Hi, I read earlier posts about changing width of sidebar
my code is as follows:

}Problem is that then it drops sidebar below the main content, that can be seen here:

A web site I take care of uses the Bota theme:

Clients have complained that they cannot access the site on a mobile phone.
On my Motorola, I can see the site and it works OK at first.
Then, if I touch the hamburger and select a page, I might get the page or I might get a 404 error.
When the latter happens, it seems to be that the url has this appended to it:
.html?m
So, of course, it gets a 404.
Other times, the display disintegrates into a bland, no-picture one.
Something I have not put into the theme.
Ideas?

say there should be an image upload option
and URL field.
However in my customize there is only
Featured Header text and Featured text.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this only Pro feature?
PS: I solved adding icons (like demo) by a little CSS and plugin – I’ve installed plugin that added FontAwesome to my site (Font Awesome 4 Menus), added this to my css:
.home .featuretext h3{ font-family: "FontAwesome"; font-size: 32px; }
And finally I’ve added something like
<span class="fa-cog"></span>
to “Featured Header text”
Using the free Bota theme, when viewing the site in mobile mode, the text has no margins set on either side of the content.
]]>I have a dropdown on the menu. On most browsers it seams to be ok, but on Chrome (on my laptop and Desktop) the box looks like this whereas it should look like this.
The problem with it rendering how it does on Chrome is that when the user moves there cursor down to click an option, because they go ‘off’ the dropdown onto the background, the box closes meaning the options are unreachable.
Is there any way I can fix this?
]]>I am maintaining a site running Bota 2.1, though this has been an issue since 1.9:
I wanted to customize the style sheet, so I created a child theme. The ONLY changes I did were the following:
The problem: tapping on any of the social icons in the top menu bar or the menu itself does not work on an iPhone 5 in either Chrome or Safari. I’ve confirmed this from multiple iPhone 5 users. It all works great on Android, iPads, multiple desktop browsers and both iPhone 6x and iPhone 4x. But not iPhone 5.
I don’t think anything I’ve done, as simple as those basic stylesheet and template changes are, could be causing this. We’ve tried disabling all plugins. We’ve tried using an unedited fresh install of Bota. NOTHING helps. I’m at my wit’s end. If anyone can please shed some light onto why the menu and those image links at the top don’t work ONLY on that platform, I would be forever grateful. ??

I cannot display captions of featured images of Bota theme. If I use the plugin “Featured Image Caption”, it works only on the front page but not on the posts. I tried to modify the “functions” and “custom-home” files without success. By the way, how can one display the caption title text over the featured images?

I was looking for information to disable the sidebar on the home page of the bota theme. I had found some topics on it and I went into editing and found the functions.php. After selecting that, I entered in the information that I had found on it and hit update. After doing so, I got this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data01/40/2803540/html/wp-content/themes/bota/functions.php on line 503
I hit the page back button, deleted what I had put in and hit update again. Now that is the only thing I get. I’m unable to get to my dashboard or anything.
Can someone please help.

1) I tried to find out how to change the font size of the page (names) on top of the site and also in posts and pages, as well as the color. Any ideas how to do this?
2) Also, how could I change the background color of the black bar that appears above every post?
3) The featured text area does not appear, even if I put text in it in customize. Does that have to do with the my static page in home?

Thanks for BOTA, love the theme and have been using it for nearly 2 years now.
I’m wanting to disable the slider as I don’t use it, and when I run ping tests on my site, apparently the slider/javascript for slider is extending site load wait times by 1-2 seconds.
I’m not very technical so that might be wrong; I did muck a lot with the site in the beginning and I might have messed things up.
Either way, i’m not using the slider – can you tell me what I need to delete and where I need to delete it from to disable the slider? Or how I disable it? I’m using a child theme.

I have the Bota theme on my website and the default font color is gray and very small. You can barely see it and I want to make sure my readers are able to see the text easily. I have watched countless you tube videos and have seen many ways to do it on the forum but non has worked. I go to stylesheet and can’t find where it is that I can change the color and size of the font. I was able to do it with the 2011 theme it was easy, I would go to the stylesheet press control f to find the p or body and I would change the color and size of the font but for some reason I can’t figure out or find where to do this on the bota theme. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Is it possible to edit the logo position in the header?
It seems it has some white space between the top bar, but it’s aligned instead to the bottom of the header itself.
And is it possible to move the logo a bit to the left of the page?

]]>I have three things I’d like to change or correct regarding the Bota theme. I apologize for my lack of skills in web design, but we all gotta start somewhere right?
1. Page does not do full width, even when selected from page templates. Could you tell me where in the code and what to code to correct that?
2. Above the main navigation menu in the header, when at the home page, both the home page and fishing page buttons have a large grey box on them. I would like it that only the current page has the grey box on it. Also, when I click other pages on the menu, the grey box is not there.
3. Oh! There is no third issue. So I will say thank you in advance for any assistance! Your theme is nearly exactly what I want for a website look. Kudos to those of you who create these wonderful things!

I don’t see an image folder in this theme. I’m trying to add a few images on my home page. They are little icons that go beside text in a 4 column section. Where do I put these images?

Size of the picture is stretched and pixelated. I do not understand why, when setting a featured image, it is:
1. at the top of the post as well as in the post
2. the picture at the top of the post is expanded larger than the picture size
