Has anyone resolved the issue of the stretched header? Using recommended header size, but still distorts image

Underneath my header and title is a box. Inside that box it says, suitable for personal blogs….. then has the social media icons below it. How do I remove this?

I want my blog to feed on the front page with a sidebar but the other pages to only be one column wide…

The icons are not appearing on my site, just as small squares. When I also enter my address in the instagram box it disappears when I update.

great theme! well done. just one question, i am somewhat familiar with css and see the theme doesnt have much in the stylesheet.css file. say i want to change the background and text color, what do i need to add to change this?

I uploaded an image with the suggested dimensions but when it appears on the site the header is huge and stretched. how do I fix this?

I am trying to add author photo to user profile and it seems impossible – I am sure I am missing something but cannot see what. I am new to WP so please avoid using jargon in the replies – I won’t understand them.

I have set my blog to notify me whenever there is a comment waiting for moderation, but I never receive emails. The email address is with the same company that hosts the blog.
Under Settings>>Discussions I have checked the boxes that say to E-mail me whenever “Anyone posts a comment”, and “A comment is held for moderation”
I have confirmed that the email address works by sending an email direct from several different providers, including the hosting provider.

Any ideas?

can you pls check why i have a stretched/distorted header picture? i have been using the theme for long and like it really but the header beats me. i tried all tricks down here on the support list.
would be super important to figure out as website is a part of my art portfolio and needs to be really neat .

Also, in the theme options, I have added the URL for – Logo image url to display adjacent top menu – but it does not display the logo. What max size should this be?

Hi, I would like to change the color for the social buttons and for the links inside a post and for the title of the post. Can I do that? thx

After I fill in my Instagram link in Appearance -> Theme options. It is gone again. The icon is on my webpage and it is linked correct. But when I change something in the Theme Options it is gone. So I always have to copy/paste my link when I change something.

Maybe a small bug?

I am trying to figure out how I can change the background/hover-over color of the socialmedia icons. At the moment the icons are standard grey. (maybe this is also changeable?) and when I hover over an icon it changes to a turquoise color.
I tried to look in some (style) files but to be honest I have no clue were to find it.

And should I make a Child theme to keep my changes save when WP updated?

The blog page shows the full article. Tried to change the settings on “Reading” to summary but doesn t work.
Also in the attributes of the blog page there is not a selection of a blog template….
So how can i make the blog page showing a summary of the post and not all the post? I would like to have also…”Read More” and then click to see the full post.

The image I use for header on my page: https://www.kokkenet.dk does only scale in width. I want it to keep the ratio between width and height and still scale/be responsive.
How can this be solved?

I am hoping to use this theme for a single-page personal landing theme, and as such do not need RSS or Comments or the like. Is there any way to adjust the Meta widget so it only shows Site Admin and Log out on a single line so I can put that in the Footer? I want to be able to log in without making it seem apparent for any of my readers.

Mobile menu does not show up on narrow screen widths. There’s an area to the left of the header, which looks like it’s clickable, but clicking on it doesn’t do anything. Inspecting the mobile menu using Chrome Developer Tools shows no menu items.

Hi my header image distorts as the window increases / decreases.

Is there any way you can correct the code in the header.php file to maintain the aspect ratio of the header image, so as to stop this distortion?

I do not want to use an image that stretches, because I want my logo in the header image.

(It appears a lot of ppl are having the same problem as me in this forum)

Hi,

I am trying to add a left sidebar so I was wondering if you could help me. I followed the instructions here so that means creating a new sidebar php file, registering it in functions.php and calling a get_sidebar() function from (what I assume is the right location) page.php.

Perhaps I haven’t done something in another file or set the alignment of the sidebar? Thank you for your assistance.

Thumbnails appear in posts on main page but despite being manually set to 50×50 in Settings-Media, they are not appearing in these dimensions and are far too large.

May I please know how to force the thumbnails to appear at the dimensions I have specified, either 50×50 or some other user defined specification.

How can i change the color of the body link

The color of the menu button on the current page is solid black.
I cann t find where in the css code is that to change it.
Tried to change the following:

At the moment if somebody press the social media buttons

I installed a logo for the header image, but when I unchecked “Display Header Text” it still displays.
I tried to get the text to disappear in both the “Customize” theme window and in the “Custom Header” window, but the text still shows up over the logo.
