Hi I am using a plugin The Events Calendar with Cakifo theme. When the events calendar is displayed it has the heading “[Untitled]”. The plugin support states it is probably a problem with the theme. Any idea how I might be able to get around this. Website is basillmanor.org/events

Can someone recommend a good plugin, or suggestion on having the Cakifo theme work well for a mobile phone.
The homepage stretches past the view-able screen. Perhaps it’s the plugin slider I am using that is causing this.

I cannot get any Amazon links to work in Sidebars

I’ve tried adding Amazon code to text widgets and to html widgets but nothing shows. The iframe briefly appears and then disappears.

I can get a basic text link to work but would like to have small banners in the sidebars

I haven’t touched my child theme since launch. I had a few commenters on the site after launch and before today. I only noticed today that the comment submit button disappeared. I switched back to the parent theme, disabled all my plugins and it’s still missing. I switched to a different theme, the comment submit button is there. So just wondering if the latest version of wordpress affected the parent theme? Or is it just me?

I’ve added a logo to my website, but I have no idea why the logo doesn’t show up on my phone – it shows up as text – and on my iPad, the image is missing, it doesn’t show the text. I haven’t added anything to my child theme’s css in regard to home-link class.

Any ideas? TIA!

I’m using Secondary Menu for my Main Menu …. fine on PC but on the tablet the text “Secondary Menu” appears. I would prefer it to be “Main Menu” or just “Menu”. Can you advise what I need to change / where. Thanks

I only have one category for my posts on the Basill Manor website.

Is there a limit to the number of posts that appear on the Front Page?

I have Headline Posts set to 4 which is fine, then underneath the 4 all the other posts appear …… at what point do they “drop off” the Front Page?

Small question – I can’t seem to change the HOVER colour of the heading. It’s red. I’ve tried changing it using a custom CSS plugin, a child theme, and I’ve even tried changing it in the original CSS – nothing works. So I assume I’m changing the wrong thing.

I assumed I needed to change

but that doesn’t work, so can someone tell me where it is?

how do I change the appearance of the Slider, besides changing the featured image? For eg. the “continue reading” is not set correctly. If i set another “continue reading” in my post, only the one on the slider counts and the whole text of the post is shown at once in the slider. Also strong fonts and italic fonts dont change appearance on the slider. I want that changed. Can you help? Thanks!

im trying to translate my Website into german. Im using the Plugin called “CodeStyling Localization”. After i try translating, the plugin gives the notification:

“Loading behavoir: The Author uses load_textdomain instead of load_theme_textdomain or load_child_theme_textdomain function. This could change the behavoir of WordPress, because some filters and actions will not be executed anymore. Please contact the author.”

I want my site to show excerpts of my posts and found a (www.remarpro.com support forum) suggestion to change the content.php, which I did. However, now instead of having “Continue Reading” or something similar at the end of the excerpt, I have this message:

How do I get rid of that, and add the Continue Reading or More linked text? Oh, and in my dashboard settings, the option for excerpt is chosen, but apparently disregarded. Thank you.

Since the update a few weeks ago my homepage shows the whole blogposts instead of just the first few sentences. Have you inserted a new setting that I do not find? This is my site. Deactivating and reactivating the plugins had no effect on this. Thank you in advance.

This theme almost perfect, but i don’t like the thumbnail on every single post. I know the thumbnail show up only if i set featured image, but i need to set featured image for slider.

I am interested in creating a ‘page of posts’ where it is separate from the home blog page, but allows individual post entries on that ‘page’. Is that possible within this theme?

Hi – does anyone else have issues with this theme and the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin?

I’m getting the dreaded 404 when submitting the sitemap to Google.

Of course the first thing I did was search for solutions to the plugin itself. I have implemented both fixes listed here, unfortunately neither works.

As these seem to be the only two fixes needed for most people, but which don’t work for me, I was wondering if there is anything in the theme itself which could be causing this error?

and under the secondary menu. Hello, I try to work with Cakifo the first time. It is a wonderful theme and I like the easy way to customize it. Can you tell me how I can change the colours of the lines? Yellow isn’t. the color I prefer. Or better: how can I delete the lines?

I created a new page, went to preview, and all I see is “are you cheeting”. The word cheating, was shown exactly as “cheeting” This issue started today. My pages I tried to create all say the same, I have marked them as private until resolved.

I created a child theme called Cakifo-child, and now I want to adjust the height of the header and footer to be a bit smaller.

I’ve tried both adjusting the parent css file, as well as copying the header section of it to the new child css file and editing that. I’ve tried changing all of the values in the “Layout: header” section, namely in #branding, #site-title, and .flexbox. Changing these values seems to have no effect on the way the browser displays the page.

Any help?

I installed the Cakifo theme last night and got more of my configuring of the css and customizing updates done. I went to look at it on my iPhone 4 and it was not the responsive view but instead the zoomed out full site. Is there anything I have to do to make it responsive? I have not been able to check it on any other model phone, to see if it works on others. If I use the inspector in chrome and set the user agent and device size I see the responsive version. Also, if I just shrink my window in chrome or firefox it also works. Any ideas?!
