Hello all. I’m asking for help. Upgraded WP to the latest version, the template stopped loading the site’s home page altogether. Updating the template and disabling all plugins didn’t help. So what is preventing it from loading? How to solve the problem? Thank you.
Theme: Griffin
How do I add 3 photo columns like the example? Actually, I would like to add 4 columns with photos and click on them to link to another page. How an I do this? Thank you.
I am using Griffin theme. There are boxes on the home page for a few recent posts. Inside those boxes, I cannot make links work, though they do on the post page inside. I would also like paragraph breaks.
Can someone tell me how to do this?

Hi!
First time poster. Thanks for your consideration.
I’m using the Griffin theme to learn how to use WordPress. Really like the theme and looks really good already but I’ve got two challenges:
– I can’t delete the bubble with a zero in it. I’m not sure if its there to represent numbers of comments (I’ve switched them off as I just want to build a site that people can use for information before I start a dialogue).
– Secondly, I can’t delete the outline which seems to surround the main box. I’ve added a couple of rows using SiteOrigin PageBuilder and have wide stretched them to fit the page. One of the rows has a gallery in it which is three images wide…..two images are on the left side of the outline, and one is on the right side.
I’m guessing it might be possible to remove a line of code…..but that is way above my current knowledge.
Thanks for reading, and for any advice you may be able to offer.
Have a good one.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi all!
I need your help because i can’t find where is the problem!!.
I have created a new page template for a secondary page. In this secondary page i want (now) to show a grid of teasers with all my publications. Then i copy and paste EXACTLY the same code than index.php. But in this secondary page all the teasers are presented in just ONE COLUMN. I can’t understand all is exactly the same. And when i try to use the browser tools they show a strange margin in all the teasers for this secondary page.
Please, anyone could say me why in secondary pages objects are presentend diferently than in index.php??
this is the web: https://proyectofireflies.com
the index.php is the main page.
the secondary page with the problem is “LUCIERNAGAS” (the first one in the menu)
Thanks!
Hi,
I want to embed a twitter timeline onto the homepage only, but I have no idea how to do it. I can only see a way to add it to all of my posts and pages.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
On my cell phone I’ve noticed the responsive layout on some of my posts shows up smaller, half the width of my screen, while other posts show up correctly. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a fix? Everything shows up correctly on my desktop. It’s just a mobile problem. My web site is hungrywatching.com.
Thank you!
I am still struggling with removing website title and textbox via custom css.
But in a way that it remains in the adres bar. Could you help?
The submenus in the mobile view is not working – meaning if you go into the menu on a shrinked screen on computer, they show up, but not long enough to click on any of the items. Whilst on a mobile they don’t show up at all.
This bug makes this theme unfriendly to mobile users, so I assume it would be a priority to fix, if responsivity is a priority that is.

header {position:relative; width:100%; text-align:center; display:block; margin-bottom:90px; padding:8% 0 6% 0; background-size:cover; background-position:center;}
to
header {position:relative; width:100%; text-align:center; display:block; margin-bottom:90px; padding:2% 0 2% 0; background-size:; background-position:center;}
When i do this in f12 of page I get the desired result , but when I apply this in editor it doesnt change a thing
Hi!
I love your theme, and it works great for me!
I just want to change one thing, namely making it possible for the teaser images to link to the post itself. I’m terrible at PHP and couldn’t figure this one out!
Thanks alot <3

I wanted to localize this theme, but it faced that it isn’t ready for it.
Do developers plan to make the theme translation ready?
Hello,
How do I make my blog posts central? Not the text position but the whole box?
Also the featured image?
Thanks

I see that by width it falls out of the post content box.
Can this be fixed?
Very nice theme. But the search function does not work correctly. If you try to search for a word that does not exist, the search never ends.

PS I also found sites with this theme where searching is working fine.
Hi – I really like this theme. I keep looking at others but always come back to this one.
However, there are two things that constantly keep me looking at other themes – Griffin’s menus and sidebar.
Would it be possible, when you next update this theme, to make it so that Menu’s can have multiple tiers, instead of just the single dropdown? Also, it would be great if you could give us the option to make a page without a sidebar.
Thanks.
In 1.0.9
@media (max-width:768px) {...
#primary-menu {display:none; bottom:inherit; top:0;}
So, with a narrow screen primary menu just dissapears; it’s not desired behaviour. What should I do to keep it?
Hi,
Using Griffin Theme, when I set featured image in a post they display on the front page all different sizes, and usually obnoxiously huge.
Is there a way to make them uniform sizes on the front page in each article excerpt?
Finally installed the latest WordPress update. Now the latest posts on my homepage wont load! Same goes for menu items that linked to post categories. Posts can still be viewed if you click on their links in the Recent Posts widget.
Any ideas?
The old background color was #000, it would be nice to have support for changing this in the theme now, as opposed to modifying the stylesheet to add it back, especially when a header image is not used.
Instead of adding the following to
tag:
style="background-image: url(<?php header_image(); ?>)"
It would be nice to detect if there is an image first, so that the code isn’t displaying an empty url tag, background-image: url(”)
My 404 page is broken right now, I am not sure if I did something, or if an upgrade to 4.1, or if Griffen is messed up? Could someone help out?

Hello!
I want to integrate WooCommerce to the Griffin theme, so style products pages was look like on the other simple pages.
I duplicate page.php file, and name it woocommerce.php. This file should be found wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME/woocommerce.php.
Then replace the loop.
Before:
[ Moderator note: Code fixed, please wrap code in backticks or use the code button. ]
<?php get_header(); ?>

<?php
while (have_posts()) : the_post();
get_template_part('content', 'page');
comments_template();
endwhile;
?>

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>

<?php get_footer(); ?>
After:
<?php get_header(); ?>

<?php
woocommerce_content();
?>

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>

<?php get_footer(); ?>
But this method doesn’t work.
What can do ?
Thanks
Is there any way of having the theme show 4 columns on the home page? I put quite a lot of news on there so some of it is getting lost as it has to be scrolled down to. If the boxes were smaller and across 4 columns I would get more on the visible screen.
