how to remove Heading and site description section form homepage
]]>Exactly as the title said. When I updated the plugins I use, the home page slideshow stopped working.

]]>I’m using the AMDHAS theme for a professional website, and I do not want to have comments accessible on any page except for the actual blog page.
I am able to remove them from the landing page, but I can’t figure out how to get rid of them on my other pages.

]]>I am setting up a website with AMDHAS theme, which has many options for customisation. I am struggling with several of them.
1) The landing page, as a static page, is great, but where is the link to it? If I create a new page called Home, and click on that in the menu, I get the new blank page, not my landing page.
2) No matter what changes I make to font sizes in the Menu Options, nothing changes.
3) Is it possible to have a sidebar with different content , or different widgets, on different pages?

]]>This feels like it should be easy, so maybe I’m maybe missing something obvious. I’m helping someone build a website, and initially it was in a blog format with a non-static homepage. Now he wants it to be a regular website format with a static homepage and he wants the homepage to look like the Homepage Default style for this theme. I’ve switched everything over and designated the home page and I have the default style selected in Theme Options, but his home page still has the style of one of the subpages, and I’m not sure how to fix that. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I chose the Homepage grid with excerpt and everything works, but both in the slider and in the thumbnails below only the title and text from posts appear. I tried and modified my posts putting all pictures at the top, but nothing changes. The homepage display too much text and no image. I can’t go forward with this. Any tip?

I am using an image for the header background but notice that on different screens the image sometimes fills across the screen and sometimes doesn’t. Is there an optimum size for the image?

2. I also made CSS changes and they are not going through. I made a child theme, using the method I have used for many themes.
Child theme contains – style.css, rtl.css, header.php, functions.php, footer.php, images folder. In header.php of the child theme, I changed the get template uri to get stylesheet uri.
What am I doing wrong?

How can I customize number of footer widgets with default layout. For example can I set 3 footer widgets (in a row)? The default number is 2.
BTW in widgets settings there are 3 footer widgets (left, midle and right), but seems it ignores left widget.

the style.css from my amdhas-child-theme will not be included. Instead there is only the parent-style in header…
I found out, that for the link the get_template_directory_uri() is using, rather than get_stylesheet_directory_uri().
Workaround
Go to
amdhas/includes/amdhas-settings.php
and replace
get_template_directory_uri()
with:
get_stylesheet_directory_uri()
Note: This Workaround fails, if you update the parent. In this case you have to replace the above again.

for some reason, the top menu only resolves to a point, and then it disappears from the screen. The bottom menu resolves down to the smallest screen size.
