions would be great!

i’d like to use two background images. one repeating and one non-repeating at the top of the page (like a header but i need picture much more bigger than the original one).
i’ve tried (intuitively) to add div with background to index.php as well as “background” to inside body in css but it does not help.

Hi, the rest of the theme seems to fit quite nicely on a mobile browser but the header does not scale to fit the screen, anyone know how I can fix this?

Am pretty new to wordpress and constructing my first site. I chose this Grisaille theme because I believe it to look professional and easy to use… apart from one issue.

On my site the dropdown menus are a fixed width and the text doesn’t fit, meaning that they become two lines deep. I want to adjust the drop menus so everything is kept to one line.

An example would be the members section https://riversidebrass.co.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/members/ where the names are too long.

I am happy with everything else and would be such a shame to have to move to another template – can anyone help?

Has anyone had any joy in converting this theme to a single column theme?

I hold my hands up and say that i am a complete newbie…..i’ve been reading around and trying to follow some ‘des-tructions’ that others have found useful but with no joy.

Im sure it’s simple for you guys that know how?

I discovered this theme a couple of weeks ago and fell in love.

I do have one challenge though that I haven’t been able to resolve. The calendar plug-in that I have no longer shows the date of my posts. The information is still there but you have to hover over EVERY date before the right one changes color and the title of the post for that day shows.

Is there anything I can do or that can be done to solve this?

I hope you can help me setting up custom menus on the Grisaille theme.

The theme showcase shows that custom menus are possible with Grisaille, but when I click to the Appearance menu (both on the web version and Apple app) I do not have a menu option. In fact I don’t have a menu at all, just a ‘manage themes’ page which gives me these options: customisable / custom design / theme options / widgets

In none of these options can I find anything anything about setting up menus, but the theme showcase shows a site using Grisaille and with menus.

Can anyone help? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I expect theres an easy answer. Having googled around the question I’ve checked my admin settings and there’s only one user on my site, who is the admin, so don’t think it’s a case of missing permissions. I don’t think I’m using any plug ins, and I’ve checked repeatedly on every option, gone through every item on the site dashboard and tried all of this both on the web version and apple app and can’t work it out.

Any answers would be appreciated!

I have noticed that in the .com version of this theme the text wraps around the featured image, where as on the .org version it places the text underneath the featured image. Can anyone help me with what bit of code I might be looking for, to change?

I’m having a problem in that I want the header to behave like it does on a wordpress.com site rather than the www.remarpro.com. Can anyone help me with this?
