Hi,
Theme seems to be not fully responsive.
The right side in portrait view of the page https://www.naviga.pl/komunikaty/ is partly cutting on mobile.

The Roboto Slab font is not loaded correctly. The font is loaded with ://fonts.googleapis.com...
but WordPress would guess this is a relative path and not an URL because of the “:” char. You have to change in functions.php
the enqueuing of this font by :
// Add Roboto Slab font.
wp_enqueue_style( 'roboto-slab', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:400,700,300&subset=latin,cyrillic', array(), null );

Hi
Thanks for this great theme.
We seem to be having an issue with the homepage
We created our own homepage (named accueil) and selected it as a static homepage on the theme’s customization section (appearance/themes/Displace/customization); as well as on the site’s reading settings section(Settings/Reading).
Yet the site’s visitors complained about getting the Contacts page whenever they browsed the site.
I checked the homepage settings and discovered that the customization section was showing the Contacts page as static homepage.
I therefore modified this and saved the correct setting (Accueil).
A few days later and we are back to square one, the Contacts page comes up first and that is what is again selected as static homepage in the theme’s customization section.
What are we doing wrong ?
thanks
yann
I’m trying to change the background color of the “aside” post-format. Ideally it’d be a third color choice (instead of the default and “dark”) but I’d settle for changing it to “dark” since I use the a/v posts less frequently. As it is, the lack of a header means it kind of “bleeds into” adjacent posts, visually. A simple background change would fix that.
I’ve been through the css and have found the code associated with “aside”, “audio/video” and with the “dark” post-format. I can’t figure out how a particular post format is designated as “dark” or not.
I’ve looked into plugins that can change individual posts’ background colors but the “background” they change per post is the whole site background, which I’d prefer to leave alone. However, if anyone knows of a plugin that can do what I want, I’d be happy to hear about it.

I am using Displace 1.09 in a GoDaddy managed WP environment. When they upgraded to WP 4.0 I lost my ability to “add media” and to use the use Yoast SEO. Is this a Displace 1.09 issue?
]]>This is a GREAT theme that does everything I need it to do (almost). It looks great in all browsers – except it does NOT work on my iPhone. All that shows up on iPhone is the logo and the side bar. When you click on the menu links – again, all that shows up is the logo and the side bar. So the site is unusable by mobile devices.
How can this be fixed?
ALL HELP AND ADVICE GREATLY APPRECIATED
]]>Hello! In the preview image of Displace, I really like how the image of the mountains looks like a page header. However, when I tried it, I discovered this was set using a featured image on each individual post. This theme would be pretty much perfect for me if I could have it look exactly like how it looks in the preview, but with a different, static, unchanging image instead of the mountain panoramic.
Is this feasible?

Failing that, how do I set the page width to get rid of the blank space.
does anyone can tell me how to change (not to delete!) the subsciption ” proudly presented by.. and the template name” ?
I’m using the (free) version of Displace.

]]>Hello.
I’m using the Displace Accordion spoiler. You can see that on test.railroadsofny.com that when you click the news items on the right, the second paragraphs in the spoiler are “tabbed” in or have a margin of margin-left:70px.
Since I am handing this to a client for input, I have to fix this in a way that they can put the content in themselves – so I have to create the fix in the code or in the spoiler itself (within the text portion of the wordpress user interface.
I’ve been searching for days now and need assistance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

]]>Hi!
Is it possible to easily move tags block from the right to the bottom of the post? For the blog with source code examples – post width is too narrow.
I tried to change .entry-meta css (float: right;) to (float: bottom;) – it works. But it seems I have to change some width and margins somewhere else.
thanks

The .po file is downloadable from https://poeditor.com/projects/view?id=14871. From there, it’s also easily possible to translate the theme into any other language you desire!
Enjoy ??

Hello.
I was editing the functions.php file of my site in order to add a footer and I’ve encountered a huge problem.
Immediately I have the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/17/11705017/html/wp-content/themes/displace/functions.php on line 314
I’m panicking a bit as I’m new to all of this, and I was following online instructions.
Can anyone help me reset the file to the original (without my edit)?
* It’s currently not allowing me to do anything except showing the error message. Please help!
Thank you so much in advance

]]>I’m sorry, I am new to WordPress, so I don’t even know how to tell you what version I am using.
I set my theme to be “Displace” but when I preview it on my dashboard, it is nothing like the themes screen (where I picked it from). All I can change is the background photo, but nothing else, and, again, it looks nothing like what it did in the theme selection page.
Here is what it looks like now: https://69.195.124.151/~kosmicma/
It has “Hello World…” where there is supposed to be a photo, and my website title where there is supposed to be another photo. What happened to the photos from the original theme? There is nothing in the dashboard that suggests I can put them in. So confusing…
What did I do wrong?
]]>functions.php does not have a php close tag ?>
I received a 404 warning about a resource not being found. It was the result of:
wp_enqueue_style( 'roboto-slab', '://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:400,700,300&subset=latin,cyrillic', array(), null );
“/fonts.googleapis.com/css?fam…etc” was being appended to my domain name, so it was looking for “likefilthyrags.com/fonts.googleapis.com/css?fam…etc” Adding the php close tag to the end of the document resolved it.
I recently installed wordpress for a site I’m planning, at https://elfintechnologies.com. One thing I’d hoped for is that by using wordpress, some of the old hassles with pages looking grossly different on different browsers would be gone. Looks like that isn’t the case at all! I primarily use Firefox myself, but always check web pages I make in whatever other browsers I happen to have. I chose the Displace theme because I likes the dark green background, and liked the way my LONG site title (Elfin Technologies) fit in the left sidebar. But that was in Firefox (v.19 I think). When I look at the same page in IE 8 I was pretty disappointed. Not only was the color of the left sidebar completely gone and replaced by GRAY, but the site name gets cut off to read “Elfin Technolog”, because the font is now way too HUGE. Then I went and looked at the site using Chrome, and there isn’t even a vertical left sidebar titel… instead the site title bar is in a horizontal bar along the top.
I’m no super HTML coder, but I’ve done my share of sites by hand, and I certainly could have done a much better job making a page look a LOT more similar between browsers. Can anyone shed some light on whats going wrong here? Is this a wordpress issue, or have I just chosen a horrendously nonresistant theme?
]]>Hi.
I installed the DISPLACE theme and I’m trying to customize it a bit.
Some questiones:
1- Post in the index page do not show author and categories on the right side, but when you open any post as a single page, those two features are present. I would like to have author and categories also in the home, is it possible?
2- I do not like so much the style of tags, so I would change it into a single line where all tags are formatted as normal links and separated simply by a ,. Is it possible?
Thanks for the help and congrats for the great job. The theme is really close to what I was looking for.
Hi there,
I have 14 menu entries in the vertical menu. Everything fine on the desktop computer with a big browser window. Looking the website at the iPad the vertical menu stays on top and covers the total screen space and no page content is seen at first. Is it possible to switch from vertical to horizontal menu if the browser window gets narrow?
Thanks for your help!

I’m using WP3.7.
At the moment, as you can see, there’s a large gap to the right of the body text and I’d like the page content to stretch across the entire page. I’d also like the featured image to stretch across the entire page but I’m not sure how to make it do this?
Lastly, I would like the page text to be justified, and not left aligned, but even Firebug doesn’t seem to be able to show me where the code is for this.
My site is: https://www.maxiselfstore.com
Any help would be much appreciated as I am very new to stylesheets – I’m using Firebug which does make life a little easier.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

background: none repeat scroll 0 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);

]]>I am using the Theme Displace. I customized the css but something went wrong with the layout of the 2 columns. When I move the brower window to make it larger or smaller, it appears that the 2 columns move to the left of the window and then the verticle nav bar and header (logo) bump up to the top of the page and become a horizontal bar spanning the entire page. I would like the theme to act like it is supposed to with both columns staying in place in the center of the page. I’ve tried a lot of things. Maybe the content needs to be wrapped. I tried adding the #wrap into the css but I don’t know how to add a div to the html and I don’t know php. I even changed the theme to another and then changed it back to the displace theme but it’s still doing it’s own thing. I would appreciate if someone could help me fix it. Thanks Here’s the link and if you can’t see the css I can provide that too:

Hi,
Love the theme. Am using it now on ricardo-sanchez.com.
Have a bug on Mac in chrome and safari with the submission form fields and button. They appear below the row I believe they were intended. On chrome, only the submit button appears.
Curious if you’ve encountered this before or if possible, I’m doing something wrong.
Thanks
]]>I would like the caption for the Featured Image to be visible, on all pages where I have put a Featured Image (and a caption).
Good karma will envelop whomever can help me with this!
Love the theme!
One small quirk: when I set the featured image from a file that was uploaded to the media library before I activated the theme the image is cropped to the thumbnail size – looks like about 200x150px – when it shows on the page even though it’s in the library as 960x150px.
The one I uploaded after activating displace shows at its full 960px width on each page where I set it as a featured image. As I’m in the early stages of developing this site it’s not a big deal for me – but for someone who has many pre-existing library images that would get cropped it could be a major pain.
It’s set from a pre-existing library image on this page and from one I uploaded after activating displace here
