]]>I am keen to add a colour logo and the site name and tagline but I have two challenges:
1. the logo is only 500×500 – can I make it bigger ?
2. When I add the logo – it removes the site title and tag line – can I have both ?
I am using Baskerville 2 and trying to use the Instrument Serif font. The font will show on the Edit Page screen, but will not reflect on the pages themselves. Are certain fonts limited to certain themes, or am I doing something wrong? There have been quite a bit of changes since the last time I used WordPress and I’m having a difficult time catching up.

Hello, I am using the Baskerville 2 theme on my self hosted page and I am almost done customizing and setting up my blog. Now I tried writing my first post, but whenever I create one, it shows the full post on every page, even my home page.
I tagged the box under reading -> for each post in a feed include excerpt, but it doesn’t do anything. I have found someone with a similar issue but no real solution.
I don’t mind modifying the theme either, if someone has a solution to this I would be happy as I don’t really want to pick another theme and start from zero.

Since I am using Baskerville version 2.1.4 (due to the dependence on Cyrillic fonts), I have a question: can I somehow manually fix the error that was discovered by the user with the nickname shawfactor? It is important for me to stay on version 2.1.4 of the template (alas, because of the fonts).

]]>I’m using two widgets on the start page to display a list of the latest blog posts and the blog post categories. For both lists a strange symbol (>>) with a green color will be used. If I change the list-style attribute for the relevant classes to square or something else new symbols will be added and do not replace the original symbols.
I would like to replace or supress the symbol, at least I would like to change the color of the symbol.
Any help is appreciated.

I’m managing a friends site, and want the main site/page to show posts but only a few lines of each and then present the visitor with a link “Continue reading” etc. In Reading Settings, it is set to excerpt, but that doesn’t do anything.
]]>Hello, I am trying to add the social media icon buttons to my main page: whether it’s underneath my top tagline, in my primary menu, or at the bottom in the footer. I cannot figure out how. When I choose a block in the footer for example, and choose Instagram, it is only letting me embed the URL, and it’s showing up as the actual URL instead of the Instagram icon button.

In the Changelog, in the “readme.txt” file, I see the line:
Switched from the Google Fonts CDN to font files included in the theme folder.
I’ve read the latest community advice, and thank you for making such a quick, important, and difficult (for us users) fix to the theme code, but now I’m concerned about the display of fonts on the site:

I’m currently building off the Baskerville-2 theme for one of my sites. What I did was download all the files in the theme from https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2/ and then uploaded these files to a new child theme on wordpress.com (which is my host).
I then activated this child theme and am currently trying to modify certain parts of this. I have been able to update the header and footer by modifying footer.php and header.php directly in the wordpress.com Theme File Editor.
However, when I try to update certain files like content-author.php with something random like:

The “insert custom link to the menu” does not show a link for the index page in the header navigation. The menu accepts it, but it does not show on the index page.
I’ve tried various workarounds for this but so far nothing has worked.
I decided to create a version of the banner with a link, and now I have short code for a version of the banner with a hotspot and link back to the home page.
I was able to successful insert this into the footer widget as you can see at the bottom of the page.
However, can’t figure out how to insert the shortcode to replace the existing banner image in the header.
Anyone have an idea?

]]>I have created a website with a child theme (theme Baskerville) and created a new loop in it. I want to show only posts of a certain category on one page. The loop also works. However, the cards are displayed differently than on the blog or home page. In my loop the cards are stretched and the meta area seems to be broken. It took me a very long time to figure out that the body class of the page also carries single and single-post. if I delete these classes, the page looks very good; if the classes remain in the body, the page looks broken. why are the single and single-post classes carried in the body of the page? How can i delete these classes?
]]>I have embedded a Jupyter notebook generated html in a wordpress page. As you can see everything works fine except there are bits of text in the code-blocks which appear in white color (in the original notebook or if I open the html file in my browser they are in black color) and in light background appear as if the code is missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
