I was looking for a simple poll plugin displaying results in a pie chart, and thought I would try xTechnos Online Poll. I am able to generate and show polls (in posts and widgets), but the results are only showing up in the xTechnos polls section in the back-end admin panel.

Also – when adding a poll to a post – the poll is being put at the top of the page (above the post text), no matter where the shortcode is actually placed.

1. How to move the poll to the part of the text where it is actually placed – or below the text?

2. How to show the results to the voters (public) preferably in the same post/widget area as the poll are residing (it is crucial for all voters to view the poll results!)

3. The results appears as a (number) representative (pie) part/division of a 100%, instead of the locical: The number of votes submitted each option/alternative

4. There should be more than 4 category options

The developers has done a lot of good work with this plugin, but the above mentioned shortcomings are absolutely crucial and indispensible.
Is the developers intention to sort out this in the near future?

First of all, there is not enough only [xTechnos-Online-Poll] as installation instruction says, you must add ID of the poll post: [xTechnos-Online-Poll id="ID"]
Request variables of “edit pool” page is only place where you can get this value because there are no MCE buttons or custom metabox for this purpose.

When I finaly figured out how to make shortcode work, resuls of this work were found in unexcepted place – top left corner of wrapper DIV, so you must edit CSS before your poll will get in place where the shortcode is.

After I voted there was no results or something to show that my vote was accepted or not, just page reload.

At last, plugin is limited to four answer options. Maybe this can be solved with some custom field, but there is no documentation for this.

I know this is listed as not having been tested with WP3.3, but I thought I would be a guinea pig and give it a try – someone has to do this, right? ;-P

I am using WP 3.3 as a multi-site install on my development network.

I used the automatic install from within the WP Plugin dashboard, and received no error messages when installed Network wide.

I activated the plugin on one of my test sites, and again received no error messages.

I navigated to XTechnos Online Poll —> Add Poll to create a new test poll (very simple, two answers) and received no error messages.

When I click Submit, I receive the following error message:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
