Hi,

On my blog, using the Forever theme with Polylang, my main page is my post page and is called “home”. It is also automatically translated to “acceuil” or “inicio” for different languages.

I would like to change the above name to “blog” for all languages.

I am not using a custom menu. I saw in some posts that in some themes one would need to edit one of the php files. However, I dont manage to locate where the “home” and all of its translations are coded.

Can you please direct me to the right files to change?

I’m looking to put multiple posts onto a page. What I mean by that is when you visit my blog, on the home page you can scroll down and see all of my separate posts. So I want to do that but for only certain posts on a different tab on my blog. So for example under my ‘Tips & Tricks’ tab, when you click the tab it’ll redirect you to that page and you’ll be able to scroll down and see all of my posts on that topic. Can anyone help me out?

I’m having trouble posting to my blog. Its a baking blog so I need to write recipe posts but am having trouble with spacing. Whenever I go to write a line or a sentence and I press enter, it makes way more space between the lines then I want but don’t know how to fix it. I also don’t know how to change the side of my font. Are there special codes I need to insert? Thank you.

I know there are lots of posts about removing image borders.. Using a CSS plug-in and code from a previous thread, I have successfully managed to remove the borders from ALL images. After seeing it, I’ve realised that I actually prefer the borders but would like to remove borders from certain individual images. Eg. If I post a circular image or a signature.

Is there any way of removing the border from individual images? I saw one post which showed that if you click on the ‘edit’ button on the image you can select to remove the border. However, I don’t have this option come up on my edit button on images!

I’m building my first WordPress site using the Forever theme and have spent the last few days customizing and adding plugins to make it work for me. Suddenly I realized, though, that when I shrink the window the site is not responsive. It doesn’t adjust at all. This makes me wonder if the site is viewable on mobile devices? Can anyone offer advice on this? Do I have to pick a new theme and go back to the drawing board? Thanks.

This error doesn’t effect anything it just print warning messages in the admin.

Does anyone know a css code I can use to edit the font of my menu bar? I want to change the font to Raleway (used everywhere else) AND make it bolder EVERYWHERE on the site. Also, my home button looks different then the rest of my pages? Any ideas to fix this?

Does anyone know how to remove the lines around pictures/ images?

When I add media in posts, or add text widgets with pictures in the sidebar there is are black boxes or lines around the images?

I’m not too familiar on how you insert codes. I would greatly appreciate anyone’s help!

I use WPML to have my website in 2 languages. With the first (german) everything works as it should. Sticky posts are shown in the Slider and nowhere else. When I change to the second language(english) Sticky posts are shown in the slider AND in the list of recent posts under the 4 last ones. I know that this might be a WPML issue. But I would like to know which parts of the code have to be changed that the slider does not show sticky posts but the slides you can create with the slider plugin?

I’m not currently using the slider functionality that comes with the theme but do want to use the featured images for a different purpose. As of right now, any featured images are treated as though they will go into the slider and do not display full posts on the home page (as outlined by the theme description).

Is there a way that I can disable this connection so that I can assign a featured image to the posts AND have full posts on the home page? I don’t want the posts to be truncated and assigned to the slider.

I want to change the language of the Forever theme. It’s now on english and want to change it to dutch.
It’s only the theme, I changed the forever.pot file, no result.
I find translated files; wpcom-themes-forever-nl.po. and .mo uploaded them to following folders:
wp-content/languages/themes
wp-content/themes/forever
wp-content/themes/forever/language

Also no result. Any suggestions?

I’m trying to make a new wordpress page (my first) and figured out I need some help.

When I write a new blogpost I can set it so it’s shown in the slider, but I also want my posts to be shown on the first page (under the slider, next to the side menu).

When I try to customize and edit the pages I see the automatic Welcome to WordPress blog post (where I think my blogpost should appear). But when I close down the customize mode the blog posts “disappears” and I can’t find a setting to make my posts shown.

Any tips what I shall do?

How can I hide the tags under each post on my home page?

Hi Ive just switched to the Forever theme and in the original theme the header picture changes when you hover over it with the mouse, I can’t find the option to customise mine like this, it only gives me the option to have a different header on each page ? finding a theme with a moving header image is crucial, can you advise ?? Even if I have to pay a little for it , its the most important part.

I would like to change the name of the homepage from “Inicio” to “Home” in English.
