This theme makes it quick and easy to set up a blog site and to highlight featured content. I use the magazine display to show both the most recent posts and to highlight each of the 4 main post categories on the website.
There is a clean look and feel overall as well.
It took me a few minutes to figure out some of the theme’s functions but, the help guide on the main theme site makes it quick and easy.
I was going to give the theme a 4/5 due to lack of color customization in the free version. However, theme developers have to make money somehow and if I am really desperate, I can always modify the CSS myself.
Honestly, I may save my pennies and purchase the premium lifetime access to all their themes eventually. Always nice to have a bag of premium themes at one’s disposal.

I have a number of sites that needed a makeover and I needed to find a theme that could be installed without having to have a lot of configuration such as moving things from one widget to another or other problems that a new install of a theme can cause to an existing site.

I’m using this great theme for a travel blog. I’m a software engineer by trade.
Courage uses JavaScript and CSS media queries to adjust to the size of the screen displaying it.
The theme’s core php files are sane and well thought. I use a child theme to hold customizations for my site. Courage has lots of filters and actions defined; it is easy to customize from within my child theme.
Most impressively, my site gets a 93% PageSpeed Insights mobile score using this theme. I’m also using Cloudflare.com (but not rocketloader) and wp plugin “autoptimize” to help with that score.
I found and reported a few bugs in the theme. The developer fixed them within two weeks.
Caveat: I am not using this theme’s “magazine” front page, nor its “featured posts slider.” The developer heavily advertises these features; I can’t make any comments on them. In fact, I mostly ripped these features out of my site altogether.
