Gosh I like this theme.
It’s like an old friend you keep going back to.
I sure hope it’s maintained and it continues to be compatible with newer versions of WordPress.
Gosh I like this theme.

This theme is beautiful. I’d been looking for a theme for my wife’s travel writing website, which profiles essays and stories from authors. Due to her target audience content has to be clear and read easily on a tablet as well as a desktop, with simple and obvious navigation. As soon as I saw this theme I knew it was the one for us.
Responsiveness is clean and quick. It’s better than the theme I use for my website, which cost me $50. In fact we bought two licenses of that theme; we used one on my wife’s website but I’ve ditched it in favour of Chun (and my child theme hacks).
One thing I particularly like is the ‘retro’ breadcrumb, that seems to have lost favour with theme designers lately. I’ve never understood why because for many internet users, having an obvious menu system like this is a real boon. I’d like to see more breadcrumbs like this in the future.
The bulk of my wife’s traffic revolves around her travel writing forum and I’ve recently migrated her SimplePress forum over to bbpress (which was a breeze). Although the Chun features summary claims not to support bbpress, I have it up and running and it looks great. With some tinkering of the sidebar and various full-width formats, this looks great and, most importantly, is easy to digest. Note to Justin: I’m waiting to hear back from you on why you claim not to support bbpress. Does this mean the theme doesn’t support it, or you personally do not respond to support questions on implementing bbpress?
Justin’s a well-know coder (creator of the Hybrid framework and a hugely popular blog on coding) and having had a look under the bonnet you can tell this is a well-constructed theme. He even uses it on his own website (at the time of writing).
I haven’t done so yet because I’m comfortable tinkering with CSS and minor bits of code but I will quite happily pay the $29 annual support fee shortly. I’ve read elsewhere it’s good value for money and when you consider how much premium themes cost these days I think you’d be silly to not tinker with Chun first before buying a theme.

Was looking for a friendly looking and responsive WordPress theme. Had trouble with other that have fly-out menus, those often did not work on a Samsung tablet. This Chun theme just uses static menus, which works fine for me, and looks great on all platforms.
I do you have some trouble translating all texts in the interface (comments for instance) to Dutch, but am getting there.

Guys – I feel really dumb asking this, but I can’t figure out how to use a theme that isn’t on wordpress’s list of 200 themes. Can anyone help me? I love this design and really want to use it!! Thank you!!

When I first saw the theme on Justin’s blog, I really loved it. It’s an original layout and has really great features.
Thanks for making it available for free download.
You can’t go wrong with a theme by the creator of the Hybrid framework.
