would love your help to understand how to invert the order of the buttons at the bottom of each page?

In fact, starting for example from this page: https://oceaniasia.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/day-2-waiheke-island/

if you scroll down to the bottom of the page and press:

> the button on the RIGHT will take you to the PREVIOUS post (Day #1)
> the button on the LEFT will take you to the NEXT post (Day #3)

I would like exactly the opposite to happen.. Any suggestions ?

I was attracted to Boardwalk by the home page design. However, I find that overall load times for the theme is very slow. The last update was in 2017 and I’m wondering if it’s being maintained and made more efficient.

Also, there’s not any usage guide that I can find anywhere around. The readme.txt doesn’t give any guidance on configuration or anything.

Are there any hidden configuration options such as setting the number of images displayed on the home page? Not much in the customizer.

the option ?colors & backgrounds“ is no more shown in the customizer. What is wrong?

Note: I use the Plugin “Styleguide – Custom Fonts and Colors“ in order to customize fonts. That works for the fonts — color customizing is not suitable for boardwalk theme. This plugin appears in the Themes customizer. Maybe that conflicts with the built-in theme-option for customizing colors?

When I insert a gallery block, specifically side by side images, everything looks perfect while I am in the editor. My images appears correctly orientated / aligned, and I can see that one of the images is Cropped automatically for alignment (this is one of the options in the block settings). However when I publish the page, none of the images are cropped so they are not lined up at all.

Is the Boardwalk theme ignoring the Side by Side images gallery settings?

I am having similar issues when trying to use columns with images in each column, I can get everything looking just how I want it in the editor and then I publish and the image dimensions are all over the place.

Any help appreciated.

This theme has no option to choose site logo. I dont use jetpack and i dont want to pay for it. Can i still get that option to put my site logo somehow? Please help. Very much appreciate all your efforts and time.

If I go from dashboard (admin mode) to main site of my blog the performance of the posts is horizontal instead of vertical.The public view however is correct (vertical).
This bug is new since a few days … who can help please?

Hello, this theme loads extremely slowly on my phone. I tested it with Safari and Google Chrome. I have only 3 plugins, no JetPack, or anything complicated. My images are not huge either.

Who can help with the following question:

Does the latest theme version needs to run with jetpack? Since updating yesterday the content of the sidebar is no more shown …

Is it possible to go directly from the nice Boardwalk front page, press a picture there and go directly to the blog post, but avoiding that blog post to “repeat” the front page picture?

We want the blog post to immediately show a slideshow gallery on the top of the page.

We want to avoid vertical scrolling as much as possible, and repeating that picture is felt like an unnecassary replication. One could include that picture in the slideshow gallery anyhow, f.ex. let it always be the first picture by some design default.

Another question from aclassifier: I see that there is no “Editor” tab in Appearance tab, so I assume it’s not possible to make a Child of the Boardwalk theme? That could in case have been used to handle the question above?

is it possible to change the height of post images to “full” or “100%” on desktop view only? I have several images in portrait view that I would like to show in full height when “entering” a post. But they are showing nicely on smartphones as they are now and I’d like to keep that as it is.

I’ve been messing with the CSS of this theme, and I’m trying to adjust the margins of the first few posts using .hentry {margin…}

Unfortunately, no matter how small I set the margin, it is moving my fourth post on the homepage below the first three. I would like to keep them all on the same line, as they are when the margin isn’t there.

Any suggestions?

I’m currently playing around with a small WP install to try and build a static site. Coming from WP.com, I had been able to set a logo with this particular theme, yet somehow I am unable to on the self-hosted version? There seems to be a trace of where the logo function may have existed e.g. <?php boardwalk_the_site_logo(); ?>, but otherwise I have to resort to the theme editor to manually add in an for a logo.

Any proper way to insert a graphic logo in place of the Blog Title?

i’m using Boardwalk Version 1.0.11.

In the frontpage, where i have 5 Menupoints, i got 6 H1-Tags (1 from the Page-Title, and 5 from the Side-Menu).

Why are nobody of the theme-producers add only one h1-tag??? (Is a valid theme a premium thing?)

Hi. I have a strange problem that was not detected until I launched the site. My blog is cafemestalla.com and is collaborative.

We can not preview pages, the result is always a blank screen. The posts preview does work, although sometimes I also have weird things like blank once published, which have resolved removing all text formatting. But pages preview don’t work.

With any other theme of default WP the preview it works perfectly. And it’s not a problem of my child theme because the original Baordwalk does not preview pages either.

I searched for some solution out there and I just found something related to the permalinks that has not worked.

Can you help me?

Hi. I’m testing to use Boardwalk theme in my blog, but after some time using it think it might be better to reduce the number of posts in the main page, 4 or 5 as much, to prevent lateral scroll to do uncomfortable. Can you tell me how to edit this to test?

I would like to exclude a specific page from my main index loop without having to modify the index.php file.

In other words, I need a function for the child-theme functions file that would exclude a specific page ID from the index loop.

Hello! I’m a kind of newbie on wordpress. I’m working on a child theme, so I made lot of changes to the standard theme.
Now in HP I don’t have posts, but 5 pages. 5, instead of 4 pages, so this is the code i used

width: 100% !important;
}
.blog .hentry{
width: 20% !important;
}

The problem is that when i look it on mobile, I still have 5 pages in vertical, instead of the horizontal lines i can see in the demo…
Lines are so narrow that photos and copy aren’t visible.

Any idea of out to fix it?
