How do I change the description of the
tag and then style it? I tried using the wordpress codex as shown below, but the site stopped responding altogether and I had to go into my cpanel file manager and manually edited the code out so the site would display again. Did I put it in the wrong place in the functions file or is there something different about the fastfood theme that requires me to operate differently than normal?
<?php

add_filter( 'the_content_more_link', 'modify_read_more_link' );
function modify_read_more_link() {
return 'Get even more links. Click HERE';

I am planning to eventually swap themes on my primary website (https://www.cinemasight.com) from the heavily-modified version I have (based on a theme about three years out of date) to Fastfood and use the custom CSS code box to add code to swap some of the more dominant visual features and formatting into the new theme.
I’ve attempted this process on another website that I have that gets no traffic, so I’m not concerned if it looks like crap for awhile. It’s an experiment in trying to convert without messing up my existing site. That site is: https://www.behindthescreens.us.
As you can see, I’m not having a lot of luck in changing the formatting. There are several issues that I’m trying to resolve, but without knowing the css tags that are affecting the various issues, I cannot modify it to get it to display correctly.
The biggest issues, and the ones I’m most focused on resolving at present, are:
1) getting the left column (body) and right column (sidebar) to change sizes to better reflect what’s on my prior site. This will also require that I figure out a way to modify the entire width of the theme.
2) getting the background color to change (for the body of the site, not the individual posts, which need to remain the light gray color). When I experimented with this before, I found a very large grey block extending down from the header and overlaying the background that I couldn’t figure out how to remove.
3) The individual posts on the left are supposed to have a double-line border, which is in my css code, but which seems to be overlaid by something else that seems to be preventing it from displaying properly.
4) the head space between the title and the top of the individual posts is a bit too much, but I’m not sure if I just need to negative-margin the title or if there’s a much easier fix.
Hopefully these issues aren’t too hard to fix or update and maybe I’m missing something really obvious on some of them, but after you bang your head against something for awhile, leave and come back and still can’t figure it out, then it’s time to ask for help.
I tested the mobile view for some pages on my MAC. When I try to get back to the desktop view, I have been directed to the home page (with a desktop view), but the pages that I tested the mobile view with were stayed in mobile view.
I have worked out that this is caused by the cookies: all pages in the site display in desktop view after removing the related cookies.
Please advice how to fix this so that pages can be switched between the 2 views without manually removing cookies every time.
Hello,
I upgraded to WordPress 3.8.1 this morning, and I cannot get into /wp-admin and the wp-login.php. Have you heard of any similar issues with the update and with the fastfood theme?
We had noticed that the search box was not working before this update, which was 3.6.x, and had hoped that the update would fix this issue, but there still seems to be a sticky wicket.
This is the error I get on wp-login.php:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_password_reset_key() (previously declared in /Public/html/wp-login.php:281) in /afs/umich.edu/groupPublic/html/wp-includes/user.php on line 1637
This is the error I was getting with the search page:
Notice: register_sidebar_widget is deprecated since version 2.8! Use wp_register_sidebar_widget() instead.
Notice: wpdb::escape is deprecated since version 3.6! Use wpdb::prepare() or esc_sql() instead. in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908
Any advice would be great!

I installed this theme “fastfood” @ https://www.igalapedia.com about one month ago, all of the sudden, the webpage refused to load one day, I install another theme the page loaded faster and correctly, I re-install fastfood, then uninstalled all plugins and the pages loaded. I re-installed the plugins one after the other only to discovered that about eight plugins are conflicting with the the theme. Please can some one help me out with this problem? The conflicting plugins are what I cannot do without to run my site, then I also needed the fastfood theme the same time. All these problem started on one day.

Hello, is there a way to remove the sticky post highlights?
Heya !
Wanted to thank the people who developped this great theme.
Totally happy with it.
Just one small question.
I don’t use login or registering on the website, so I would like to have the text at the bottom of the mobile view gone.
Please, can someone tell me how to do that ?
Thank you in advance.

Hello guys.
I have the fastfood theme installed together with the plugin TinyMCE Advanced that gives me the possibility to use tables in my posts.
However, I don’t seem to be able to make the frames invisible. There are always a thin light grey line around. The cells however has none.
Does anyone know how to remove this, or if it can be the plugin that’s the problem? Could it be set somewhere in the css-file?
Any ideas how to go around this? I’m open for suggestions.
Does the block quotes work? Or am I doing something wrong? I hit the little block quote tab, and it put some kind of vertical grey line, but that’s it. No quotations…or am I missing something? Thanks.
Hi I am using fastfood for a new blog that just got launched https://www.astronidhi.com/
The fluid design is making the browser re-sizing move the sidebar menu below content. We do not think it is the right option for our audience and want to keep the sidebar static on sidebar even after window is resized. I am a novice in css and I can’t figure out how to fix this in stylesheet. Can you please help me make this fixed?
Hi!
I’m having trouble finding out what color the default background for the mobile view is, since I don’t know how to debug the code on a mobile device.
I need it for inserting Adsense ads, so that the background of the ads match that of the theme.
So I really just need the color code for the mobile view background, or, alternatively, a way to find it out by myself. It is some kind of grey.
Many thanks
Lindman

Want to tweak somethings in the styles.css, but when I select Appearance, Editor I got the error:
Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.
Where’s the styles gone to?
And how can I repair this?
Much regards,
Ronald
I am unable to update my WordPress version to 3.4 or anything newer. When I do, I get a white page and have to back down to the older version.
Are you planning on making this a responsive version? We have an annual event, and the work always heats up right about now.. Would be nice to have the ability to upgrade. I’ll probably install a new theme for 2014 event. ridingintohistory.org

After upgrading my fastfood theme to 0.32.2, I’ve been getting the following error on my blog:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ” not found or invalid function name in /var/www/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 403
I’ve tried pulling out any unnecissary plugins, but so far I’ve been unsuccessful. Version 0.32.1 of the theme worked perfectly with no configuration changes.
Hi,
Great theme. Just love it and still coming to understand all the bits and pieces.
At the moment I let users login with Facebook or Google + Using a combo of Simple Facebook/Google Connect and WP-FB-AutoConnect plugins. I was wondering if there would an easy way to integrate the Facebook Login (most important) and Google+ login (not so important) into the Fastfood theme small login box.
I’m happy to hack away at the scripts if the work isn’t too difficult.
Cheers

I am just testing out the FastFood Theme and really like some aspects of the theme. When I try to administer Theme Options in Opera (11.5.1) or IE (7), I am not seeing the actual content for the Theme Options.
I can see the menu on the left for each option, but there is no content (to the right) for each of the options. In Firefox (3.6.23) I can see, access and administer all of the Theme Options.
I have a custom menu, but when I try and move items on the menu editor page (dragging and dropping to change the order/sub-page level) I can’t. Also, the contextual help and screen option links tabs on the page don’t work.
Is this a JS problem? If so, does anyone know how to fix it?
