This is a wonderfully straightforward plugin that does a great job. One thing that stood out is it could do with an offset, so for example this: [yt_feed channels=”UCpVm7bg6pXKo1Pr6k5kxG9A” results=”9″ offest=”3″] would make the first 3 vids on your youtube channel hidden, but it could be any number, and the next 9 added to the page
That way, you can make your channel more appealing if you want to, by providing a window of exclusivity for your YT audience, and the platform’s internal indexing system, before putting it out on your website..?
It could be cool if you post regularly on YT and want to wait a few days before it appears outside of the platform. ???♂?
yt_playlist works perfectly, but yt_playlist_v3 does not show the playlist thumbnails below the video player as it does in your example.
I’ve verified the YouTube API key.
]]>Hello,
First, Thank you very much for your great plugin !
I wondering if is a way to add the timestamp feature in the youtube codes plugin..
Regards,
Hi Ciprian,
First of all, thank you for your work.
Once updated to the latest version, the plugin works fine but causes a display change on another one (Rate my Post – WP Rating System) that works fine before. (The rate Stars field on each article appears in the middle of the page instead of the bottom).
It seems there is a code conflict between them.
Any idea ?
Thanks.
Hi,
I’ve been using the plugin for years and the recent update broke something. Check the size of the main video even on your page :
https://getbutterfly.com/wordpress-plugins/youtube-playlist-player/
The frame is very wide and the video very tiny inside.
Thanks,
]]>Hi,
I found it impossible to have two playlist on one page? Am I correct?
Kind regards,
Mike
Hi,
I love the plugin concept, it does exactly what I need.
However, I can get it to work properly, as clicking on the thumbnail of a video doesn’t result in loading it in the “viewer” (vid_frame) section.
I use the below shortcode, if that helps at all:
[yt_playlist_v3 mainid=”9pMbzNQAv4U” vdid=”9pMbzNQAv4U, ZIAPhlXGsjg”]
My Youtube API key is fresh, and the counter increments properly in the Google developer console, which to me indicates that it’s properly taken into account and used, and that this is more likely an issue with how the plugin operates in the browser.
Do you have an idea of what could fix this? Is this an issue with how the Javascript runs?
Best,
Pierre
Hello,
I activated the plugin and configured API. I am using static playlist and constructed the shortcode. Once displayed the videos on the playlist are one on top of the other instead of side by side. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Hamza
I did the API thing. I grabbed the short code. I put in the YouTube numbers with commas after each and between “”.
The first video shows and after that there are just blank boxes.
Also blank boxes run down the side of the page and not under the current video like it shows in the demo.
Please, what did I do wrong?
Thank you.
]]>Hello. It seems that when a bad video ID is passed (can happen when a video is removed on YouTube for example), a JavaScript error is thrown and then videos cannot be selected anymore.
Thank you.
]]>I’m seeing a javascript error being thrown in the latest version of Chrome on macOS on the example version of YouTube V3 API playlist player that prevents the other videos from being clickable.
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'addEventListener' of null
at ytppv3-main.js:3
I’m seeing the same exact issue on my WordPress installation as well. Same for Safari, latest version, latest macOS version.
]]>Hi, it would be great if you could add an option/filter to be able to modify the title, or to add to a description that shows below the video titles. We would like to, for example, add the video length next to/below the title, in a different font style.
Thank you.
]]>How can I make the video responsive (for mobile) for the YouTube V3 API playlist player? I see on your demo page that you are using a class called fluid-vids around the video iframe but the plugin by default does not have such a class around the video.

I am not able to save the general settings when I deselect any of the options available.
Here is a video to show you what I am referring to:

Thanks!
]]>Hi I copy and paste the example shortcode to my site but only the main video is shown, and the thumbnail doesnt show.
Am wondering if there are any solution for that.
this is the example shortcode use from the plugin’s site:
[yt_playlist_v3 mainid=”xcJtL7QggTI” vdid=”xcJtL7QggTI,AheYbU8J5Tc,X0zGS4-UKgg,74SZXCQb44s,2M0XCH9q3YI,CTNgVQGLy24,B8RpvoHsgI8″]
Thank you!

]]>I’ve looked at several “vlog” themes and cannot decide what’s best. I eventually searched for Youtube playlist plugin and found this one. I like the idea of displaying playlists in this fashion and would like some suggestions on a theme. This site will display 70+ playlists of 12 videos each and I want to make certain the site/navigation is intuitive for users. Thoughts?
By the way, if I wind up using this plugin, I’d love to donate.
]]>was working great until yesterday, after update the playlist is missing.
A functionat foarte bine pana ieri cand si-a facut update. de atunci a disparut playlistul
]]>Hi,
I’ve just updated the plugin to v4.2, and I’m experiencing this error in the JS console on pages where the plugin is not even used, or better said, pages where the shortcode is not being called.
ytpp-main.js?ver=4.8.1:54 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'dataset' of null
at window.onload (ytpp-main.js?ver=4.8.1:54)
window.onload @ ytpp-main.js?ver=4.8.1:54
This brought me to notice that on pages where the playlist shortcode is not being used, still it loads the plugin’s ytpp-main.js
and style.css
file.
It would be a good practice if those scripts are queued/added to WordPress pages via the wp_enqueue_scripts()
action, only when the playlist shortcode is actually present to render a YT playlist.
Good to mention that on pages where the shortcode is present, there are no errors and the playlist works as expected.
]]>Hi, I wonder if there’s a filter we can use to override the default markup outputted by the shortcode?
Thanks for this plugin!

Did you remove them?

]]>After the last two updates, the plugin crashed on both my sites. I got a message saying something like “The plugin youtube-playlist-player/ytpp.php was deactivated due to an error: The plugin file doesn’t exist.”
What’s the matter?
The plugin is running great, except the title for the main video as well as the titles of the thumbnails aren’t being displayed.
On the settings page, I only have two options: height & text color. I’ve tried adjusting it, but nothing changes.
I don’t really mind there not being a title for the video currently playing – I actually rather there isn’t. But I’d like the titles for the thumbnails, at least on mouse hover.
Is there a way to do this?
Great plugin, I’m having an issue where the video screen height is 360% larger then what is needed, I’ve found the div with the issue
.fluid-width-video-wrapper
it has an inline stlye of padding-top:350%
I’ve tried to change it with the my css page but I can’t seem to overwite your inline style…
.fluid-width-video-wrapper[style] {
padding-top:55% !important;
}
Here is a link to the page so you can see

Your plugin is just what we’re looking for.
Any way to auto advance to the next video?
Thanks,
Todd
