It does not work on https
if yes tell me plz how?, i new to here for wordpress thnx .. in advance.
First of all thanks for this cool little helper, I use Youtube shortcode on a lot of my client’s sites. I recognized that Youtube shortcode is not working properly on WordPress 3.5 (using Thesis Framework 1.8.5).
See here: https://www.oxidio.com/wima-tells-you-the-truth/
or here: https://www.oxidio.de/2012/11/wima-sagt-wies-ist-schwangerschaftsgingivitis-folge-5/
(these are two different WordPress instances btw)
I cannot exactly say if it was the Update to WordPress 3.5.1 that killed the plugins output or if it was my Upgrade from Thesis 1.8.4 to 1.8.5 that I did lately. But it did work some weeks ago…
Thanks for your help!

I want to report a potential bug with the shortcode. It only seems to have started recently but isn’t related to the iOS 6.1.3 update.
I’m trying to view this video:
https://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/video-exclusive-yohan-cabaye-the-model/
I have the same problem with other videos on the site too.
It works fine in browsers on a computer and on an Android, but will not load on an iPad or iPhone 5. When you click on the video, the iPad fires up the YouTube app and reports “Error loading YouTube Link”.
I’ve tried both the short and full links as the src in the shortcode and both have the same issue.
Is anyone else getting this? And any idea what could be causing the problem?
I am trying to make the video float to the left or right, with wrapping text, but can’t seem to get it right using your example here (class parameter = alignright)
https://www.margenn.com/tubal/youtube_shortcode/66/class-parameter/
Using the “class=alignright” shortcode, the video does not actually produce a floating effect, it just aligns to the right with no wrapping text
also tried using float: right but didnt work.
Hi! I think you have a bug..
trying to add content of the post with ajax, the shortcode of the plugin is not parsed..
after I change line #35 in youtube-shortcode.php to
if ( !is_admin() || FALSE !== strpos($_SERVER[‘SCRIPT_NAME’], ‘wp-admin’))
it started to work as expected
I am having the same problem as one shown above. When I installed YouTube Shortcode in a new wordPress 3.5 website platform the Youtube video clip displays outside the div tag container I created to hold it. It works fine in the test site in WordPress 3.4.2. Not sure what to do to make it work. The deployed live site is at https://www.sportafence.com if you want to see what I am talking about. The following is the code that wraps around the YouTube Shortcode:
<div style=”width: 100%; height: 100%; margin: 0px auto;”>
<div style=”width: 920px; height: 476px; background-image: url(‘https://sportafence.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/HomePageGraphic3.jpg’); margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 20px; padding: 0px; position: relative;”>
<div style=”width: 515px; height: 321px; color: #000; border: 1px solid; border-color: #000; margin-top: 52px; margin-left: 68px; float: left; position: absolute;”>[youtube_sc url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYboSKdKuQk” title=”SportaFence–The%20Next%20Generation%20Of%20Portable%20Sports%20Fencing%20″ width=”515″ height=”321″ autohide=”0″ autoplay=”1″ fs=”1″]

I just updated to 3.5 and it seems that when I try to embed a video using the shortcode there is an extra blank embed box above the actual video. I have a ton of posts with this shortcode so please look into this.

Is there a fix for that?
2. It sounds like your plugin offers the ability to add RSS feeds for YouTube search terms, so that a page can display recent YouTube videos based on the search/feed parameters. Is that correct?

How can such a simple plug-in screw up what it’s supposed to do:
I installed the plugin and added the short code:
[youtube_sc url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gca-bD4gOec]
and what I see is You Tube explaining how to run their browser window.
What a joke…………..

I am using a child theme of Twenty Eleven. When the theme is viewed on a mobile phone the CSS of the theme adjusts for better viewing, but the Youtube movies stay the same width. This messes up the theme. Is there a way to resize the YouTube movies when it is viewed on a mobile device?

hi! thanks for a great plugin. I didn’t get one functionality I was hoping for – tinyMCE button for shortcode insertion, so I added it myself. I’ll send it to You if You’re interested.
I’m trying to use the plugin, but have problems with the flash embed appearing on top of drop-down menus, despite z-index settings. The solution seems to be to add the option wmode=transparent to the . Is there a way to do that besides hacking the plugin? Otherwise consider this a feature request ??
Thanks! /Mats
