I’m a user of the Blockpress theme and really appreciate its features. However, I would like to submit a request regarding the activation of some options.

Currently, the preloader, table of contents (TOC), and progress bar features do not seem to apply to taxonomy pages and custom post types (CPT). Would it be possible to add an option to enable these features on these content types? This would greatly enhance the user experience on my site.

I am setting up a multivendor store using Woocommerce and WCFM, using the FSE Blockpress Theme. The only problem I have is that header and footer are not visibile on same pages generated by the plugin WCFM ( like store manager page and vendors page) but is replaced by a default Header with “site name” and a generic footer with “site is proudly powered by WordPress“. I had the same problem on the WCFM Membership page, that I solved by inserting a simple snippet

I was wondering if there was a similar solution, maybe changing “membership” from the above snippet to something else to make the other pages display correctly, I tried different combinations without success, like store_manager or store-list to see if it would work but nothing.

The problem I think is that the plugin automatically loads the header and footer .php files, that are not present in blockthemes.

I wrote to the WCFM customer care and they confirmed that the plugin is not yet compatible with block themes and another wordpress customer service told me the solution would be to modify directly a template but it would be overly complicated, the best solution is a classic theme.

Anybody with the same problem or a possible fix? Sorry but I am a beginner and the more I study the more I find out how much I don t know ?? thanks and have a nice day!

When I have the preloader enabled on a site that uses Blockpress as the theme, when I place a map on the page and then visit the saved page, all it shows is the preloader.

Observation: if I manually remove the preloader in the browser’s developer console, I can see that the map did load.

I really like BlockPress and saw a good writeup on https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-full-site-editing-themes/. I was wondering if there is a way to import or start with the same look as the demo site? With the purple gradient, the text animation etc?

When I search for MotionBlocks or Blockpress in the WordPress theme directory, this theme doesn’t show up. Downloads also seem to have dropped to almost zero. I could only find this page via Google search. What’s the reason for that?

Hello, I’m having a problem removing the underline ON HOVER in the navigation menu. I’ve tried adding in CSS:

But to no avail. Is there any workaround on this?

I have some questions for you. I have installed wordpress and your Blockpress template with greenshift. I wanted to know where the page templates are saved?

I am asking this because I can see them from greenshift and I can also download the xml. Pero creating the Child Theme with “Child Theme Configurator” correctly I can’t see the main theme contents but only the “Demo” ones. What can I do?

I tried to find a setting for the counddown to only display days and/or days/hours but didn’t find it. I feel that it should be there somewhere, if so please point me to it. (Hiding via css would be possible but a bit fiddly.)

PS. When I search for Blockpress on the WordPress theme page it doesn’t show up. I tried different brwsers to the same effect. You might want to double check…

With the Blockpress theme at wp-admin, when I select Appearance > Editor, the Design sidebar is shown with selections for Navigation, Templates and template Parts.

I have several Navigation blocks.

The Navigation selection shows the only the contents of one of the navigation blocks. I would have expected a list of the configured navigation blocks to be displayed.

Is this by design?

I need help getting a sidebar to show on this page (/ any lessons).

1. This is a brand new, work-in-progress lesson, testing content types etc. – the actual page is set to ‘private’, I’ve cloned it and set it ‘public’ to help with troubleshooting, while I continue work on the actual lesson.
2. I previously used the Cosmos WP theme and had no problem getting sidebars to show on LifterLMS lessons. I haven’t yet tested but I don’t believe this is limited to these lessons. I can test if necessary.
3. The sidebar wouldn’t display so I installed the Custom Sidebar plugin and overrode the default sidebar for LifterLMS lessons but this also didn’t work.
4. I created a new page template with two columns (70/30 split) and as expected, I cannot edit the smaller column in the normal block editor (assuming reserved for the sidebar) – but I can add content directly in the template – obviously, I do not want to create a new page template per lesson.
5. Due to my customised page template, I now have the exact layout / appearance I want for my lessons, but I need the sidebar to display.

Any suggestions? I don’t think the LifterLMS-specific documentation on this is relevant because A) I believe this is a theme-specific issue, which I’m hoping someone can resolve (or ideally, confirm I have missed something very obvious – yes, I have selected the correct sidebar when editing my lessons!) and B) I need to be able to set up multiple sidebars with different content for each lesson so regardless of fault, I need the resolution to be something which allows me to use multiple sidebars with the BlockPress theme.

Any advice on resolving?

Alternatively; anyone else successfully using sidebars with BlockPress? Any tips on what template you’re using / settings you chose?

I installed Blockpress and everything works, except:

The Blockpress-Dashboard is not loading. On /wp-admin/admin.php?page=blockpress_dashboard it is stuck on “Getting started” Block with animation.

It is a fresh installation of WordPress with hardly any plugins installed / active. Even with all plugins deactivated it does not load…

Script Blocker is deactivated… Using Vivaldi Browser. Also tried Chrome (with few Browser Extensions), same thing

Any ideas?

Currently, i can’t figure out how to set (or optimize) the title-tag for the homepage. I use the Yoast plugin, which might override settings, but can’t figure out how to do this in the Appearance -> editor as well. Any ideas?

I opened an Issue with forminator support who were able to reproduce this issue on the Blockpress theme.

I am using the Blockpress Theme Version 1.2.1 on WordPress Version 6.1.1. Forminator Add-in Version 1.22.1

Issue Summary:

I have Forminator plugin installed and a form setup.

I am able to drag the Forminator block onto the editor and select which form I would like to display. Seen in the image below.

After I select what form I would like to display the form block disappears. And I’m left with empty space. I can sometimes click around and find the form block collapsed into a single line (see image below), but other than that it is gone.

Despite the form disappearing in the editor, it somehow appears when I navigate to the website preview.

The last quirk When editing other pages and not the homepage, I am able to see the Forminator form, just not on the homepage editor (Image Below)

I’m trying to figure out how to have a site logo in the header so that the navigation is sticky but the large logo gets hidden when the user scrolls (preferably replaced by text).

I understand there are numerours ways to achieve this but I’m looking for what would be the best practice using blockpress.

Perhaps the solution is there but I just failed to find it.

WPML sees the front page template in the beta editor as one single page, and I cannot translate that page into two different languages. Any time I edit that page, it overwrites the current language. All the resources have been translated, however, when you flip between the language switcher, it will always use the language on the front page. Can you advise? Why does the front page between the languages only use that one template?

Is it possible to disable the beta editor on the blockpress theme editor? It’s been causing some problems. So, I’m looking to disable it entirely – how do you go about that?

When I load a page containing a query loop of posts, the loop does not load/show on mobile. but is fine on desktop

This seems to happen when the “items per page” is set to 6 or more in a grid, see examples, set at 3 and 9 posts:

OBJECTIVE: manually edit “page-bgtitle.html” to remove page title and cover block as i want to have different cover blocks under the transparent header.
WP 6.1.1
Gutenberg: also tried latest plugin version ON and OFF

Not possible or sensible to try to detail all my observations on editing Page Templates. Whether i create new page or edit “page-bgtitle.html” there’s problems.

IS IT POSSIBLE to removed the cover block (purple bit)?
AGAIN: I think need to leave the ‘invisible’ post title block or there’s big problems.

AWESOME PROGRESS doing 8 or 10 hours a day:-) with WordPress and BLOCKPRESS.

When ever I copy a template’s HTML and then try to edit that in the editor I have issues. Mostly me of course.

Can we have a Page Template WITH transparent header though WITHOUT the cover block that has/forces the page title as “post-title” block.

BASICALLY trying to get my other PAGES to be functional like the Frontpage is

ALL MY PAGES need to be like this: using a page template
HEADER (transparent) though without the cover/post-title block
My blocks here
FOOTER (default)

I’d be happy to try to edit the included “page template with transparent header” though i do run into issues when editing the included template.
It’s my inexperience and/or Gutenberg quirks almost certainly.

I removed ALL my customization an went back to fresh copies of templates and parts. I followed the video (link below) VERY slowly.

I think part of my problem is that i may need “Inherit Default Layout”
to get the frontpage header/foot (transparent) to ~>show on ALL other pages. All other pages have the non transparent header.

After a lot of thinking I decided to use ONLY Pages, I do NOT use Posts at all. There are many tutorials about posts of course on blockpresswp.com.

Does anyone know where “Inherit Default Layout” is, and maybe why i can’t work like the tutorial.

I see only “Inner blocks use content width” toggle, for all blocks below TRANSPARENT HEADER on Front Page in all blocks “LAYOUT” option(s).

It seems that when reusable blocks are used in a post, extra blank space is displayed. This creates broken alignments. Please fix it.

So, i swap the header for transparent as in the tutorial (all site-name and links text disappears though)

Then I guess I stop the transparent header from being sticky by removing the position-absolute etc.

Can anyone explain how i’d get a big picture to cover the navigation JUST LIKE blockpresswp.com ??

TOPLINE: custom footer not showing on all posts and pages. showing only on frontpage.

Hi! having an incredible time going deeper in BLOCKPRESS FSE theme. I can never go back to convoluted ‘classic’ themes.

QUICK QUESTION: a limitation/quirk of Gutenberg? THAT, i managed to create a custom template part (a simplified version of default footer) – it shows in my “template parts” list AND i managed to get it to replace the FOOTER (area in all notice areas) on the Frontpage.

YET: the default footer still shows on ALL other pages and posts!

AS AN UNRELATED COMMENT: I’ve also successfully created a new template (.html) for single.html which works great (i wanted to remove page title)

SUCH a great time with BLOCKPRESS.

OK, so the ONLY question here is…

what is the workaround, or fix for what I do not yet know ~~>>

NEED TO GET MY TEMPLATE PART (custom footer) to automatically show on ALL posts pages and NOT JUST the frontpage?

For the past week – I’ve be so puzzled.
turns out that having installed (for example) kadence starter theme/templates
can cause many a weirdness to, in my view,
GROUND-BREAKING “best there is FSE theme” BLOCKPRESS

Sorry I can’t go long here. Though I’ll never use an old-style theme again.
Going deep with BLOCKPRESS has been So incredible.
I really dug around and found where all the greenshift code can be added in for animating.
AND< that you can delete everything on the “frontpage” and yet all the full blocks are still available.
STUDYING Full Site Editing some is REALLY rewarding.
Otherwise it might all seem too puzzling. (in my view that is)
THIS IS THE FUTURE… obviously!
