Hi. The site was working fine. I then updated the free chronicle them to version 2.7. I also update wordpress to version 5.2.3.

The slider is slider 2 and has three images.

The slider was working as it should before the updates.

Now the page with the slider on (which is the themes page) shows but without the slider being displayed in any shape or form. No text, no buttons, no images.

Is there something obvious I am missing? I’ve looked on the forum but I can’t find anything on it. I’ve seen and reviewed what to do if it doesn’t auto play and the .js file mentioned in the other post looks as it should be.

To recap: before updates slider present and working
update theme and then wordpress
Now the slider has disappeared.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hi,

Some of the elements in the chronicle theme are pink: the header text, the menu, the buttons in the footer Options section. We would like all these elements to become red. I’ve no experiences with CSS, so I need some deteiled help here.

Like walters18 11 moths ago I have a problem to change the slider description texts. When I go to the Theme Options – Theme Slider options i do see the 3 slider titles and 3 slider decription text boxes. But what ever I do, I don’t get somthing els on my page then “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing metus elit.” Except somehow on slider 3. But that went correctly only once, I can’t change that anymore either.

I recently installed the Chronicle theme, I have had Nishita for almost 5 years and love it but needed the change. I was just playing with the customization and found that I was running into a problem.

The front page has two sliders. One of which is called a Slider Description, a black box with this writing in it “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing metus elit.” I am not able to edit it nor can I remove it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi! I am using the theme Chronicle to create a website. When I add information to a page it splits some of the words at the end of the line and cuts off some of the letters. Hi there,

I often will write a new post and select multiple categories for it to fall under but I would like to be able to choose which category is displayed in the small box at the top of the post when published. Currently it seems to just randomly pick one of the categories I’ve choosen and I don’t know how I can select one specific one without unselected all but one category.
Is there something in CSS I can add?

I have been trying to crop my photos so that they fit in the slider images. I crop in the edit page but that doesn’t seem to work. The bottom half of the image is cut off and I can’t seem to do anything about it.
Can anyone help me?

For the Chronicle Theme, I updated the theme and when it installed I refreshed my browser and the site was down. After closing and trying different browsers to open my site, I only found a blank white page. Luckily I had a backup to the Theme from the previous version and reinstalled that version through FTP and it worked again! Please be careful updating, and make sure to backup your site before applying any updates! Hopefully this glitch in the update will be fixed soon.

I have this theme installed, and have a child theme set for it as well.
For some reason the theme has broken and will not allow the main page to be a static front page. It acts like it wants to set it to a blog page or something strange. It acts like it cannot read the child theme settings or any of the info on the page itself.

Just wondering if it’s now possible to click on the slider images and it links to another page. I have Chronicle Premium and noticed that there is a permalink in the settings but nothing happens when I click on the slider images.

The mobile version of my website (https://marie-leroy.be) is not responsive. I tested it on an iPhone 4S and a Wiko. The display is different on both but none of them is really responsive. Do I need to activate something to make it responsive ? Or maybe it is an option only available for the premium version ?

Also, I would like to know if it is possible to display the portfolio preview on the home page and on another page ?

I’ve chosen Chronicle for the latest WordPress website I set up and I’m happy to have found it, really.

Browsing template and CSS files, I noticed that some animations are supposed to be played (“animated” class has been assigned to a lot of div elements), but they are simply not run at all when the page is being loaded. Same happens on the official demo version of the theme, no animation is visible.

Is this a premium function, or something on the verge of being implemented ? Or maybe something has been broken with the latest versions…

I’m trying to replace the sans-serif in this theme. I replaced everything in the stylesheet to Georgia and serif, except the font-awesome prompt and the selections that are keeping the footer from glitching out…But most of it is still sans-serif. I’m wondering if there’s some of it that’s not specified, so it’s just showing the basic default selection or if there’s another file where I need to change the font settings. I figure there’s probably also a way to set a superseding font with custom css input but I haven’t come across what that code would be at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

Using all the css suggested here plus a whole lot more, I’m unable to change the role link (breadcrumbs) and line below it, and search button color. I did clear my cache. I’m using the simple custom css plugin. Thanks!

Footer widget area only showing three columns. If I put in 4 widgets, 5 widgets etc. they all configure in the 1st 3 columns leaving the 4th empty.

Hi, I have added custom CSS to remove the pink on the home page but when you click on Page links to visit any page, the Pink is still the header color for the links, Page headlines and page titles.

I am trying to change things using the theme options. Nothing is changing although the save is being confirmed in the theme options. The only thing that has changed is the slide photographs. The text on top of the photos will not change.

Also, the call to action section will not change for me. I have deleted cookies several times and this has not helped.

I changed the 3 pics in the slider to my own and it doesn’t “slide” like the sample pics did. Any idea why?

This theme is VERY pink! I’ve just about gotten rid of all of it, but there’s one spot I haven’t figured out yet. When you hover over the “Articles” link, and then hover one of the drop downs (“Words” or “Videos”) that background-color for “Articles” turns pink. I just cannot figure this one out! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
