Good morning, I wanted to ask if it was possible to please have the update of this theme. Thank you and your families
]]>I’m trying to change the hover color of the tags that appear at the bottom of any posts from the current reddish color to the same orange as the rest of the blog.
I’ve used my browser’s Inspect function to get a clue but haven’t been able to locate the exact piece of code I have to edit in Customizing Additional CSS.
I think it must be related to a selection of either
.tags-links a:last-of-type, .tags-links a:visited:last-of-type,
or
.tags-links a, .tags-links a:visited, .widget_tag_cloud a, .widget_tag_cloud a:visited
but despite countless attempts I got nowhere.
Could you tell me which text I have to add in order to change the hover color to #ff7f00?
]]>Hello,
recently I’ve switched from WordPress.com to a hosted blog, which isn’t active yet (but almost is): I only need to give it the finishing touches before starting using it.
But this involves two issues I wish to solve before.
1) Is there a way to customize how the tag cloud looks in Button 2?
As it is now, tags are written in capital letters, are the same size, and highlighted.
What I’d wish to have instead is a tag cloud where the tags
– appear as I write/edit them (lowercase, with the first letter capitalized only);
– are different size, depending on the frequency I’ve used them;
– have no highlighting but are plain color;
– are a specific color (orange).
I’ve found no way to do this but I also feel this is an easy adjustment, if you’d only know where to look and what to edit.
2) I’d also wish to change the links color, from red to orange: but I can’t find a way to do this.
As for links, I mean every clickable text: Categories, the “Continue reading” part, hyperlinks in the articles and so on.
Could you help me?
]]>Hi,
I could not load a photo (http error) and tried some things to try to fix recommended on some websites. I deactivated and then activated my plugins and now nothing on my site works. It just shows four items that were not connecting to Facebook errors. Someone suggested it may be this theme. Would love help ??
]]>Hello,
I’m using Button 2 theme: by default, it displays full posts on the frontpage.
I’d wish to have it display just a short excerpt (the first few lines) of a post and then let you “continue reading” by clicking a link.
The last post of this closed thread implies there should be an option to activate this feature but I can’t seem to find it: all I see by clicking Appearance/Customize/Homepage Settings (where I think such an option should be located) is to either display my latest posts or a static page on the homepage.
Any help?
]]>I’m new to fully-customizable WordPress (have been using .com for years though), hence I’m still trying to understand how to adjust it to my needs.
The first obstacle I’ve met is the default font used for the post titles: I’m using Button 2 (with WP Google Fonts plugin installed) and I’ve seen it defaults the post titles to italic.
But I’d wish they would use the normal font, not italic.
No piece of advice I’ve found in other threads has been helpful so I decided to ask your help: how can I turn the font of my titles to normal?
As a practical example, if you follow the link to my site (I’ve only just started working on it, so forgive the lack of contents), I’d wish to use the normal font both in the posts’ title and the menus on the right.
And is there a way to change the color of the menu links from red to black, so that it’s the same color as the other texts?
]]>I set up with Button 2 premium theme. On my blog page there is a remnant of the theme placeholders that is there when viewing the page, but NOT when I try to edit that page, therefore I can’t delete it.
That big black box at the bottom “Get New Recipes….subscribe” can’t be removed….
]]>Hello!
After I already got much needed help in this forum, I’m here again with another problem. A few weeks ago I found out that the menu button below the header is not working properly on mobile phones. Tried it on Android and Apple devices and it didn’t work on any of them.
You can press the menu button and it also changes color, but the menu itself won’t show up. But when testing the theme in the wordpress-offered mobile view on PC, it’s working perfect.
It was working on mobile before already, but I can’t point out when exactly it stopped working.
I also tried the theme without modifications (in its original state), but the button didn’t do anything either. There have been no new plugins installed since the start of the blog.
Greets and thanks in advance,
Sigrid
Hi all
I have a ‘question’ and hope someone can help me with the solution
The fancy corners in the first Button theme are different from the ones used in the second button theme
1= https://melodyk.nl/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/button.jpg
2= https://melodyk.nl/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/button2.jpg
I am using the second Button theme but I like the fancy corners of the first Button theme more. Is it possible to keep the second Button theme but with the use of the fancy-corners of the first one?
And if so, what do I need to do to get it how I would like?
Thank you.
]]>Hello!
After a long time of searching the internet for a solution i give up. Apparently the thing I’m looking for is a little too specific. ??
I had a blog on wordpress.com (https://sigisbackstube.wordpress.com/), that I now transfered to a self-hosted wordpress installation. The old blog uses the original Button-Theme, the self-hosted one (www.sigis-backstube.at) the newer version.
After messing around with the theme for a while, I’m now quite satisfied. The only thing that’s bothering me, is the way the “read more” looks on a longer post.
In the old version, there is no “read more” displayed, if you included the <!-more-> tag in the post itself. That is the look I’m going for. In the newer version the text/excerpt kind of fades out before the “read more”-button is displayed.
Is there a way to change it, so it looks like in the original Theme?
Thanks a lot in advance!
]]>Hi there
I’ve just discovered something that makes me wonder… and hope for a solution…
My blog is selfhosted… and I use Jetpack…
With Jetpack the excerpt function shows like it should…
But without Jetpack… the excerptfunction does not work…
I would like to stop using Jetpack but I do want to keep the excerpt function…
a) is this possible?
b) if so, what do I need to do?
Thanks in advance for reading and advising and helping
]]>Hi all

Nowadays all blogs are aligned center automatically.
If I would like to align my blog left…
a) is that possible
b) what do I need to change
c) how about responsiveness
Hope to read some advise and info
]]>Hi,
Is there a way to customise my single post pages with the following?

1.hide the tags at the bottom of my posts?
1.remove the previous & next posts section
1.add a back button to go to page before
Thank you,

The featured image shows up in single post… and I don’t want that… the normal way to make it like I want does not work…
Can someone please help me with this?
]]>Hi
The Button theme displays in a fundamentally different way on Android (Chrome) than on any other device iPhone, iPad, Mac, Win 10 (Safari, FireFox, Chrome).
Have you any idea why this may be the case?
Many thanks

Any pro tips on how to change the image used in the widget-title
class in Button?
In its original state, the class pulls img/button.svg
from Button’s bag of tricks, but I’d prefer to change it something custom for this cowboy-centric website — perhaps a horseshoe of our own design, or an apropos Font Awesome icon.
The “button” precedes each widget title in the right-hand sidebar on this page:
The controlling file is in assets/stylesheets/layout/_widgets.scss
(plus the corresponding button.svg
file in the wp-content/themes/button/img
folder). I’ve mucked around with it a bit, but I made a bit of a mess and backed off.
Any assistance would be warmly welcomed.
]]>Hoping for some assistance please as to how I would alter the size of header 2 in button 2 theme please? Any assistance greatly appreciated.
]]>Hi, according to the description of the theme it should include accents at corners of images. however, this doesnt seem to be working for me. do I have to activate something or install a special plugin to get the sweet accents at corners like images shown in the theme preview?
]]>Hello!
I have been using the original Button theme on my wordpress.com blog for almost 2 years, and I love the “Default” setting for Blog Display under the Content Options setting. Now I’m migrating my blog to self-hosted www.remarpro.com space, and I took the opportunity to update my theme to Button 2. But the Button 2 theme doesn’t seem to offer the “Default” option for Blog Dispaly settings. Can this be turned on somewhere, or can I request the feature be added back in? I want super short post formats like Quotes to display fully and formatted appropriately, but I want my longer Standard posts to be displayed as excerpts. If this cannot be achieved through the theme customization options, is there a way to create the option for myself?
Thank you for your help!
]]>Hey,
I would love to remove the corners detail on the featured posts, and also to standardise the size of the images, ideally making them smaller and square. Can you help?
Thanks!
]]>We used to can see these buttons under the content titles. Edit | Quick Edit | Trash | View
But after we updated WP to the new version, the view button is missing.
How to have it back please?
]]>To give my blog a real autumn-feel I have changed some images…
However.. I don’t succeed in changing the following:
1) instead of the read-more-text an image
2) background of social links
How tells me what I need to do?
]]>Hi all
Is it possible to move the sidebar from the (default) right side to the left?
If so, what do I need to do?
]]>While the site title color can be changed in the customizer, the changed CSS-rule only affects .site-title a

This issue has been reported before here in the support forum, the topic was marked as resolved in this post, but the issue remains unsolved.
]]>My blog is https://www.NikkiTheorem.com
I’m using the Button 2 theme and I’m wanting to make it so that only excerpts are on the homepage and archive/category pages instead of the full posts. I know the little excerpt code and I tried to insert it where I thought it should go, but it caused an error so I removed it. Anyone have any insights?
]]>I just moved my website from WordPress.com to self hosted. I uploaded the Button 2 theme and ran into an issue. The “Automatically use fist image in post” option under Featured Images is now missing. Any thoughts as to what happened? The option is available in the WordPress.com version of the theme. Anyway to get this back?
]]>Hello!
I’m trying to adjust the padding of the main content in my site.
I want only the top portion (the white space between the background image and the dashed menu line) to be gone. In the sides and bottom spaces I don’t want to change anything.
I tried editing the ‘.site’ class. I can change the content background color, but the padding/margin options don’t change at all. Can someone help me?

]]>Hi All
I have a question for which I hope someone here can help me…
When one wants to give a reply on an existing comment the comment-form area’s position stays below all comments.
I would rather see that the comment-reply-area’s position is right beneath the comment on which one wants to reply..
The English not being my native tongue, I hope I wrote it understandable ??
Can someone tell me if that is possible and if so what I need to adjust and where?
Thank you, have a splendig weekend!
Sincere Greetings, Melody (https://melodymusic.nl)
Hi all…
I have a very challenging question *at least to me it is ;-)*
I like theme Button very much and use it on my blog at https://melodymusic.nl
I also like theme Scratchpad a lot… especially the comments-section.
Have spent countless hours to try to figure out how I can get the commentsection in Button like it is in Scratchpad. Since both themes are from the same builder I’ve decided to put my question / wish here.
Sincerely hope that someone can help me and tell me what I need to do to get it right
Greetings Melody
]]>Hi All
Alondonb mentioned in an answer on another topic that Button-2 (https://wordpress.com/theme/button-2) was released.
I have installed it and adjusted it to my specific wishes.
Wonderful to see that it now is possible to have widgets in the footer, thank you!!
I still have some questions:
1) In this second version of the Button-theme…
The menu is above the header instead of beneath it…
How can I move the menu below my header?
2) Like I wanted in the first version I now also would like to shorten the excerpt-length. I’ve tried several plugins but non of them seem to do the trick.
Is there a way to achieve this and if so; how do I proceed?
Thank you in advance for responding and helping me.
