Hello,
I have uploaded several images to be loaded at random as my header image. However, when I refresh or load different pages, randomization only occurs for two images, not all three. Is this a bug, or something I can correct with a setting?
Thanks very much,
Greg
I would like to add a video above the featured pages section in the home page.
How to do it?
I cannot log in to my admin dashboard. I get this error message:
Error: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.
Also at the top of the page for whoever logs in this banner message appears:
Please accept [renew_consent]%cookie_types[/renew_consent] cookies to watch this video.
I contacted our site host – DreamHost, and they said the problem maybe in cookies in the header.
Hello,
I created a site and the English version runs fine. Now I am using Polylang to make the translation into French but I encounter some difficulties with the static frontpage.
If I translate the Donation Tagline & Donation Description then it will replace the text in all language versions.
It does not appear in Polylang String translation page, How come ? Where is the right place to insert both languages ?
Looking forward to your help,
Thank you !

Hello,
I would like to post without the header image. I like it on the pages but not on the posts. How may I remove the header from the posts?
Thank you – Theresa
The three images at the bottom of the home page are pulled from three menu items from the About menu item. However, the images on those pages are full screen width and not very tall. Detail at the bottom of the images is cut off. Is there documentation regarding sizing these images?

Hello,
I am using GivingPress Lite (1.8.6), and I am trying to edit text on the homepage for clouddancers.org, but I can’t find where to do this. I want to change the text on the homepage for the donate section, learn more section, and mission section, but when I go to Appearance > Customize I can’t find the where the text is located to edit. When I go to Pages and edit the homepage is blank as well. These sections are not under the widgets under customize. The sections I am trying to update based on the html are under <div class = “content donation”>, <div class = “information” Any suggestions?
Hello,
I am building a website for a new non-profit. The site is not published yet.
I have followed the guidelines on the givingpress lite documentation page in regards to the home page section but they are not showing up.
———-
The Home Page template options can be found under the Theme Options -> Home Page Template panel in the customizer. Within the panel you will find options for changing the donation text, setting a link for the donation button, and selecting the featured pages you wish to display on the page.
————
I have changed the donation text and selected three featured pages. None of those sections are appearing in the customized preview.
I am very familiar with WP but I am not a developer and am uncomfortable going into the code to add or delete things.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello – I’ve edited the CSS color for the hyperlinks (throughout site) and the buttons (on homepage: donate, learn more) from the default green to #75C5CD. The color change is seen successfully in MS Edge, but in Chrome the new color selection is not visible. If I inspect the element in Chrome and change the color via the preview screen (not via wordpress), it does change, but does not change when it’s formally applied to the wordpress stylesheet. Is there something I’m missing? Thank you!
Hi,
I recently figured out how to change the default ‘Post last updated’ text to show when the post was originally created. Thought I’d share this with others.
Solution best done with a child theme. This *might* work for people working on other themes, note you would just replace givingpress-lite with your theme name
To change the date on the post itself, go to loop-post.php and find this code

<?php givingpress_lite_posted_on(); ?>

and replace it with

<?php esc_html_e( 'Posted on', 'givingpress-lite' ); ?> <?php the_time( esc_html__( 'F j, Y', 'givingpress-lite' ) ); ?>

Now this will only change it on the post itself, so you need to make similar changes in loop-archive.php, loop-blog.php and loop-category.php to modify the tag, and blog, and category pages.
Now the only issue with this is that it also removes the author name, which you might want to retain. Can anyone figure out how to do that? Edit: see final post for solution!

Hi,
I’ve a problem with the header in my Griving Press Theme. I would be very happy if somebody could help me.
Here ist my site: https://berliner-klimatag.de/aussteller/
If you take a closer look, you can see that the name of this page ?Aussteller“ is written in the header (it is just a slight shadow).
Is it possible to delete this shadow? Would be great if you could help me! Maybe how to change font style? Or another solution?
Best
Marc
Hi All,
I am currently developing a website for my Charity Of The Year 2019, they have opted to use Giving Press and as its a Charity and funds are tight we are currently working with the Lite version.
I am now at the stage where i need to input the website to Google for indexing although i seem to be hitting a few issues.
It states the theme is not mobile friendly and struggles to load the CSS attributes on craw. It also states the themes links are too close together, text is too small and content is to wide for mobile view.
Is there anyway of fixing these issues?
When you visit it on mobile the content is perfect menus and links are fine and the site is around 3px to wide although does not affect the look of site google are clearly not happy with this and will not index the site and publish in results.
Hi there,
I’m trying to resize the thumbnail image here: https://duongvanthuyen.com/?page_id=8424 but seems like the theme has some auto height css that makes the thumbnails square (I wanna resize it to 200px : 150px). Might I know how can I resize the thumbnail images using CSS please?
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
How can I edit the page title?
I have set up a child theme. Which php-file should I copy and edit, so the change will be visible on all pages?
And btw – the title is in an h1-tag. Is it possible to style each word of the title? I have for example a page called “Contact Us”. I wish to make only the first word bold, and both words bigger.
Sincerely,

Hi there. How can I remove the “last updated” text and clock icon on the blog post page? I would prefer to just have the date and author.
Re GP Lite: My question has to do with the text superimposed on the full-width banner image. Some pages correctly pick up the corresponding page title, while others just repeat the text from the Home page header “tag line”. I could find no way to control this. Does anyone know how to do so? Also, is there any way to alter the text size, color or font in this case, short of messing with the CSS code which I was warned to avoid?
The Guide for the Lite version explains how to eliminate duplicate sidebar info by editing each page and choosing the Full Width template option in the Page Attributes dialog. However, this was curiously unavailable for the Blog page. Any clues as to why? Any workarounds?
Documentation for setting up a “donate button” is sadly lacking on the GP Lite site. The one article I found there says “The donation section can be easily customized within the WordPress customizer by navigating to Appearance > Customize within the WordPress admin. Link the “Donate” button to another page or your external donation service, such as PayPal.”
By trial and error I discovered I’d been mislead. The full path is Appearance > Customize > Theme options > HomePage options. However there is no indication of how to complete the process — just a bunch of fields I don’t know what to do with. It says nothing at all about how to make the button appear on the Donate page I already created.
Since this feature is so basic to a non-profit startup desperate to raise funds, does anyone have more complete help info on this.
Here’s my problem. I love the way the menu looks on a computer. It’s exactly what we want. On a mobile screen however, our menu becomes a very long wall of text to scroll through when you open the hamburger.
What I’m trying to figure out is how to collapse the sub-menu items in our main navigation menu so that you only see our 6 top level items and the sub-items below them only show up if you select (tap) the relevant top item.
As an example of the problem: we have 44 member agencies that I want to have organized under geographic area sub headings. As the menu currently operates that creates a very long and hard to parse list of options to scroll through on a mobile screen.
Thanks for any help you could offer with this problem.

Hello everyone,
Can you please tell me how do I choose what text is shown below the three Featured Pages on the front page?
By default, it will insert the text that is written on the destination page… but from what I see on the demo page of this theme, they wrote some other text, not the one that is written on the destination page.

Hello!

I noticed when I upload my header image, part of that picture gets cropped off anyway; and when I resize my window or when I view the website from my phone, the image itself becomes responsive and I start to get the whole picture back. (I hope I am making sense so far.)

I wanted to see if I can upload an animated GIF file as the header image and it uploaded fine. However, when I have the window at full size, part of that file gets cropped off at the bottom and I did not crop it on my own. The same thing happened when I try to resize the window.

This is my thought process:

I tried to adjust the height of the header, but that did not work too well for me.

/*.custom-header {
width: 100%;
min-height: 550px;
}*/

The question becomes: is there a way to make sure I get the full image at the desired height without “cropped off” at the bottom and get it to stay the same size when I resize the window?

I am open to any suggestions. If I can get a quick response at your earliest convenience, that would be greatly appreciated!
Have a good day!
Christian Souvenir

Hi!
I’m testing your theme to see if it works for us. I’m using a child theme.
I need to change the “Learn more” button, so I followed the instructions you gave for another topic, but it is not working.
The code you sugested changing was this:<?php esc_html_e( 'Learn More', 'givingpress-lite' ); ?>
I tried changing the “Learn more” in home-page-small.php (content file), but nothing has happened. I also tried changing ‘givingpress-lite’ for ‘givingpress-lite-child’.
Do you know what can be happening?
I’d appreciate very much if you could help us with this.
Hello,
I would like to know how to make the footer use the full witdh of the page so that my widgets can be displayed across the entire width.
