My fiancee loves this theme but we cannot make it responsive on mobile devices. On both iOS and Android it is showing the desktop site instead of a mobile site.

I’m actually using the Concrete5 version for this theme…wondering if there’s a theme update to enable drop/drag arrangement of portfolio items? that would be much easier than having to recreate portfolio items in the order you want them to appear?

I am using Ever After theme which is the child theme of Forever.
I really do like the theme but I have been asked by the persons website I have designed whether On a certain page I can disable the background image just for a grey background?

I am assuming this would be really easily done with a PHP command but I dont know where abouts within the code I would need insert such code?

If someone could enlighten me with where this needs to be added that would be really helpful.

Hey guys, I have some newbie question, I just can’t got a solution. When I try to change the background image, it always makes the image I choose with 80×80 px and tile it. Why is that and how I can change it. The image I upload is 2000×1250 px.

Hi, I’m a newbie (no adequate CSS knowledge) trying to create a web that goes like this:

1. When I open https://gallerypelangi.esy.es/ I will see featured images slide below the header. Below the image slide, is a welcoming narration about Gallery Pelangi (titled “Selamat Datang”). I’m not sure whether it should be a page or post. That’s all, I don’t want any posts showing below it.

FYI, previously I created a page and go to Setting>Reading>Front Page Display> and choose this page. Unfortunately, the featured image slide won’t show, then. Frustrated, I deleted all the pages. Right now, as you can see, there are posts showing below the welcoming narration “Selamat Datang”.

2. When I click DELICACIES on the navigation menu, it will take me to another welcoming narration about delicacies with featured image. This narration will stay there, on top.

Below this delicacies welcoming narration, I want some posts (Kastangel, Lidah Kucing) to show (just summaries, not full posts), regardless the sequence.

FYI, at the moment, I’m using the category as navigation menu.

Please help. I think I’ve messed up.

Does anyone else have this issue? I have this theme set to have only one column; so, no sidebars at all. And while it looks perfectly centered on two laptops, it doesn’t look right on my iPhone. Basically, it loads the content on the left, while the right half of the screen shows the background. Is there any way to make it load in the center on mobile devices?

I am trying to change the color of the title text on the theme.

I did some custom CSS by changing the hex color here:
#site-title a {
color: #C5E3BF;
}

This does not work. When doing Ctrl+U on the site, it appears that the color of the title text is defined in the HTML as well? Is it possible to override this with the CSS?

Perhaps I’m looking at this wrong. Let me know your thoughts.

Hello, I’m trying to change the color of the ribbon banner for the tagline on the site. I see it’s three separate images and do have a base knowledge of some CSS editing and can change the colors in photoshop on my own.

How would I get these images and then where do I upload them to though?

Is there any way to get a navigational arrow in the front page slider, so when you hover over it you could navigate from post to post? I can see as more posts get added, waiting to see the later ones, would be a bit tedious.

Is there a way to have a “blog page” as well as the sticky post slider front page? I usually have a static page on the home page, so am not entirely sure how themes where the front page is the blog, work. The slider is a great functionality , but would love there to be another secondary page where the blogs show up in the “blog format” as it appears when there is a static page!

Hopefully I’m making sense!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know if I’m being silly, but I can’t get the marquee to show up. I’ve made my posts sticky, they all have decent sized images. How do I get the scrolling marquee to show up on the home page? I’ve tried static and posts, as the main page. Am i missing something trivial?

I want to create an image heavy look and feel. Thus putting my images at the top of the page, with the text/headline underneath.
How do I make this change so that I can reduce the gap at the top of the image?

Also the white background I find too sharp, can I change this to a creamy colour?

I’d like to create a child theme based on ever after however I am getting an error message.

Is it not possible to create a child theme since ever-after is a child of the forever theme, and one cannot create a grandchild theme?

I’d love to have some submenus in my everafter wordpress site, but cannot find where to create them in the edit menu choices.

For example I’d like a menu item called Books and then different choices when you hover on that such as picture books, novels, etc.

Is this functionality available in the EverAfter theme?

Hi, I like Ever After theme and I’d like to translate it to my language. I tried with the .pot file, but it only contains 4-5 items. How can I translate other items (eg. Leave a reply, Recent Comments, Logged in as, etc.)?

I don’t know whether that matters but I use Latin Extended charset.

I am working with the Ever After theme for a wedding website for my son and his fiance. I have prepared drafts of the various pages, but each page “banner” says home despite the fact that under pages, they show the “proper” names such as “about us”, “rsvp”, festivities etc. How do I change this information. I thought it was part of the header, but I can’t seem to find the info to change.

I am trying to modify the color of the links in the menu bar of ever after. I’ve found the CSS code where to change the color (changing it to #660099) but when I do for some reason it alters the alignment of the links and now it overlaps w the top line image. If I change the color back it goes back to normal?? Any help is greatly appreciated. Not sure what would cause the changing of a color to alter the texts alignment.

The Background Info:
I started my website using Ever After by Automattic, but decided to use its parent Forever in the end because I needed a sidebar for my site. However I preferred the look of my site using Ever After so I decided to create a kind of Franken-theme using visual elements from ever after in the Forever theme.

Now that I’ve gone and figured all that out, I realize that I really liked the responsive capabilities of Ever After.

So my question is this: how do I get the responsive capabilities (I.e. different layout and small menu) from Ever After into my child theme?

I installed Ever After initially and then when looking around to see how I could change font(s) I noticed the masthead mentioned that Forever was require (which I have uploaded now).

First question, based on what I think i have understood from the codes:
I did not see any forever-child in the files. Is this required to connect the two?

Additionally I would like to change the fonts but wanted to make sure that I would wreck something if I included some Google fonts. Also some guidance as to what js file I should use if that is the best way to include the fonts I want. (Understand that I would have to do some css changes after).
