Help! I volunteered to help with a non profit art website that was created a few years ago. The original art group does not existence. I have worked with a few WordPress sites in the past so I have found most things and how to change them. On this site there is a bar of images below the menu that I need to change. Can someone tell me where this image could be located in this theme. I need to change it to some more current photos of art. I looked under images and did not see it and I can’t figure out where the image is in the theme.

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question and belongs somewhere else on the forums. I’m still new to WordPress and brand new to the forums to boot. I did do a Google search of my question but didn’t come up with anything.
For context: I have a free website therefore am unable to add custom CSS to it…If I’m understanding correctly. I am also running it almost exclusively through the mobile Jetpack app.
I am a book review blogger and my review posts have a lot of general book information as the first text, which makes the excerpts pretty…ugly, to be honest. In the Customizer, the only options I’m seeing are for excerpts or full post. I added a More block to the very beginning of every post right under the title (a suggestion I saw on another post here), but as you can see in my link, it didn’t work.
Is there a way I am missing to just completely disable post excerpts across my entire site and just have the Featured Image and title displayed?
Again, I apologize if this isn’t the right place to go, but I figured the forum for the theme I’m using would at least be a good starting point.

]]>I can’t select anything using the cursor from the dropdown menu under Attorneys or Practice Areas. It only works if I use the down arrow on the keyboard. Once I’m in the area using the down arrow, the other drop downs work using the cursor.

]]>I’ve added the Comment Form block to my page. I’ve enabled comments on the page. When I view a preview or live view, as soon as I enter the first character in the Comment field, there is little text box (with “add your thoughts” verbage) and some text that appears that shouldn’t be appearing, and it doesn’t go away even when clearing the comment field.. I’m not editing CSS or anything. What the viewer would see would make the form unusable so I really hope to find a solution.
]]>Hi, apologies as i’m almost certain this is a user error but i’ve run out of brain capacity.
We recently started adding pages to the site for new functionality and services. While doing this we also switched the defaul editor to the blocks system away from Classic.
For some reason, the featured image on the home page has over cropped (cutting the head off the rider in the picture) and i cannot figure out why or when i did this, if i did do it.
Additionally we have added some pages and on these pages the content is not filling the page and images are not being spread accross the page along with a lot of “Dead” space on the left hand side of the pages. THese aren’t “live” yet but i can provide links to them. We will launch these services by completing the menu structure needed when we are ready to launch.

I have a question regarding blog posts.
I’ve noticed the page for blog entries on the Dara theme adds a button on the bottom saying “see older entries” every five entries. If you click on it, it uploads those older entries, but everything remains on the same page (which becomes very long).
Is it possible to personalize it so that you get an additional page for every ‘X’ number of blog posts (pages 1, 2, 3, etc.)? Maybe through a CSS code?
For example, if you get an extra page every three entries, having 7, 8, or 9 entries would add up to 3 pages.
]]>I have problems with featured image together with grid template. Despite image sizes such as 2560×1920, 4690×3387 and 2136×1535, they don’t cover the entire featured image area, but the image only occupies half the space.
If I crop the image in advance to 1180×434 instead of uploading the original size, the feautured image is displayed correctly on pages/posts. However, thumbnails are unflattering on pages with the grid template when featured images are cropped to 1180×434. So this is not a solution.
How do I achieve the following results? https://darademo.wordpress.com/services/ There you will see that thumbnail images have a different image format than the featured image. Surely that’s how it should work, that a sufficiently large image is automatically adjusted in the featured image area, but that doesn’t seem to be the case?
I haven’t made any changes to the theme/CSS and only have one active plugin but disabling it makes no difference.

I currently have a theme (Luxury) which is retired on my main site Randomnestfamily.org. So, I am using my old Sunday school site to test Dara before committing to my business site.
I would like to make the Categories be at the end of the post only, not at the top, but below like my tags.
Next, I would like the side bar to have a line between it and the content so it doesn’t look as if they run together. like on my current site here.
LASTLY, THE PULL QUOTES are too big. No matter which font I choose.
How can I fix these issues to make Dara a good fit for my business site.?

I use the theme Dara for this website, it works great.
The only thing that is not working is the hamburger menu on mobile devices and tablets.
The menu on desktop works perfectly, its the normal menu not the hamburger one on desktop.
I searched for 2 day’s now for a solution but did not find one so far.
Could someone look to my problem and maybe provide me with a solution?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been using the DARA theme for a while now and it works great for me. However, there’s this annoying glitch that shows a space at the bottom of the Featured Content Slider. After I click on one of the arrows, the slider automatically adjusts to the right height. I’ve been using the recommended 880×312 for my featured image. Does anyone know how to remedy this? Thank you.

I am working on a site on behalf of a friend and client and are making some minor changes.
One of these changes was to hide a very annoying facebook chat pop up as we decided to use another plugin that enables contact from FB and Whatsapp combined.
I managed to hide the widget by inserting some customer css as below:

]]>I don’t know what I did, but ever since I installed the theme, the image that shows on every page just below the menu bar has never been there.
I think what happened is that for whatever reason, the starter theme (Astra) that was installed automatically when I installed WP sabotaged the new Dara installation. It took a lot of gnashing of teeth to finally get rid of most of the traces of that old theme.
Is it possible that that theme prevented that widget or bit of code, whatever it is, from being included? If so, how do I get it back?

How do I get my blog page to only display excerpts instead of whole posts?
I have tried adding a few lines of text into the “Excerpt” box in Post Settings but the blog page still shows the complete posts.
I’m sharing the link above, but this is happening throughout my whole site. I recently changed my menu bar color but it seems when making that change also changed my hyperlink colors. It’s now a very light blue which makes it hard to read against a white background color. I have two button types, one style is ‘fill’ which is a lovely green with white writing. The other style is ‘outline’ with a white background and green text and outline. They look great until you go to preview and hover over the second button. The hover colour is the default from the Dara theme, a turquoise colour. I would love the hover colour to be this off-white #e8eeea on all similar buttons.
Any help would be really appreciated.

The navigation on my website’s desktop version works fine.
My issue is regarding the mobile version.
Now all of the information shows .. it’s the styling of the dropdown.
For example if you visit the website https://925health.com you will see the following in the menu dropdown:
Training
– weight loss
– build muscle
– home workouts
etc
now … on mobile I would like it so that it shows training and then there’s an option to press it to create a dropdown of the sub categories.
At the moment it works like this on desktop, but on mobile it shows everything and it just makes the menu look huge. Is there a simple way to fix this?
