Hi!
Very nice plugin!
I have a feature suggestion that would be very useful: a way to add the shortcode to a menu on WordPress, so the user will be able to see their message notifications via the menu and not only via widgets.
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m getting this error in console:
query-monitor.js?ver=1545590151:314 {type: "deprecated", message: "Function create_function() is deprecated", file: "wp-content/plugins/you-have-a-new-message/you-have-a-new-message.php", line: 19, stack: Array(1),?…}
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks for any help!
Hi. First of all thank for the plugin.
Can you please update the second shortcode function?
So we had similar 2 shortcode.
Which is defaul used for message only
Update 1 more which is notification for all last component buddypress notification.
I found the similar, but it did not support shortcode which allow add to menu. And i also can not know how to separate message vs another notification from bellow plugin. So if you update your plugin will be great.

Thanks for a great plugin.
I have [you-have-a-new-message] installed in page, over forums.
Even when there is no message, a paragraph and break show where message should be:

This is causing some spacing issues for us. Is there a way to remove this paragraph and break when there is no message present?
Thanks for any suggestions.
I am using the plugin: New (BuddyPress) Message. I was hoping this plugin will help me send messages to my blog users. Its a blog with membersite feature. But i dont know how to send mesage as the admin to individual users, so that each user will have a unique message from others. I have added the shortcode but no place to congigure setttings or to even send message. Help! please..!
Hi Markus. This is simply an amazing plugin/widget for Buddypress. I had overlooked it at first but installed and tried it today and it is exactly what I have needed for my website. Buddypress should really have this as a core function but it took a genius like you to create it :).
Would you consider adding the ability for users to change the display message via the console. If not then users can also edit the code.
Thank you for your consideration and keep up the great work!!
