I’m helping an artist friend with their website and we’re having some issues with the header navigation color sometimes being set wrong (eg, being set to black when it should be white, or vice-versa).
It seems that there is a Javascript that tries to detect whether there is a light or dark image (eg, Featured Image) and then it adjusts the header navigation coloring accordingly. On some pages this works fine. But we have several pages where it chooses wrong.
This seems very difficult to troubleshoot, though I will give examples in case you can spot an easy solution. But I’m also wondering if there is any built-in way to force a particular color for the header/nav on a given page?
On the home page sometimes it chooses white text (which is the correct choice) and sometimes it chooses black (which is very difficult to see.
On the portfolio page it chooses white when black would be better (you can’t hardly see the page title).
On the “fragmented” page it chooses black text on a black background, making the header/nav completely invisible.
Note that we’re using a child theme, though in theory that shouldn’t make any difference.

Issue: If a post or a page has exactly one comment, the comments-title shows “1 Comments” (note the “s” in “Comments”).
Cause:
comments.php Line 28
$count = get_comments_number();
The function get_comments_number() returns a numeric string.
As a result, on Line 30:
if ( 1 === $count ) {
returns false (a type mismatch) and runs the code in } else { (L32-34) instead.
Note: After fixing the type mismtach above, it will return true on Line 30 (as it should). But this time, the following code on Line 31:
esc_html__( 'One Comment', 'block-lite' );
returns a string with a bunch of white-space (not empty, but just with white-space). Maybe on Line 31, it’s supposed to be esc_html_e and not esc_html__ (?).

I am attempting to set up a WooCommerce site within the Lite Block Organic theme and it is coming up odd. Is there a way anyone can help me reposition the database? WordPress.com sent me to your support site, in the hopes that the developer. The initial card database looks okay when someone clicks on a tag word (in the tag cloud), the rows get messed up they are sporadically placed (two in one row then one in the next, some are on the right, some are on the left) https://argentsagatcg.com/product-category/intro-deck/.
Is there a way we can get this resituated? We are in a time crunch as to getting the website up, and once we do, I’ll be creating my own database, however, if this database works well, then I’d prefer not to have to rewrite it completely.

I use the Block Lite theme, version 1.1.5, it’s the standard version with no upgrades.
When I customise Site Identity, I can upload a logo but it does not display.
The Tagline also does not display.
It does however show the Site Title.
It also uploads and shows the Site Icon.
Running WP version 5.0.4.

I noticed that the text can be either white or black, depending perhaps on what the app thinks the photo needs?
Often the text is not illegible, but invisible.
It is almost always waaay too small when it comes to the title.
Is there a csa for that?

When viewing this link (https://arcterex.net/blog/archives/2019/02/masai-mara-photography.html) on an ipad the feature image doesn’t work properly. It appears completely stretched and not visible at all. On the ipad the /blog view (where all the posts show up) works just fine, and the feature image in the post looks great on both the iPhone and desktop.

I was hoping to make the header image on the main page and in the blog posts be a little darker. Something like the post-navigation / next-post images on the bottom of the blog posts. Looks like it might be a background color value with a .4 opacity, but I’m not sure how to apply that to these headers. Any suggestions?

I found a couple plugins that do a good job of removing the date and meta, but on this theme that leaves the words “Posted on by” under the title. First of all, thanks for this wonderful theme. I looked high and low, paid and free, looking for a simple theme with a header up top and a page-filling gallery of images below. So excited to find Block Lite.
In starting to set it up, I ran into a problem – first testing it out on an old, seldom-used domain, and then on another – where I couldn’t change the header image under Header Media. It’s stuck using the suggested header, with the view of the cliffs. This is when Homepage Settings is set to “your latest posts.” In “static page” mode, it seems not to be an issue.
In preparing to post about this I may have found a workaround. In my second domain I was in “your latest posts” mode and switched to static page mode to see if it worked in that case. The static page on the second domain wasn’t set up correctly so I couldn’t tell, and decided to switch back to latest-posts mode. At that point my header images suddenly appeared.
So I seem to be able to get by with the workaround, but only figured it out by accident. Probably still worth a real fix. ??

I have a huge problem with setting up an video on a main page of theme.
Everything like images works perfect, except video.
When im trying to add video (with suitable resolution, size etc.) it is moving to the right side of main page, left becomes white. Like on the image:

Hi for some reason, I am trying to set the homepage, to have a big image (the same of the example) or ideo as background, but it will not show for some reason!
It only shows in the blog.

the allignment option from Gutenberg does only work for gallery’s and not for single images. When I use an option the image shifts full left on the screen. That’s also the case with Flickr embeds. The link to the page is an example.
]]>When I first open two websites using this Theme, the Header’s Menu Text Color (white) seems to render slower than normal.
Maybe it’s one on the plugins I’m using…not sure.
I would be interested in knowing if anyone else using this theme, has a similar circumstance.
(Not a big issue…I still like the theme.)
