Hello,
I was just wondering if there was any of the Express features / shortcode options included in your current release or if they are still intended in future updates?
Are you still wanting feedback on what ones to include?
G’Day,
What is the .zif MIME Type that I add to my server? Being the Type and Extension?
E.G
application/atom+xmlatom
UPDATE –
Realised I had a few things wrong, was trying to upload the .zif file instead of the javascript viewport thingy.
https://darthvordclan.com/map/Map.htm <- Got it working there
https://darthvordclan.com/world-map/ <- Not working using the shortcode
I upgraded the plug in to 1.5.1 version and I get a pop up message “Parameter unrecognized or deprecated – see the Parameters List documentation: zToolbarBackgroundVisible” but it seems it works properly. How can I disable the pop up?
Thank you
Hello!
I can’t import the image created in my wordpress site.
I just don’t understand the process.
I created the image with the tool and I find myself with a folder that contains other folders with photos and an xml file.
In the guide I read about .zif files to import, but there is none in the folder!
Could you explain me how to upload the folder? Thanks!
I am not able to show more than one image on a single page using shortcode… It works with the single image but not with two. kindly help
I’m having a strange issue where my Zoomify images will load very slowly, or not at all. However, if I am logged in as the WordPress admin and load a page with a Zoomify image it will load immediately. This issue is affecting some historic maps that I have placed online.
Can anyone guess what might cause this behavior? Zoomify had been working for years without any problems.
Am trying to get zoomify up and running on a new site using the Zoomify embed for WP plug-in.
I keep getting this error message:
“Network error. If using ZIF storage, setting MIME type on web”
It doesn’t really explain the problem or tell me what to do. However I have added a MIME type for .zif to my webhost’s User Defined MIMIE type list, and also added the line
“AddType application/hypercosm hcvm” to the htaccess file as recommended in the Zoomify readmefirst.txt for .zif files.
Neither seems to make a blind bit if difference.
Suggestions welcome!!
I would like to changes some options on these pages, starting with the skins. But changing to either skins=”Dark” or skins=”Light” does not change anything. Looking at the generated code, the zSkinPath shows …assets/Skins/Default/… in either case. How can I get that to take effect?
I would also like to change some of the other parameters as well, but do not see a way from the shortcode how to do that. It that change possible?
The site I support has changed to use WordPress and I have a collection of images that use Zoomify to display on that site. I have a test WP where I have installed your plugin but have not been able to get it to display an image. I am running WP 5.6 and the TwentyTwelve theme. Is there something with this release that causes the problem?
No error messages show up on the screen with this page. A larger image that I tested (which does not display either) pops up with a message that this page is slowing down your browser – replay wait or cancel. I reply wait multiple times, but the images does not display.
Looking for suggestions or advice on how to proceed to get this to work correctly. Thanks!
I am trying to figure out if this plugin supports sliders? How do I call multiple files or an xml?
thank you!
Hello, I am using WordPress on the Bluehost site, and just installed the very nice “Zoomify embed for WP” plugin. I had purchased the “PRO” version of Zoomify, and installed the PRO version of the .js file when installing the plugin on WordPress, as prompted.
I used a shortcode to display my image, and although I could see the image and move around and zoom, I would always get the message “Skin XML invalid” when displaying the image.
I discovered that the skinFiles.xml under the assets/Default/Skins folder which the plugin installed was different from the one in the similar folder that I downloaded from Zoomify after my PRO purchase. So, I replaced that single skinFiles.xml file with my version that I just downloaded (two days ago), and now the error message no longer appears.
So, that solved that problem. However, I cannot seem to make the Dark or Light skins work, or the Zoom level. Those are minor inconveniences, though. Perhaps I am formatting the shortcode incorrectly?
[zoomify file=”https://box5210.temp.domains/~redeftma/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/TextZoomB.zif” skin=”Dark” zoomlevel=200]
When I use that shortcode, I always just get the Default skin at 100 zoom.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PLUG-IN!! It is great!
Hello there, how can I achieve the same uniqName in the case of zcomparisonpath?
For example I have multiple zoomify containers on the same page. For each I use a ‘null’ on file because I don’t use the direct .zif file, but instead I use a .xml file via zcomparisonpath (the .xml contain absolute path for 2 .zif files).
Everything works great with one container if I will use file=’null’. I mention that I modified your version, in order to use the zcomparisonpath function.
So, I’ve tried to change the following rows:
$filePathComp = $a['zcomparisonpath'];
$fileNameComp = substr($filePathComp, strrpos($filePathComp, '/') + 1);
$uniqNameComp = 'zoomifyContainer-' . strtolower(str_replace('.xml', '', $fileNameComp));
unset($a['zcomparisonpath']);
$output = zoomify_container_js($filePathComp, $a, $uniqNameComp);
$output .= "

";
return $output;
But doesn’t work.
Hi
Do you now Why i get this message?
Thank you

How create ZIF format?
https://www.zoomify.com/free.htm not working?
Please help ??
Hello, Are you still supporting this plugin?
Trying to use the plugin but can’t get the zif file to display. I have checked the formatting of the url etc, I don’t see anything wrong but I may be overlooking something.
the shortcode I use is:
[zoomify file=”https://waldo.photography/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/0467-c-Panorama.zif” skin=”Default” zoomlevel=100]
I am using the ZoomifyImageViewerFree-min.js file.
What I am getting is:
https://www.waldo.photography/?page_id=5839&preview=true
Any suggestions welcome. I have quite a few panorama photo’s I would like to display with zoomify.
thanks
At the moment when you upload your Zoomify Pro or Enterprise JavaScript file via the WP Zoomify settings, it is stored in the plugin folder. Therefore it is overwritten each time you update. I will fix this in an upcoming release so the file is stored at another location.
Hello, I see that I can launch Zoomify with shortcode. I’m developing a site with “Vestige” theme for a museum that has magnific popup lightbox as default when I hit on a image. Is there a possibility to launch Zoomify instead of magnific popup so that it opens full page after I hit on the image?
Thanks
Got the func() call error described in a closed post on loading the plugin. I just ignored it and continued to load the Zoomify image. It flutters on page loading. And I don’t see how to control image size on load through the plugin. WordPress version 4.9.8.
Any help you can provide?
I see following at the top of zoomify plugin page in my dashboard:
Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘gh_zoomify_setting_section_callback_function’ not found or invalid function name in mysite//wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 1332
is this something that needs to be resolved or take care of or will express zoomify still work?
Hi, your plugin seems to be neat and easy but doesn’t work.
In the plugin settings @ dasboard i got warning:
Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘gh_zoomify_setting_section_callback_function’ not found or invalid function name in /…/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 1319
Page url links to example.
Hi Sander,
Is it possible to change the height of the image viewer box? I tried changing the height to 900px in the zoomify-styles.css file, but nothing happened.
Thanks,
Dave
G’Day
This has the potential to be an awesome plugin for a project Im working on… If I can get it working.
I have downloaded the free Zoomify plugin however when inserting an image, the output is simply a folder containing a great deal of jpg files/tiles for the image. I get this is how its supposed to work for the program itself but your plugin suggests that the free converter will create a .zif file?
Without downloading the premium version which still doesnt guarantee that a .zif file will be created, can you shed some light as to whether there will be an actual .zif file needed for your plugin or are you simply referring the the standard folder containing the many .jpgs
Hi
I FTP the zif file (and the jpg, just in case) into my server
I used as suggested the following code snippet
[zoomify file=”{fileUrl}” skin={Default}]
