My wife is using Affinity purely for the Web presence of a podcast that is hosted on Soundcloud.

Integration of Google podcasts requires certain links to be on the Web site and in the RSS feed from Soundcloud.

Currently the site has three sets of RSS links in the code of the home page – for example <link rel=”alternate” type=”application/rss+xml” title=”Voices of the Ancestors Podcast » Comments Feed” href=”https://voicesoftheancestors.co.uk/comments/feed&#8221; /> and I understand these are to feed posts, comment etc if WP was being used as a blog (or to source the podcast episodes)

I may need to remove these “standard” RSS links, where do I find them?

Google wishes to see a link in the home page to the Soundcloud RSS which we have inserted but I don’t know how multiple definitions will interact.

Here’s the “correct” RSS link we edited into the Html of the front page

Hi,

Somehow, when using the [testimonials] shortcode in a front page Panel, that panel’s scroll menu (on the left) will use the home page title instead of the panel page title.

On the submitted client site, see the fifth menu item on the right showing “Secrétariat indépendant externalisé” instead of the expected “Avis clients”.

This happens to any scroll menu item where I add the testimonials shortcode to the corresponding panel page. I have not tested with the projects shortcode but other shortcodes like [contact-form] cause no issues.

Hi! I am using this theme to make a wedding website for a friend. Is there a way to replace the header image on the homepage with a slider? Are there any slider plugins that work well with this theme?

I have set my website using the Affinity theme, really nice looking theme !
I am now translating my website using the “Polylang” plugin to have it multilingual.

I have trouble with the static front page and the “panels” on this front page. Even though each panel (=page in backend) is translated and linked to its translation, only the first language panels are displayed, whatever language is chosen. It seems like the theme is ignoring the translation for these panels.

Have anyone been able to have a multilingual site using this theme ? If yes, with which multilang plugin ?

I have made an Affinity child theme with only very minor modifications. Most things are working fine, but archive pages are not displaying a nav menu. navigation-top.php is found but <?php wp_nav_menu( array( ‘theme_location’ => ‘top’, ‘menu_id’ => ‘top-menu’ ) ); ?> has no effect.

When i go to update a page i get this message
“updating failed”

When I update my child theme it says
“Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over https://FTP.&#8221;

I can’t add images to envira gallery or update some plugins.

It is defs a problem with the theme because when I use another theme everything works fine.

Any ideas?!

Hi there,

I am using the affinity theme and when my site is viewed on mobile or tablet the logo sits below the header image.

The logo is white and the site background is white so it just looks like there is a huge white space in the page when viewed on mobile.

Is there any way of either changing the logo to sit over the header image on mobile. Or changing the logo so that it isn’t shown or is shown in black when viewed on mobile or tablet.

Hi there!

I’ve set a static front page with some “panels” of content (which are also pages). I’m using Polylang and I’ve created pages with the second language translations (2 languages: Italian and Spanish). When I switch from the first language to the second one, panels in the front pages are not translated. The static page content change correctly, the panels’ content does not. It seems like panels are “valid” only for one language.

Is it possible that Affinity Theme isn’t 100% multilingual? Or there any possibility to have panels in static front pages shown in the corresponding language?

I’d really appreciate any help, because I can’t really find a solution ??

I would like to edit the footer credits.
Simply using the argument display:none in CSS extras it is not what i would like to achieve.
PROUDLY POWERED BY WORDPRESS ? THEME: AFFINITY BY AUTOMATTIC.
I managed to edit the proudly powered by wordpress but can’t delete that central symbol and the theme part.
Any suggestions?
Any custom CSS i can use?

I am using the affinity theme for the first time and designing a one page scroll down website.

I’ve set the ‘about us’ as my ‘homepage’ in the ‘customize-homepage settings’ section. For some reason when I scroll down the site ‘about us’ shows up twice. I choose not to have an actual homepage or blog on this website. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this is happening?

Hello, I’m having issues with receiving comments. I know for a fact 3 people commented on the link I provided, but the comments are nowhere to be found. They’re not showing up in Spam, Trash or Pending.

Hi, I have issues with the header pictures. Some work, some don’t. I tried pictures i shot myself and stock pictures, but there seems no logic in the problem, as pictures from either group either work or not.

any ideas to solve this or what images i should use?

Can I not use any shadowing effect on the header images? Because the images I use contains our company’s logo and I want them to display as it is…Otherwise I struggle where to put my logo on this theme…

The panel navigation is light-gray and almost impossible to see with a white background.
How can I change this color?

I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make the content of my blog posts much wider, instead of so narrow as the currently are on the page. I tried the previous CSS code posted about 6 months ago, but it doesn’t work. Can someone help please?

I’m using Affinity panels to create a long one-page homepage.
The height of the featured images between panels is so high that it takes more than my entire screen height.
Is there a way to adjust the featured images height?

Also the links in the floating menu on the right send to targets that are placed at the top of the images.
Is there a way to point to the top of the text panels instead?

I am using affinity with a single-page design and sub-pages placed as panels on the home page. I would like to use the top menu to scroll to different pages. So far the furthest I could get is to use “Custom links” on the top menu with #panel1 #panel2 etc. links, but there are two problems with this:
– If I edit the panel/page name, I have to manually change the Custom links in the menu. As I use multi-language, it makes it even harder to maintain.
– It just “jumps” to the desired section and I would like it to scroll

Basically I want my top menu to work like the right menu on https://affinitydemo.wordpress.com/ (little white diamonds on the right).

I googled quite a bit to figure it out, not successful though.

I am almost sure that I am missing the obvious – but I do not seem to be able to change the color of the mobile menu font to save my life (even though changing the size, weight or other features is no problem.
This is the CSS I am trying:

Most customizations in my child theme worked smoothly so far, and I have also managed to replace the posts page BG image. But how can I change the title to “Aktuelles” instead of the (general) site description ? Is this possible in functions.php ?

The header for my posts page is the same as my homepage, but I would like to change it. I’m able to change all other headers on the site via “featured image”, but I cannot do this with the posts page for some reason. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

I’ve been having issues with blog comments going straight to the trash. I’ve removed all spam plug-ins, and under Discussion settings, I don’t have anything marked for moderation. I’ve already did a search about this topic, but none of them looked resolved. Please help!

I would like to change the header title on all single blog posts from the default blog to “The Safewhere Identity Blog”. I can only see that I have the option of changing the header title to the blog post title. How can I do this?

I have a problem with the main menu when viewing the website in Google Chrome (and only in Chrome) where it shows some space between the main menu line and the drop down menu underneath + the drop down menu is not shown as full screen.
The menu is set to: Fullscreen navigation, Main navigation

Is there anything to do to solve this?
