This search solution removes your products from search if they are updated. You have to manually re-index the catalog anytime you make a change. Devs say this is by design and will not fix their horrible coding solution – even if you purchased several licenses.

It functions but the widget title has it’s own style and not using Standard style. Element Backgrounds are plain white. No option to change it other than making own CSS code for Theme.
I wish they would offer a Tag cloud for tag search.
I love YITH though as they have great looking UI, a lot of useful addons but in detail they lack options and some crucial functions.

but here is the issue :
1.you cant design the search box like remove button , put a magnifier or any icon you want.
2.you cant design the search box background color.even with css code. Because the plugin WONT Listen to you AT ALL.
3.you cant design borders.
4.you cant make an automatic search.

The plugin is deliberately undercooked to get you to pay extortionate prices for their Pro versions which are ludicrously priced – $1000 a year lol
You look back through the reviews here and most of the 5* reviews are from a few years ago and were made by YITH staff members. How is this even allowed to manipulate the ratings like this? A look through the other reviews of their plugins on www.remarpro.com shows a similar story. 5* reviews by YITH’s own team.
Stay clear. Any company manipulating their own reviews like that are not to be trusted. And shame on WordPress own team for turning a blind eye to this company.

Unfortunately the search bar cannot search through custom fields like the ACF fields. Even the pro version can’t. Dissapointing because there are free plugins that can.

The plugin does not work as stated these people are misleading the customers and if you ask their support staff to rectify the issues they state that these are custom additions and hire outside developers despite spending on such a shitty product. Here are the scenarios where we have received the responses –
1) Search by Title – Partial search does not work at all
2) Search by Title – If you hit enter or click on search button it does not throws any results. However, they rectified and claiming that its additional requirement. If its additional then specify clearly on your selling page that it will not work when you hit enter or click search button.
3) Search by Title – If you have commas, apostrophes, colons in your title there is no point you will get the results
4) Insanely slow plugin
5) Custom fields does not work at all.
Dont buy it. Its the pathetic plugin which I have ever used. Not recommended at all

We actually paid for this plugin – we got help for a couple of weeks but after that, none.
We thought the author died or something so we sent him a “pre-sales” question on another of his plugins and Voila, within 1 hour we had a response to that.

This plugin has never worked for my SKU numbers. It does show the item in the drop down menu but if you hit the “search” button or view all of the drop down, it says “NOT FOUND”. I would not recommend this plugin because of the issue above and because no one has responded on the YIT Support Ticket, support forums, or email I sent to the YITtheme. Its been over two weeks now with no response.

This plugin caused a crash on my WP4.1 site – to the point that I had to remove a .maintenance file from the root via FTP (the site hung and stayed in maintenance mode). Upgrading to 4.1.1 seemed to resolve the issue, but it’s no fun when you’re getting phone calls from a client who is turning money over on a site that will be down until I search the entire web looking for a way to remove the mintenance mode so I can get back in to both back-end and front-end. Need to test on 4.1 guys as it’s a real issue. Sorry.
