I updated my website to the newest version of wordpress 6.5.5, updated Author Writer to v 2.2, and updated my plugins. However it seems the homepage slider no longer works. Instead of a slider I get a massive parchment-looking image in its place (shown below).
Additionally, no matter what I do, I cannot turn off the parchment image. It remains regardless of what options I attempt to change.
Troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken:
Hoping for any assistance in getting the slider to work again, or at least being able to remove the massive block of parchment so that at least content is above the fold.
Thanks!
Sir or ma’am, I currently use the Author Writer template for my website. Today, I logged on to post a new blog and when I tried to post the blog, the message I received was that there was a critical error. I noted that YOAST let me know that WordPress moved forward and released a new version. (Yhea!) Being a total web novice, I am wondering if the update my cause issues with the Author Writer template? If so, is there a work around or should I seek a new template to use? Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to help me with this issue. V/R Michael
