Hello, for some reason the slider does not work

Going to theme / slider, I have added images 1600×400 but does not show up

Only 1 image displayed, dont understand where it is specified as part of the slider ?

Maybe code of front page has been broken, how can I fix it ? Thanks a lot

Is there a way to change the drop down from the navigation menu so that it is semi-transparent?

Currently, the one I have is white. It displays a large white box in front of the header image and it would be preferable to allow some transparency.

I recently created a page which displays several “product ad widgets” from Avantlink, along with text about each.

In the editor the titles and images appear centered. However, on the published page the images move left while the titles and links remain centered.

I’ve contacted Avantlink because I thought the widget was the problem, but they feel it lies with WordPress. When creating the widget, no parameters are specified. I am provided a code to place in an html block.

I have tried adding <center>, <div align=“center”> and several similar things. I have also tried using some CSS code, but nothing has helped move the images center.

How can I accomplish this?

With the recent WordPress update (5.3), all of the captions underneath the images have moved left and changed to “normal” font. If I switch to the twenty seven theme the captions are centered and have a different font (which is what I want).

Additionally, when I am inside the dashboard writing an article I notice the headings are bold and large. However, when I publish the article the headings do not look the same live. The headings seem to be the same as the content within the paragraph, only slightly larger. I’m not sure if that one is related to the theme or not.

Is there an easy way to change these issues in the CSS? I found a couple of codes provided to people who have the same issue with other themes, but they did not work for the adventurous theme.

To put it simply:

1). How do I move all captions center and change size/font site wide?
2). The headings in dashboard do not match those in the live articles. Can I correct this, or make them bolder by adding additional CSS?

Hi,I′m a problem, change the url in general settings and now I can′t enter the control panel, help me plise!

For some reason all of my text and some of my images have these grey pulsing highlight boxes surrounding them. Plus my text and widget column changed from centered to justify left. I have tried to get rid of these changes without success. https://stevenackerman.ctpsurfaholics.com/

These boxes are very annoying and I want them gone! Plus, I want my text area back to center!

I did not make any changes to cause this problem.

Upgraded my one site to the latest, and lost it. Then installed the latest version to a new wordpress and it as well does not have “theme options”?

I’m not sure where it went? anyone else?

it is difficult to update homepage because there is no page layout with slider, text, images taken from media. We did it in html in /theme/adventurous which is not efficient

any change in picture for instance, need to change html file and cut and past image path
would prefer to use wp tools to upload an image from media

am i wrong in updating that template that way ?

The site description under the site name disappeared after updating the theme to 2.2.2 version.
I’m using a child theme but changed nothing related to the site description.

I am running the latest free Adventurous theme on https://www.fishingcatcambodia.org/ .

I have selected ‘Static front page’ in Settings but underneath the Front page drop down is only one option: ‘Blog’. I would like ‘Home’ to be recognised as the Front page (permalink https://www.fishingcatcambodia.org/?page_id=406&preview=true), with Posts displaying only on the Blog page as per settings, not on the Front page as at present.

Also I was wondering how to create “pretty” permalinks such as https://www.fishingcatcambodia.org/home

which is displayed as the permalink when editing the Home page rather than the above- I have selected ‘Post name’ in Permalink settings already.

On my home page I have featured images that link to the different topics on my blog. You will see in the link below, that the responsive design sometimes leads to the images being different sizes. For example, two of the featured images will be 100×100 and the other two 150×150.

How do I ensure that these images are ALWAYS the same proportional size, no matter the screen size?

I was using theme adventurous and wanted to get promotion headline field translated using plugin qTranslate X.

I changed original adventurous-promotion-headlines.php
from:

$adventurous_homepage_headline .= '<h2>' . $homepage_headline . '</h2>';
to:

$adventurous_homepage_headline .= '<h2>' . sprintf( __('%s', 'adventurous' ), $homepage_headline ) . '</h2>';

And used [:en]English[:zh]中文 in the field. Seems no use.

I changed most colors in the .css file (through Editor in WordPress) and if I check my website (www.vakantieorkestadhoc.nl) all the colors have changed correctly (now red, don’t know the precise #……). However, if I check the website on my Samsung Galaxy S6 (Android) the color is green! That is the original color from this theme, but I thought I changed that!

Is there a extra style.css for the mobile version that I missed?

I found instructions for the TwentyTen theme for rigging your CSS and Functions to allow for whatever size header image you want and skip the cropping.
How can I do this, or something to the same effect, with Adventurous? I don’t want to use header text and I want my header image to be pretty mammoth.

Any suggestions appreciated! Let’s have a learning experience, shall we?

I just took a look in the source code. In file inc/adventurous-functions.php starting at line 79 you are enqueueing some extra js/css when the request comes from an IE.

This will not work together with a server side caching plugin like wp super cache or cachify. May I like to suggest to use conditional comments instead?

I’ve been using your theme and recently noticed that all pages are producing (at least) duplicate h1 tags, which is a major disadvantage in terms of SEO.
Are there any plans to fix that?
