Hi I wonder why in the lateral column some widgets has an highligthed label as that of the LOGIN widget while others have not one as the “last post” or the “search” widgets that have only bold titles. In this other site I administer: https://www.drpuccetti.com the “last post” widget has an highligthed label at the top of the widget.

When my homepage is added to the Home Screen on an iPhone, the site opens outside the Safari browser and looks like an app. The problem is that the bottom bar – with back/forward etc – no longer shows (but I want it to show). And when you go to some pages on my site, safari then opens up anyway, which looks messy. Is there a way of disabling this so my site just opens up in safari when added to the Home Screen (ie not like an app)? I am using the GovPress theme. Many thanks.

i cant figure out how to activate the icon menu

The sub-menus on my theme are not working correctly on the desktop version of the GovPress theme. It works correctly on the mobile version.

To see what is happening, please visit https://www.narberthpa.gov and click on “Contact Us/Borough Staff” to see the problem with the sub-menu. I have created a page named “Test Page”, and have it’s parent page defined as “Borough Staff”. I have it located as a sub-menu to “Borough Staff” in the menu configuration, but cannot figure out why it is hovering.

i tryed using:

but it also hides the content on the post itself.

If you look at any site running Govpress in IE under Compatibility View, it breaks. Homepage title is visible, menus disappear, and widget areas break.

This is even true of https://govpress.co

Since this theme is designed for government use, I would suggest this issue be addressed – typically compatibility with a broad amount of older browsers is vital.

On our website at https://www.cityofferndale.org/ I used the Insert Headers & Footers plugin to create a javascript pulldown menu. The code from that plugin is used by reference using a PHP widget I had sitting in the sidebar.

I call it the Quick Find menu.

This weekend I decided to move this widget from the sidebar to the Home Page Featured section to sort of scrunch up the website a bit.

It looks great there, but unlike everything else on the site, when you resize the browser window or view it from a mobile device, you can’t see the full menu or hit the button to take you to the item you’ve selected.

What do I need to add and where do I need to add it to make sure this menu functions the same way everything else on the site does? Because this is within a widget I’m surprised it’s not resizing on its own.

Actually, the theme switch to mobile menu at 1100px width, i’d like to change this to 950px.

I’ve tried to made the changes in style.css and style-rtl.css (even in css/style.scss) but it still doesn’t works.

Does anyone gets an idea ?

Hello. How can I add in this area other links? For example the forum.

The icons in the icon menu (fa-icons) are not linked with the related pages anymore in Safari 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) (OS) nor in Chrome on Android.

The icons are not active. The navigation labels however are. In some cases, the icons become ative after hovering over the labels.

The phenomenon can easily be reproduced by opening the website govpress.co in one of the above mentioned browsers.

How can I NOT display the page title on the homepage of my site? Right now it appears below the “Home Page Hero” section. For example, I wouldn’t want “Homepage” to appear in the middle of the page.

I have installed the GovPress theme in my WordPress 4.0.1 instance, but the “secondary” DIV that show the sidebar menu is aligned in right side.

Please, can you explain me the best pratice to move this #secondary.widget-area from right to left in order to maintain the correct proportion of the content-area that will be automatically align to right.

Something funky is going on with Winooski’s site, and I can’t seem to troubleshoot it. This first started when I realized that the header and background pictures were associated with my old staging website that I was using to set up their new site. I went in and fixed the background and header and now the homepage is not loading correctly. It seems to be fine on other pages though.

I’ve been trying to figure this out. All of the sidebar widgets are on the right – which is fine, but when you click on a parent page the menu jumps to the right side. I’ve looked through the php code and can’t figure out why it’s happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just downloaded this theme and it’s exactly what I need. Unfortunately the icons are showing up as empty boxes on Firefox. When I look at the site in theme options they are there, but not on the actual site. They do show up on Safari though.

How to integrate Govpress with Infinite Scroll

The main navbar on my website has drop-down items on several of the main navigation headings, thus creating a very large dropdown when opened on mobile.

Is there a way to create a second navigation bar that would work on phones/tablets that would replace the mess that is there now?

I noticed that on very high resolution screen (specifically 1920×1080 or more) there is a lot of wasted screen space on either side of the page. It can also make the site look dated (instead of modern) on such screens. I would like to make a feature request to add one or both of the following features.

1. Scaling Media Query for screens wider than 1600×900 to switch to a wider layout with a suggested switch point at 1800px or 1900px (I don’t know if this is industry practice) – @media screen and (min-width: 1800px).

2. Support for fluid/scaling layout with Custom &/or 100% Width.
