I noticed when setting up some new pages that when I went to swap the page template, there were none of the other templates available in this theme. I spent a few hours troubleshooting and was unable to make any progress.

It would be great to get another set of eyes on this, as It seems like it should be working… unless I’m doing something wrong.

First let me say thank you for the awesome Abisko theme!
I am looking for help with a css issue that I couldn’t find in any of the other forum posts: While text correctly wraps images in the backend editor, this doesn’t show in the front end. Here text simply “follows” the image no matter what the setting.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Anders, thank you for such a wonderful new theme. It works great!

I have noticed lately that some of the design elements in the original Abisko are not present when creating a Child Theme (I have used the Create Block Theme plugin).

For example:

The ” and the orientation of the text in this pattern does not translate into a Child Theme. This is an example of the same pattern on a Child Theme:

I have noticed a similar problem in your theme Oaknut, where the shadow and the size of the icon do not translate into a Child Theme.

FYI:
– These screenshot demos were made without any plugin activated.
– I have tried to reinclude the classes into the patterns, doesn’t seem to work either.
– It happens with many patterns.

Ive got two sites running this theme and on one the design elements are missing under “appearance” > “editor”.

I’m not sure why? Is there an option to turn these on and off? The reason I want to see fullotions is to add a call to action button to the navigation. On the site with full design options this is OK as I can view the code and add. The site without the ability to edit the “navigation” code cannot have the button added.

Any idea how I can activate the full design options?

On mobile header text is a real mess. Is there a way to make it read correctly?

How do I reset everything? I’ve got issues with this theme and want to go back to the default setup. By default I mean fresh as if the theme has just been activated. I’m struggling to find a way to do this. Even when I delete the theme and upload and activate it does not fix it.

Hello Anders, thank you for sharing your theme. I’m very pleased to have found it, I love the clean simplicity of it, great job! It is my second favourite theme aside from your Fukasawa theme, which sadly isn’t a FSE theme.

I would like to tone down the size of certain elements, such as H1 and pagination. Unfortunately the latter wasn’t responding to me changing it through the Styles >> Blocks GUI, which is how I found out it is hardcoded on the Single Post template through the Previous/Next Post element.

Could you elaborate on why that is and whether to expect more of these design decisions, so I can prepare to go over each template individually rather than change the blocks site wide? Thanks so much!

On all ABISKO posts, how do I get the “By” line (bottom of post) to show my username?

thanks for your new theme. We switched to ABISCO from Fukasawa. Great news is, that JetPack gallery is finally working on desktop.

Problem is, thumbnails are blurred, as well as the featured image (which is probably the same). It was working all fine in Fukasawa. Now it seems featured image is 88×88 for some reason but rendered much bigger in both instances (on desktop) to it’s burred by resizing.

Also we have manually maintained menu structure that was showing on the left side (vertically) all the time , but we dont know how and where to display it (even as popup ) in ABISCO.

But it doesn’t work, it displays the content of the pages fine but not the Model Elements. We see them correctly displayed in the Site Editor tools” but not when displaying the site…

Do you plan on releasing the patterns from this theme, which could be used with your previously released themes? Can that be done?

Assuming files can be copied over to a child theme of a theme we use built by you? Or what are all the files that is used for patterns? I prefer the classic with block support vs full block support.

the pagination seems not to work in this theme.

1. There is no block available when I try to get i in via “+”
2. Then from the singular page I made a block to use again. Inserted the new “Nummerierung” block, but not showing up. I did clear the cache several times.

What is wrong with me an your newest theme?

the search function you provided for the footer in the Abisko theme seems not to word. If I search for it, the tags will not be found. Is there a way to customize it oder is it a bug?

How do I resize single page’s max height of featured image?

Default setting looks too big at desktop page.

Hi Anders, I am using this them on my blog and it looks fab. I want to create home page section which is full page just colour (no image but only bgcolor) and title in middle. Is there any pattern for this available? Or how can create this with this theme?

The theme is wonderful. It has so many options for flexibility with simple approuch. One thing that I have question is how to set the number of the words in the Excerpt?

I think WordPress default is 55, but I need less, around 20 or less.

Sorry, I am new in FSE themes and want to know: Is there a way to add a simple search form, may be in the header menu?

Hi,

the theme is awesome. But the layout collapses if I will reply to a comment. The long line “Leave a reply to a WordPress commenter” overlays the footer (on desktop, on mobile it looks also a little bit crowded). You can check it on the first post of your demo blog.
