Hi!
I just started working with the Flounder theme and adjusting it to my own needs. The theme itself I find great, but there’s a thing I’d really like to change, namely the menu bar. I’d really like a regular horizontal menu bar at the top of the website. My question is, if there is any way to do this? I’m not that great at programming, so I’m having trouble figuring this out. Any help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Thom
I’m using this theme on my blog (https://ohthebooks.com) and for some reason, now the comment box only appears if you are registered and signed in to the blog. I’m assuming this happened thanks to a recent update of WordPress. Can this please be fixed???
]]>Hi, I have the same question as Quiltcharette in this post about how to show the tagline.

Add get_bloginfo ( ‘description’ ); to your theme to display the tagline you entered.
If this is the fix, again I have the same question as Quiltcharette: Where do we put this code?
Thanks much!
]]>I like it! But can anyone suggest a relatively easy way to try out different submenu behavior? Revealing the submenu on mouseover, etc.? I realize that this is different by design, but wondering if there’s any wiggle room with this. Thanks much!

]]>I would like to remove all widgets from the sidebar. The only thing I want to appear on the left side of the screen is the circle with the site title in it, and the names of all my pages. However, if I just remove all of the widgets, 3 boxes automatically appear at the bottom of the sidebar: Search, Archives, and Meta. I don’t want any of these there. The best solution I have come up with is to add a blank Text widget, but this leaves a random-looking box in the sidebar. Is there any way to remove all the widgets without the Search/Archives/Meta boxes appearing?
]]>Hi guys, as title says, is there any way to change the main/middle column width? It’s really narrow for my taste, and my articles looks so cluttered and confusing because of that.
]]>Hi!
I need to know how to remove the dates from all of my posts in the flounder theme.
Thanks,

Hi
Great design!
However I’ve found that if I open a site with your theme on a mobile phone (I tried samsung s3 and note1), then the menu doesn’t work correctly. Firstly it is shown ok, when you press on the menu icon, but if you scroll posts up (and they “move” the menu up ), they “in reality overlap” the menu. So that if you touch the screen with a post in the area where menu items were, you are pressing the menu item and get redirect according to the menu configuration.
Thank you and best regards
Sergey
This is a beautiful theme – thank you!
I was wondering how to disable or hide the panel to the right of pages and posts (which also contains the icons?)
]]>Hi, I was wondering whether there is are CSS commands to change the width of the menu bar on the left side and the size of the header image. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Philipp
]]>Hi,
I am using Flounder theme past two months in my https://comedysim.wordpress.com which is working fine. I have mainly attracted because of this infinite scroll.
Recently, I have moved my blog to self hosting and installed the Flounder theme 0.2.4 which doesn’t has infinite scroll option in admin panel.
Can you please guide me to have infinite scroll in my self hosted blog(https://ComedySIM.COM)?
Thanks,
C. Saravanan.
Hello, by default it was three column and the sidebar was in right.
But somehow now it has become two column and the sidebar moved to left. How can I revert it back to three column and right sidebar?
Thanks.

]]>Hi,
I have very basic knowledge of wordpress & I use to be able to find the editor button under appearance now i can not. I have tried all other avenues before posting.
Can someone please tell me how i can edit the code step by step where to find the code.
If it is not done in the wordpress dashboard where is everyone doing it?
Thanks so much.
]]>Hi- does anyone know if I can use CSS ( and if so what would it be?) to alter the width of the pages/posts?
]]>Hello,
I am really liking the theme, and would like to use it on a personal blog where we are two people sharing the posts – we’d like to post at the same time on the same blog, but then have the posts come up in two different colors. Rather than having the very cool option of colors for the different post types, we’d like to have all posts in the same two colors, depending on the author.
Is there a specific part of the code I should be looking up on, or is this a major rewrite?
I ask the question simply so as to not have to spend many hours investigating (I am very low level in my CSS and such) to see whether it is indeed easily possible.
Thanks for the awesome theme, and worry not if this is an intricate question that you do not feel up for responding to – I will have to do my best at reading up on the code instead ??
Cheers.

]]>Hi – Your theme has been much admired by all the visitors to our site https://www.beethovenplus.com
We have now uploaded our own header image. We have therefore set the option to show the header text to “no” so as to only display the image.
Unfortunately, however, this seems to stop the link to the home page working. Is this a bug or something I can correct from my end? Many thanks.
Hi,
I would like to change the shape of the circle in the top left of the FLounder homepage to a rectangle to fit my project logo and to stop it from fading the colours – is this possible? I have the appearance editing version but know very little about CSS!
Many thanks,
Kate
Hi,
When I use an image as a custom header, that image shows up faded/lightened. Can someone help me change it so that the fading effect is removed and the image retains its original colors? Thanks a bunch.
]]>Hello,

]]>Hi, I’m new to WordPress and I’m not exactly sure how to move the sidebar of this theme. The sidebar is on the right side by default, but I want to be able to move it to the left side like shown in the theme pictures. How do I go about doing that?
]]>Can you help me to change post’s icon fonts? I downloaded icon fonts by icomoon and I uploaded files in directory. But I didn’t understand where the icon fonts are called in the theme.

]]>Hi – I am very happy to donate (how?) if you could help me: I have had difficulties setting up a child theme (it works enough to how the main content page and the logo, but not the pages (menu) or sidebars (custom sidebars). All I really want to do is to set up a child theme and then make whatever amendment is needed in order to get all the posts to use the same colour scheme as the overall site and pages.
Are you able to help me with this and how can I then make a contribution in return?

Hi. This theme is fantastic.
Since I’m the only author on my blog, I’m wondering if there’s a way to “turn off” the author block. I’ve been away from using WordPress for a while and can’t seem to find a setting for it, so I’m thinking I have to dip into the code.
Thanks!
]]>I am needing help trying to make the latest posts home page show excerpts instead of the full posts. What ways can I do this?
]]>It would be nice if the theme had a way of setting an option or filter that defined the formatting of dates in the posts top bars (for links, etc) and the sides of posts. By default it’s month/day/year, but I prefer it in the UK format of day/month/year. Alternatively, some way of making it honour the format selected within the wordpress general settings by default would be cool.
