I have recently decided to set the featured image for each blog post instead of inserting images in my blog post. However after I set featured images for few blog posts, I noticed that the featured images do not appear on the latest post page (i.e my blog page) but appear only on the single blog post.

How can I make featured images to also appear on the latest post page?

I would like the column links to open in a new tab. Can you show me where to edit the code or is there a CSS I can use.

How can I keep the Alexandria theme homepage with the slider but remove the blog posts from it and instead set another page in the site to show the blog pages. When I use the standard option to set a homepage and separate blog page my slider page disappears and there is no obvious option to choose it. When I look at example images on the theme website none of them show the blog on the homepage so I’m wondering if I’m missing something. I am currently using the free version.

The link I have given shows the current site where the map is showing OK. I am actually re-building the site and can’t give you access to see it, but the footer map on the new site is not showing up.

Maps work on my pages so I know API is good, but in the footer, it just shows as the shortcode [put_wpgm id=1] instead of the actual map.

On my old site there is nothing in that section on the back end, so I’m wondering if I did a workaround on the original site, but I can’t remember what I did.

Would appreciate any input.

Has anyone discovered a workaround for the Alexandria Bron blog formatting issues?

For example, hitting the ‘Enter’ key might result in 1/2 page of space being entered and some text doesn’t appear on the post at all. You can’t simply type and hit the ‘Enter’ key and expect consistency in the paragraph spacing. This theme does not support WYSIWYG and it also doesn’t support number bullets, read more, etc. I like the look of the theme, but it doesn’t appear to be tested very well.

I’ve started a new site earlier this week, and Alexandria was initially at v2.4.6. After upgrading to v2.4.7, the Skin selection I had set in the Tycoon child theme stopped working and Tycoon reverted back to the default Alexandria skin. Selecting any skin had no effect.

No PHP errors in the markup, nor messages in the JavaScript console, and nothing appears to be broken otherwise.

Downgrading back to v2.4.6 fixed the problem.

Tycoon is (and has been) at latest version, 1.0.2. I posted an issue in the Tycoon theme with a link back to this one in case someone else is looking for help.

I just upgraded to the latest Alexandria theme 2.4.6 and it broke my website. I am also using Theme Alley’s “Bron” child theme. My website is no longer functioning. After the upgrade I get the following error message when trying to access my website https://extraordinarytrading.com

I’m trying to get the page header to not display on my subpages. I go to Header/Slider Options->Header ON/OFF Settings and set the header ON for the home page and OFF for every other type of page. The problem is that my header continues to appear on every page.

Here’s the weird part that makes me suspect a bug: I display the subpage that has my header incorrectly displayed and click on “Customize” in my WordPress administrative menu and I’m thrown into customizing the page with the page displayed correctly; namely, without the header.

How do I get the free Alexandria theme (up-to-date) to do what I tell it?

Hi. The BizOne theme option has a home page with 3 headings across the middle of the home page. Each heading features a link to another page. I do not want to link each of these heading to another page. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how I might be able to remove/disable the links from these heading.

1. Please can you help me with removing page titles on the pages.

2. I only want to the header to show on the homapage not the other pages to.

If I put line 47 of customizer.php between “/* … */”, header works well in customization mode.

Every single page of our site has all of the sudden included our archives into the footer creating a massive scroll. I spoke with Bluehost Support on this matter and we were only able to confirm that this is happening within the Alexandria theme. It was not there for the 1st 3 years of the site and all of the sudden appears as such. It appears to have bbe done manually, however, everyone seems convinced they did not manually touch anything.

How can this be corrected?

New to the code world and just getting my head around wordpress but i have had to come up with an urgent website to register tournaments on.

All is fine however i really need to have our logo on the home page – easy you say – i think not.

I have tried every setting, option and recreation of a header however nothing changes. Is this a glitch?

Also i want just the template as the landing page (home) however scrolling down i dont want it to say home at the bottom.

How do i fix this? Its very plain for the moment but needed to get something up and running.

Hi – we can not get any sliders under Header Settings to work on this theme. The only one that works is Header One. We can’t find an error anywhere. Please help.

I just installed SEO Doctor, which is an SEO diagnostic tool that is an add-on for Firefox. When testing it on a page for one of my blog posts, it indicated I had 8 H1 tags and suggested that I should have only one. As I don’t know a whole lot about code, I must admit I’m a little confused. As far as I know, the only H1 tag I have in the page I tested, which is a blog post, is the title. Everything else is either H2 tags or regular text.
