I installed elixar theme, but i can’t edit pictures, change fonts or its size, delete a button.

I have used the customize area to change the link colour in the foot.

It remains orange.

Also, is there a way to remove all of the orange from the site?

I have created a child theme that worked perfectly when the site was local.

Now that it is live I get a message saying:

Name Description
Elixar Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Elixar” parent theme.

Even though Elixar is installed and in use. I have tried reinstalling Elixar but that gives me an error message saying it is already installed.

I have copied your Child Theme notes from the Elixar Lite documentation. It’s just not working.

I am trying to add an image header via >Customizing>General Settings>Header Options but it is not allowing me to do so.

When selecting add “new image” it allows me to choose image, but when hitting “select & Crop”, the image does not display in the next window that is headed up “crop image”.
Even if I select the “select and crop” button at the bottom right of ths window it still does not add my image.

Instructions have been followied fully , but its not working, but was fine when we used the ibiz theme.

Local site.

Want to replace site name, strap line and logo with a header image.

The head shrinks down to nothing if I take the above out.

The header image is the right size.

The site is still local, thank god, because when I updated to version 2.9 my whole site, except the parts that I changed using a child theme, are gone from the actual site, although still in the back office.

I’ll leave the local site open so people can see what I mean!

I uploaded the translation for german as .po /.mo file.

Some words were not translatable, e.g.

“Message” in comments.php:49

Is there a way to remove the “No Comments” when posts have no comments or when there is no commenting allowed on posts?

Is there a place in the settings where I can replace the photos that appear on the front page. I don’t mind the mountain one but I would like to change the people sitting in the bar.

I am creating a site for our patient group. I have added some content.

Normally pages are displayed as

However the spacing between the paragraphs is very close.

It is not as bad with the posts on the blog

I created a page which included a 20px spacer block between each paragraph and it is much more readable.

Is there a way which I can make the default spacing between the paragraphs as a lot of our patients have eye problems and having the extra spacing will make it easier for them to read.

I had the Elixer header exactly the way I wanted it until the update before the most recent one. Now all of my text is different colours from the ones I’ve set in the customisation screen.

I was hoping the new update would fix this, but apparently not!

I am going to be using a child theme, but it would be nice if this was fixed.

Hello Elixar, I would like to hide the post meta in the post previews on the front page blog/posts section.

It looks messy and isn’t necessary. Can you tell me how to do that in your theme?

I like having the home page section “Our Services” with a very brief description underneath each item. However, each item links to a page and I want to add content to those pages without adding content to the preview that appears on the home page. I tried adding new gutenberg blocks but they just end up flowing through to the home page.

At first I thought I could just add duplicate pages but now I realize I don’t think it will work because the “our services” section pulls from the page titles and there will be a conflict with the duplicate page titles (meaning – one will have to be Example and the other Example1).

Any ideas on how to overcome this challenge?

Dear Elixar team, once again I love the theme. On your demo content the Button Style 2 for the Hero section has the transparent background with the orange text. However, now that my site is live and I am continuing to make updates and minor adjustments, when I try to change the button style from Button Style 1 to Button Style 2 (in Customizer -> Hero Section -> Settings) it does not update. Any ideas? Troubleshooting? Help? Thank you

Hi, I need to know how to create other social media buttons additioanly to the ones the theme support at present. I need to add, linkedin and youtube to the theme. at present the theme only has: facebook, twitter, google plus, Instagram, flickr and skype. any help will be highly appreciated.. Thanks

Hello – great theme, I love it and I think I’m going to change over a few sites I have and am working on to Elixar. However, I’m confused about the page sections. The sections are called “Hero”, “Services” etc. and they look excellent as the come with the demo content. My problem: I want these sections on the home page only. But they’re showing up on every other page. The way the sections are built it makes me thing there’s shortcode somewhere I could delete but can you help?
