Hey! ??
I’m having an issue where the author can’t reply to a users comments without agreeing to the comment policy but we’re not seeing a way to agree to the comment policy in the backend and the checkbox is not available to agree to the comments while logged in. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks!

Hi Yoast,
I installed your plugin, because I had a spammer spamming us a lot with comments that where less than 12 characters. Their only goal is filling the URL field.
I configured the plugin to allow messages between 15 and 400 characters.
But it does not seem to work at all. I still get the comments in my comments overview and a mail in my mailbox with the comment in it.
What can I do?
On a side note: The Tabs on de admin page ‘Yoast Comment Hacks’ don’t work. Can you pease take a look at this too?
If you need access to my site just let me know.
Kind regards,
Jack
Guys,
All the email functionality no longer works on this plugin. Can this be fixedd?
Pete
]]>I’ve noticed for a while that my replies to comments on my blog are losing their “In reply to” line in the comment editor, indicating that their comment parent field is getting set to zero, and I’ve just found the culprit: it’s this plugin!
To replicate the problem:
1. Go to Comments on the Dashboard
2. Click Quick Edit under any comment that is “In reply to” another
3. Click Update Comment (you don’t need to modify the comment)
*. Everything looks fine, but it’s not.
4. Refresh the browser page to reload the comments page
5. Notice that the “In reply to” has disappeared
This plugin has a field on the Comment Edit page to let you fix this; but surely it’s not supposed to break it!
]]>Hi,
After upgrading to WordPress 5.5 the email button underneath the comments has disappeared. Have you noticed this as well or is it just my configuration?
Kind regards,

Does this work with Jetpack Comments?
]]>Comment redirect is not working for me. Have you tested it recently? The other functions of the plugin work fine. Thank you.
]]>Hi,
It would be great if the plugin had an option that automatically sends a reply email if someone replies to your comment.
I recently left a comment on one of your blog posts. I never knew Michiel replied to me until I checked back on the article a few weeks later. I think I should have received a notification email about that reply. Preferably with the reply itself and a link to the reply on the website.
Think about the following options:
1) If an contributer/author/editor/admin replies, always send a notification to the original commenter
2) Allow commenters to (un)subscribe to (all) replies to their own comment.
3) Allow commenters to (un)subscribe to all comments on the same article.
4) Allow commenters to subscribe to your mailing list (maybe best via zapier)
For 2 and 3: option to set this as default on or off.
I know there are other plugins that have that functionality
Thanks
JP
i am getting a error 508 while using yoast seo and plugin on my website https://leecoservicecenter.com/
but now i have deactivated but tell me what to do
I have installed Comment hacks and was wondering if there is a way to include the commenter’s comment in email commenter app. I do get the comment from the email that WP sends out (not sure if this is WP or theme or other plugin sending the email out) but it would be much easier not to have to cut and paste.

]]>I have installed v1.2 of this plugin.
I’ve set ‘Minimum comment length’ to 20 characters and the plugin displays the error message correctly.
However the ‘Go back & try again’ link isn’t working as expected – instead of returning to the comments box on the blog post it’s showing /wp-comments-post.php which is just a blank page.
]]>Hi,
I just installed Yoast Comment Hacks plugin for my comments and when clicking E-mailCommenter I get an error saying:
The program can’t start because WLDCore.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
So it is not working and I have no idea what this error is. Of note, my fellow blogger just installed at the same time as me and her email button is working.
]]>Hi guys great idea for a plugin, unfortunately the email button does not work and if you also untick the clean email option and save when you return it is still ticked… any plans to update and fix this issue or are you not supporting this plugin anymore
]]>I need a comment capability on WP page which is not a post page, but works like a post page. Will this do that?
]]>I often use WordPress’s comment reply feature to approve and reply to my visitor’s comments. To do this I need to access the blog admin comment page, which is normally linked in the notification emails. Clean Comment Emails appears to remove that link. When I go to “Clean emails” in Yoast Comment Hacks, deselect “Clean comment emails” and hit Save Changes, the change is not saved. Returning to “Clean emails” I find the setting still selected.
Could you please either fix the saving of this setting, and/or add a direct link to Reply at the bottom of the cleaned email?
Thanks,
Graham
Hi,
I noticed that in WP 4.6 with a neww theme I used I get this error:
“Notice: get_currentuserinfo() is deprecated since version 4.5.0! Use wp_get_current_user()”
I have found that get_currentuserinfo() is used in the the file /inc/class-comment-email-links line 49.
I replaced it on my site, and now have no more notice showing.
If this can help ??

]]>Hi,
I liked very much this useful plugin, it allow me to better monitoring conversions based on thank you page. I find out the redirect to thank you page didn’t work when you place a review via mobile (Safari iOs). Is it a bug? Have I to set up something different?
]]>Hi, I’m testing this plugin and I’ve found this:
Bugs:
Improvements:
I installed, activated and set up the plugin following all the directions.I created a redirect page for a Thank You after comment page, but after leaving a comment it does not go to that page, it throws an error saying that it is asking for some kind of security something ( I don’t remember exactly). To make the thank you page all I did was 1) create a page and call it Comment Redirect and 2) I chose the “Check this option if you want to hide page title and tagline” option on the page, that way it would only be seen after making the comment. Did I set up the page wrong? This seems pretty straight forward but yet I seemed to screw it up ?? any ideas please? For now I have disabled the plugin.
]]>how to insert Yoast Comment Hacks into my template.
]]>Hello Yoast,
I tried using the plugin, the error message is not modal and will go to another page (comment.php something). Also, when I clicked back the user will input again his comment details (will result to poor user experience.)
Is is possible that the error will be displayed on the same page?
After the error, is it possible to retain the comment details?
Thank you!

]]>I don’t know I tried a few things… taking out the comments moderation option. etc.
Just cant seem to get the comments redirect to thank you page to work… pity.
Wonder if it is because I have redirection plugin?
BUt otherwise the option to email commentators nice touch.
]]>hi
