the new WP update to 5.6 removes some of the main sections on the homepage. Is this an issue with the Jquery migrate? https://www.searchenginejournal.com/wordpress-5-6-update-may-break-sites-december-2020/386780/

Can you please let me know if this will be updated at all? Sorry on a staging site so you can’t see it in person. I roll back to 5.3 and it’s fine.

I don′t know what happened or if there was a WordPress Update (5.5.1) (I am no administrator) but suddenly the main page of the website changed in its appearance.
I can no longer see the feature text boxes or entries from the blog.

I also have the problem that nothing happens when I want to add a button to the promotion bar section.

Does anyone know what to do?

I am trying to use my Header image with some Image Mapping and lightbox calls to a PDF, but before I can do that I have to disable the built-in Header Image Link that is by default the site Home page.

I’m not very savvy at coding because I loathe coding, so I’m slowly stumbling my way through this, but removing the link has me stumped. I finally figured out how to create and activate a Child Theme, and that is working fine. But even though I have created my Style.css and Functions.php and imported from the parent Brasserie theme the Header.php and modified line 71, the link is still there.

I even imported the JS folder with the HTML5.js script because the Header file makes a call to it, but that still hasn’t changed anything.

So, 3 questions:

1) Do I NEED to have imported the JS/HTML5.js folder and file since there’s a call made to it? I don’t want to break anything if the parent theme updates.

2) What of this line of code do I need to remove from Header.php, or do I remove the entire thing (line 71):

<h1 class="site-title"><a>" title="<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( 'name', 'display' ) ); ?>" rel="home"><?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?></a></h1>

And 3) Is there anything else I need to do to remove that link from my header image? Any other files I need to add or modify within my Child theme?

I have much of my Image Mapping project complete. And my Flipbook callouts to a lightbox seem to be working (if I bring them up manually). But they both require an unencumbered header image to verify they work as planned, so removing this link is my last step to getting the final pieces completed. Like I said, I hate coding, but I can muddle my way through most things with enough patience and Google searches, though some require a helping brain now and then. And this is one of those times. ??

I have a problem with the menu. When scrolling down it is not showin when visited as a visitor.
When I am logged in as admin its working correct.
I have not installed the following plugins, because I dont need theme: Food And Drink Menu and Restaurant Reservations.
Im only creating a very easy Website.
It would be nice if you can give me a tipp.

Hello, in my new website flexslider is not appearing.
PHP 7.2, latest WP version, can’t see any error in apache log.

Can you please help? I created the category “Featured” with “featured” slug, I even tried “Featured” and “Featured”, and “featured” and “featured”, but still no slider.
Obviously, both posts have a featured image.

It was set from the customizer option, but I can’t see any difference between “Flexslider” and “No slider” setting.

I am using the Brasserie Pro theme.

I have successfully uploaded a custom font (Lucy Script and Nexa Light) to my website. I have managed to use the Lucy Script font in some text widgets (on my Flavours page) where i’ve been able to add CSS to change the font-family. However i would like to change all the headings on my website to Lucy Script font and I’m really struggling to do this.

I have tried adding the following to the custom CSS but nothing has happened:

headings {font-family: Lucy Script;}

Could anyone help me please?

But Brasserie only uses the main header image from the start page, which I can change in the customizer. If I change the post picture, nothing happens. I try this under “Edit page” (where it says: “You are currently editing the page that shows your last posts”).

I translated the site with polylang, but the eng version needs the same slug “featured”, so the flexslider can show posts with a slug featured…The slider works just in one language..Please, can I over pass this with a slider code change or something?

Nice theme author!! I have one question and hoping you can help me..
I want to put 4 different language flags in topbar where social icons are.. How can I do that? I want to create for Custom Home Page (ENG, CRO, RUS and GER language) and then with those little icons/flags to change in different language (as links)..
Is it possible to add 4 custom images with links in that section?
Because I want to full translate all 4 custom pages and then have those flags in topbar? And when i click Customize, which page language will I Customize?

I have updated to v. 2.6 and noticed that a new ‘to top’ button has been added. When I tested IE, it only shows a black button, no arrow in it like Chrome does. Is there a fix for this? I can’t see that this can be disabled in the customizer.

Also, it seems that the font color has changed to grey…I could’ve sworn it was NOT this before. How can I change this to a different color? There is only one place in customizer to change header color, but nothing else.

I’m currently setting up my website in French, English and Spanish. I use Polylang to take care of translations.
I’m trying to translate all filed of the promotional bar used on the home page. So far, I’ve managed to succesfully translate the text and the button text; but the link is the same on all 3 versions of my website. Basically, even when i’m on my English or Spanish Homepage, the button of the promotional bar links to the french version of the target page.

What would you recommend to do ?

i’d like to know if there’s a chance to insert an image in the header, where there’s the page title. I’ve tried to do this adding the “featured image” but the result is: the image above and then the title page string. In the Homepage it works, but not in other pages.
